Authentic and old-style restaurants, but small and cramped - Edit
There seem to be two Yat Sum Vegetarians when I went to Hong Kong, one in Tsim Sha Tsui and one in Ya Ma Tei. This one is in Ya Ma Tei and by far it seems to have the cheapest meals in Hong Kong. That being said, this Ya Ma Tei branch is quite a small and cramped place. The food is decent and seems healthy but don't expect flavorful food. The place has a nice old-style atmosphere. One dish with a bowl of rice and soup costed 55 HKD.

Reasonable prices, good simple food - Edit
We had just landed in HKG and were in a nearby hotel. It was 15/20 minutes before closing and were desperate to eat a light meal. Luckily found this that was nearby.
Read moreHad a bit of difficulty to ask which items had eggs (I believe most dishes were dairy free). Luckily a customer spoke English and she explained to staff. The restaurant had minimal dishes available as it was closing time.
The vegan Pumpkin, Chestnut and Tofu was good. Would have preferred a bit more seasoning and some spice. The Vegan Eggplant and Green Peppers dish was also similar but slightly better as it had a bit of soy sauce. The soup was provided was plain as well.
Glad this restaurant was vegan friendly and they accommodated us. The inside is a bit cramped and clean. The place being older looking and small looked less OK. The staff kept it clean though.

Yummy, Cheap, and Fast - Edit
I had set G, which was some fried rice with soup for only 36HKD.
Read moreI believe most people get a set of the day. I can't read Chinese, but Google translate worked well enough for me picking the fried rice set.
There are only about 13 chairs in this place, but there are two tables with 4 chairs each and the rest are just kinda like a bar.
Pros: Price, Taste, Convenience
Cons: It's a bit small, The narrow openings of the tables

Down to Earth - Edit
The food is heartwarming, simple, and honest. We asked for recommendations for dishes that were not fried. The waitress was helpful, and we ordered a pumpkin dish, a winter melon dish, and soup. Everything was delicious!

Tasty and very affordable - Edit
Depending on what you order, you can get away with a tasty and filling dish for a relatively low price. I only paid 36$ (about 4€ something) for my dish and could barely finish. Very tasty.

Unique Flavors - Edit
I enjoyed the food overall. Definitely not a 5 star place but the flavors were very unique. There are actually 2 locations. One as this listing and one more North in Mong Kok.

HK hole-in-the-wall experience - Edit
The vegan hole-in-the-wall eatery to complete your HK experience. We had the tomato shrimp (#13) and tofu skin with ginger and veggies (#8). Both were excellent and both were gentle on our tummies and our wallets. The lady is friendly and gave us recommendations. Tiny place with shared seating, but relatively quiet and homey. Give it a try !

Best restaurant I’ve been to in Hong Kong - Edit
Super tasty food and really welcoming personal. The place is small and atmospheric, feels really authentic to Hong Kong. For 55HKD you are getting a main dish rice soup. Today I ate here twice and the food was so delicious! Yummy! Definitely coming back and bringing my friends😄

Tiny restaurant, zero English. There are set menus, hk$50 or so. The lady who runs the place is friendly. Look for the green doorway. Food was good, but not great.

Not much Mandarin either. But one of the cooks spoke English and the numbered menu by the till is bilingual. Quite easy in the end.
