Disappointing and expensive - Edit
Do you ever meet people who make you think, "It's a good thing breathing is automatic or you'd suffocate?" That was the level the woman behind the register at Island Brew was functioning at this morning. When I asked for a latte with two shots, she told me they didn't serve alcohol. The experience did not improve.
Read moreThe water station didn't have cups, the water was hot, there were unbused tables covered in birds, the drinks were wrong, and our food came out at random intervals. So that by the time the first person served was finished eating, the last dish was just arriving.
All of this could have been forgiven if not for the fact that it was $60 for 3 people. For that kind of money, I expect to have a nice experience. Sure, we were looking directly at the water. But that doesn't justify having to chase down a waitress to receive a half melted, soggy acai bowl. The food was fine but unispred, as was the coffee.
Just skip this place. There's nothing about the experience that's worth the money.

Very basic hummus with toast and smoothies. Friendly staff but they only had one or two food options.

Fresh healthy options for my omnivore friend and myself. I look forward to trying more. It’s a great option to bring your dog and enjoy the water views. Açaí bowl (no honey), Favalo, and coffees all delicious. ***update, they changed naan & the new one has egg in it; they substituted with Dave’s bread for me & FYI chips have dairy***
