6⭐—Literally the best vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to - Edit
I don’t say that lightly. Everything from the drinks to the appetizers to the entrees was absolute phenomenal. Tried 6 different things (did family style among a group of 4, highly recommended), and truly everything was exquisite. Truffled flatbread, vegan lamb meatballs, and yellow curry were particular standouts, but I’d re-order everything we tried. Such unique foods, and very fancy feeling despite being not even as expensive as anticipated. Would love to return

Love this place! - Edit
We had dinner here on a Monday night (make a reservation if you can!) and it was fantastic! The drinks were great, the staff was friendly and the food was awesome! We got the the cauliflower and mushroom fritter appetizers and for dinner we had the pasta and the risotto. Everything was delicious and if I'm ever back in the area it'll be one of the first stops I make!

This place was fantastic - Edit
Took my partner here for her birthday dinner and we splurged. It was worth it. Had a few of the 0% abv drinks and they were delicious. Had a zucchini snack the was great, the mezzie plate app, a mushroom app and a potato flatbread pizza. All were fantastic. Smiles all around. The staff was super nice and kind, totally knowledgeable and friendly. It it was in my budget, I’d go back again and again. Mostly I think we’ll think of this place for special occasions. Loved it.

Wildseed or nothing - Edit
Because Garden Fresh closed, Wildseed is the only vegan dinner option in Palo Alto. We'd gotten takeout soon after it opened and were not impressed but decided to go there for a family birthday.
Read moreAmong the four of us, we ordered two different flatbreads, a burger, and a curry bowl. Our server seemed rushed and ran off before we could order drinks. So, okay, no drinks.
The dishes arrived quickly, two of them with seriously undercooked ingredients. I had the potato flatbread, for example, and the sliced potatoes were raw. Raw potatoes can be toxic, and not what I expected for dinner.
The place is also super noisy, which I realize some people like, but which makes conversation almost impossible. The cacophony must be really hard on the people who work there.

Great food - Edit
Came in without a reservation and was seated immediately during peak dinner hours on Monday. I love Wildseed in SF and was pleasantly surprised to find this location in Palo Alto. The smoked coconut gouda on the chicories salad was delicious. I was never a salad person until I tried this one. The orecchiette was tasty, better than I remembered from the other location. It's somewhat of a small portion, but that's typical of Wildseed. There's also a kids menu here if you need it!

Amaaaazing! But pricey. - Edit
I’m vegan, and this place is heavenly! I loved everything I ate!
Read moreAppetizer:
- Albondigas - 5/5 (the best thing I’ve had in a long time, it was so good we got 2 of these! And I ate most of both the dishes. Reminded me off butter chicken gravy with kheema balls and the gravy was fabulous)
Main course:
- Neatball masala - 5/5. It’s a wholesome bowl, with greens, grains, veggies and the neatball masala that tastes like malai kofta!
Cocktails:
1. Coconut chai - 3/5, less alcohol, dessert like.
2. A gin cocktail (I think?) with chia seeds in the ice cube - 3.5/5
The only issue I had with the cocktails was the lack of alcohol in it.
Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the dishes in this ever changing menu lol.
Pros: It’s fully vegan!, Romantic
Cons: Expensive

Attention: we almost didn’t go. Luckily we did. - Edit
For some reason the pictures and reviews didn’t convince us to check out this place. Luckily, non vegan (!) friends made us go there and… we understood the problem: the food is so beautiful and delicious that it’s impossible to stop and take normal pictures. Definitely the best meal we had in California and definitely worth it. (Not cheap) you’ll enjoy every moment. We shared many different dishes, all was incredibly good. The cocktails both before and after dinner are the besttttt.

Great variety - Edit
My vegan son and his non-vegan GF took me here for dinner. The waiter gave great suggestions. We loved the Mexican corn cake appetizers and the baba ganoush. The mushroom fritters were pretty good. For main course, the Green Forest flatbread was outstanding. The risotto was quite good. The only dish that was disappointing was the orecchiette pasta- too peppery. And the warm chocolate cake was heaven especially with slice of carmelized banana. The cocktail and mocktail choices were enjoyable- I liked the charcoal lemonade.

Fantastic - Edit
I was introduced to this place by friends last night. Although located in an outdoor mall, they have managed to establish a nice ambience- including outdoor seating. The menu is a great selection of whole food vegan options as well as options using processed plant based meats (eg Impossible Burger and Beyond Sausage). I tried the mezze platter, watermelon salad, pasta and sausage flat bread, and all were fantastic.

Future /Michelin Star Restaurant? - Edit
The Wild Seed San Francisco is the Mother Ship for this future Gourmet Vegan Restaurant Chain. The Palo Alto Gourmet Restaurant has a magical ambiance on their dining patio nestled amongst beautiful hundred year old oak trees.
Read moreThe food is simple amazing. Vegan options of this caliber are often far and few between.. there are gluten free options on most every dish. The sauces used are pleasing to the palate. I always start with their Ensalda Andalusia. Fresh butter lettuce and a unique favored dressing that sets off the best summer salad I have ever had. I’m a regular patron of this restaurant usually. This is a very popular restaurant and reservations are always best, unless you sit at their bar, which has a nice assortment of non-alcohol drinks. But I see that filling up too! Yea it’s that good! The ranking on price is $$$$$.. A customer loyalty program would be nice to see. And you can’t go wrong making guest feel like family.. I’m excited to try the San Francisco location the next time in SF.
Ordering online for food to go is easy too. Their Flat Bread Pizza is phenomenal; I can’t believe it’s Vegan! My New Arugula Love. Five Stars with the potential for awards to come.

Fair - Edit
Pretty decent food, but personally not my favorite. The curry was too sweet and the flat bread was a bit too smokey for my preference. The baba ghanoush was also overly lemony. Although the flavors were great it just was not something I would pay for again. The chocolate cake was absolutely delicious— it was rich, not too sweet, and the ice cream on top perfectly complimented the warmth of the cake. I would recommend the cake but I did not enjoy some of the mains.
