Yum

I don’t get here as much anymore due to the limited daytime hours, and there are less vegan options. But the options they have are still as amazing as ever. I love the korean brussel sprouts but tried a different feast today!

Duluth favorite!

Love this place! My carnivore husband took me here the first time. Good vegan gf options. A bit disappointed recently, as they took some of my favorites off the menu. On the bright side, they also added drinks with alcohol.

Pros: Good vegan gf options, Delicious drinks, House grown veggies

Cons: Fewer vegan gf options than before

Delicious!

Two breakfast entrees, a lunch wrap & multiple sides were identified as vegan as ordered. I had the besan chille (chickpea omelet) plus a side of red flannel hash & it was great! Try the dill pickle hot sauce made in Thunder Bay (or a hotter choice). You can see the vegetables growing in the boxes outside & archway trellises.

My favorite place in Duluth

The Besan Chilla is my absolute favorite meal. They have a fully listed vegan menu which makes it so easy and nice. I have been here well over a dozen times and love it every single time.

Pros: great food, listed vegan menu

Great food and amazing service

Went for breakfast, had the garbanzo bean enchilada with red flannel hash. Delicious! Love that there is a clearly vegan section on the menu, no need to go through an endless list of modifications to non vegan dishes. Our waitress was super good, friendly and efficient!

Pros: Good selection of Vegan breakfasts, Great value for money, Really tasty food

Hmmm.

I really enjoyed the Duluth Grill a few years ago. Today, I drove up from Minneapolis with 2 friends and insisted on going there for lunch. There were four vegan/vegetarian options on the menu. Our server mentioned other things could be made vegan as well, though it was hard to picture which ones. Also, I like to see what a restaurant is inspired to intentionally offer as the vegan option(s). So, I ordered the ‘vegan bowl’ and a glass of water. It was $22 with a tip for this one item. I guess I was surprised when it came out tasting like a mixture of canned food items and flavorless sauces. The house made walnut ‘meat’ had good texture but no flavor. The whole dish was dominated by an over abundance of stringy cooked onions and green peppers. I’m not a fast food fan, but I honestly think Chipotle and Taco Bell make a better version of this dish.
I was glad my friend enjoyed the red flannel hash. If I ever go back I’d get that.

Amazing! 5 stars for flavor!

Food was delicious and interesting. The flavors were complex, big portions, satisfying, 4 great vegan options, the Thai-sghetti is a raw zucchini noodle dish. Prices were not too steep but the food speaks for itself! Great service as well, friendly staff and fast water refills.

Vegan breakfast

For some reason it seems breakfast is the meal I struggle with the most in finding places to eat out but the vegan omelette made with chickpea flour was SO GOOD.

Best Vegan Options

Duluth Grill is super Vegan friendly. They don’t have a huge number of vegan dishes but they have a bunch of ways to make different dishes vegan (vegan walnut meat, cashew sour cream, etc)

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Worth the price!

Although this restaurant was on the pricey side, the food was spectacular! There were only a handful of specified vegan labeled options on the menu. I got the vegan bowl which was like a burrito bowl. The portion was huge and everything tasted very fresh. I would definitely recommend that dish! For dessert, I got the vegan pumpkin pie and WOW that was the best pumpkin pie I have ever eaten in my life!!! If you get nothing else, get the pumpkin pie!!!

Pros: Pumpkin pie!, Large portions

Cons: Pricey, Limited vegan specified options

Decent vegan options

There were a few vegan options, they are marked which is very helpful. My dish had polenta cubes which were surprisingly pretty good. Make sure to check your food though before you eat it because my friend with me found some unwanted ingredients.

Pros: Marked vegan options

Cons: Bit pricey

Could be better for vegans

There are always good vegan options in the menu and if you're a creative it's easy to figure out how to veganize some other items. Restaurant is clean and staff are friendly.

Unfortunately over the years I have seen that a lot of staff are not trained to know if they can veganize other dishes. One server didn't realize egg wasn't vegan, which is now the reason I specify no meat/dairy/eggs whenever I eat out. If you're a picky vegan, I recommend sticking strictly to their vegan dishes.

Pros: clean restaurant, friendly staff, fully vegan opti

Cons: some staff lacks training in knowing what other fo

Amazing Thai-Ghetti

The Thai-Ghetti may just be the best item on the menu! Great vegan option. Also tried the Buddha Bowl. it was good, but not as good as the Thai-Ghetti.
Several vegan options for breakfast, lunch or dinner and they are happy to make adjustments upon request.
A Duluth favorite!
