Fabulous Food!

Vegan options were great! Creative and tasty!
Gluten-free options for people on a restricted diet.
Can't wait to try the breakfast menu!

Fun Chinese!

We love all the mock duck, and tofu options that are listed on the menu. We always order the sesame mock duck! Since they are close to our home we can order delivery, and the food is always, hot and the delivery people are friendly and courteous. It's not fancy, just good old fashion Chinese food.

Gluten-Free Crust is amazing!

29 Sep 2013

This is a little delivery place, but they have the best GF crust! My sister is GF, so she is always searching for prepared crusts for pizza night. Here she found a whole pizza for the price of a crust from the grocery stores!

Also, they have an amazing whole wheat crust, and great sauce.

They also will have several vegan options, with Daiya cheese.

They deliver all over the Fargo, Moorhead area.

Never Happy..

I know many people really love this ice cream shop. But I have never gotten a good soy ice cream here... or any other kind. They are either to salty, taste like soap, or lacking in quality.

Member finds lacking

Although this store usually has more variety in vegan cheese options. Neither store even carries the same products. The meat substitutes sections is larger than the 7th Ave store, however neither is very good.

They have the smallest tofu, and tempeh section in town. Only one brand of seitan available.

The only thing they do well is the bulk section. However, again neither store carries the same products, which is frustrating when you are shopping for a weekly menu and find yourself having to go across town for ingredients. Which they may have if you are lucky. Otherwise you find yourself heading to Whole Foods, wondering why you didn't go there in the first place.

Vegan options

I love that they have some vegan options, however they don't have a full selection of vegan cheese options, nor of the meat substitutes that can really help during those crazy day's when you just don't have time to cook.

The produce is fresh and they have a huge selection of bulk items. Their bakery section is super tiny.

Not sure what happened...

Only vegan pizza in Saint Paul, however they it appears they no longer serve the Daiya brand. Which is a problem as their variety contains cashews. Not very tree nut friendly, which is a problem for us.

Overall we have been unhappy with the service the past year, and have taken this restaurant off of our Friday night pizza place, preferring to make our own. Galactic pizza in Minneapolis isn't to far from us so if we really want to go out for pizza we can go there.

Sydney's Health Market

29 Sep 2013

During a recent visit to see family. We went to Sydney's to find Gluten-Free food for my sister, and ended up finding a whole lot more. Being on a dairy-free diet I was pleased to see they had vegan cheeses, and vegan meat substitutes.

When you are on a restricted diet, by choice or because of food issues, its nice to know there is a place to go in Moorhead. There are not a lot of options available in this area of the state, so it is good to see them.

They also had a large section of homeopathic and nutritional supplements.

The aisle were well spaced, the store was clean, the staff was knowledgeable. Overall it was a great experience. Prices were about average, some things more expensive than others.

Close by

When you need vegan food products, and want a variety of things, this is the place to go. They are going to build a larger store close by, which will be nice, as they are so crowded now! However, I will miss not having a store 1 mile away!

The only negative I would have is that they tend to rotate out products, so if you really like something you may not be able to get it next time.
