Reliably decent Asian-fusion - Edit
Nice spot for a lunch special, food is tasty, and they offer the spectacular Peanut Butter Bomb from VeganTreats which keeps me coming back. I wish they'd tighten up their menu to specialize in the stuff they do best. There's a big emphasis on stunt meats which is great if you're into that (I am, for the most part). Overall, it's a reliable go-to but not a place I'm dreaming of for days afterwards.

Dish not as described, food half cold. - Edit
I appreciate an all vegan place, and I don't like leaving a less-than great review. But I have to be honest that I was unimpressed and wouldn't come back here. I ordered the black pepper seitan, which was listed as coming plated on a bed of Chinese broccoli. The dish is $17.50 (medium price in my book). The seitan itself was pretty good, a little more chewy than I prefer, but I still really enjoyed it. The sauce was tasty. But rather than being all seitan on top, half of it was mushrooms (would have been nice to know ahead of time)- extremely tough shiitakes that were clearly re-hydrated from having been dried. It didn't come with Chinese broccoli (Gai Lan)- a big disappointment as the whole reason I ordered this dish was because Gai Lan is my favorite vegetable! It was regular broccoli, overcooked, and pretty much cold. The plate hadn't been warmed either. I went during that "lull" time between lunch and dinner and the place was not at all busy, so I know that's not why these things were lacking- I would understand more if they were super busy. The only reason I give them two stars instead of one is that they brought out a miso soup for free, which was really nice of them. They do offer a deal on take out or delivery if you go to their website, at least as of the date of this review.

Thank you - Edit
I did not know that they have juice, I was just really want a chapchai and they were closing so I just order whatever is available to go, inside the summer roll is radish😄

I ordered a juice there once. I think they add sugar, because it was way too sweet. I will ask next time ago if they do.

Most of the chinese restaurants I think they add sugar in their juice, if the owner is a male they usually add sugar, if the owner is female they add honey, it’s from what I observed mostly. That’s why I brought my own juice nowadays if I have to eat there, or I’ll just take it to go it’s easier. I think juice generation is the best when it comes to juice, they have professional fully equipped juice machine

Decent - Edit
Updating my review for the 100th time and raising the rating to 4 stars…the ultimate verdict is, it’s a decent place if you know what to order.
Read moreDuring my first visit I thought the dishes I ordered lacked flavor somewhat - something was missing, like a little oomph that makes me think - oh yeah, I soooo want to come back here again.
However, I’ve gone back multiple times to try other things and some of them tasted amazing, some tasted “meh”. Some portions were very small, some were okay. My food was never exceedingly oily or salty, which is a big plus for me personally.
This is definitely NOT the place I would bring a carnist to, because I think it may just perpetuate the “vEgAN fOOd is GrOSs” myth in case they happen to order the “wrong” dish.
My biggest qualm with this place is them having dairy ice cream and tea options - WTF??? Those items are clearly marked in the menu. But still, why???
As someone else was saying, this isn’t LuAnne’s Wild Ginger.

We had pad thai, spinach won ton soup and ramen. The won ton soup was lovely, the ramen and the pad thai unfortunately not. The ramen was tasteless, no real miso soup, but rather salty water. The ingredients were fresh though. The pad thai consisted of rice noodles in a pad thai-ish sauce with sprouts mixed in and crushed peanuts, parsley and a slice of lime on the side. Flavor was mediocre, but it was overcooked and I missed the fresh sprouts and the onion greens on top. The menu offers a lot of options, maybe other dishes would have been the better choice. The place has potential though...

Never again! - Edit
Staff were extremely rude to the point where we were still eating and the waiter barked at us from across the restaurant ‘we are closed now, you’ve got to leave’ & before we had finished one of our starters the waitress picked up our dish while we were still dipping our samosas in the sauce! Food was below average for the price and there was no atmosphere for a Friday night. Never going back here again!

Traditional service you would recognise from the UK - ie the staff have the attitude - why have you come in here to bother me? Food was ok. Noticed on the all vegan menu some dairy milk options for coffee.

Utterly gorgeous - Edit
The food here was fantastic. A very wide range of Asian dishes. All vegan!! The staff extremely friendly - we were ordering food to take out for ourselves, 2 children and someone with various food allergies and the guy on the counter was really helpful. The portions are huge and come with rice and salad and we didn't know this so ordered extra rice etc and it came out expensive but you don't need to do that. Will definitely go back if I am in Williamsburg again!

People don't seem to know Wild Ginger on North 10th so the place is not crowded.
Update went back stew better!!!!!!!!
I had the stew -- the potatoes could have been a little more cooked but good food.

Bathroom A plus for cleanliness.

Good pan-Asian vegan food - Edit
I love the lunch specials at Wild Ginger. Everything I've tried has been good-great with my favorites being: sweet citrus soy protein, mango soy protein, and seitan skewers. I do wish they had more tofu items and less soy protein items or gave you the ability to sub tofu for soy protein. The wait staff is pleasant enough but not overly friendly and you may have to waive them down for your check.

Brooklyn Vegan - Edit
This is one of my and my husband's favorite vegan restaurants in Brooklyn. We have dined in and enjoyed their delicious lunch specials and ordered take-out for dinner. They recently moved from their old location on Bedford Avenue, where the ambiance was beautiful (seating in back under skylight), so I cannot comment on the new location. Highly recommend the mock meats, sweet citrus protein with kale, Singapore mai fun noodles, curry stew and yam tempura. They also have VEGAN Thai iced teas which are a definite must. Service is prompt and efficient and prices reasonable (for NYC). Definitely check them out if you find yourself in hipster Brooklyn.

Good Food, Mediocre Service - Edit
I've been to the Wild Ginger Café on Bedford Avenue a few times and would generally recommend it. If you're not into fake meats, this may not necessarily be the place for you. If you do, however, go for it!
Read moreI've tried a few dishes and enjoyed all of them. I really enjoyed their lunch deals because you can get a healthy, green meal that leaves you full for less than $12 including a decent tip! The lunch deals come with a soup or spring roll, brown rice with (soy?) beans in it and whatever you ordered. Everything I had there was really tasty, steaming hot, and just overall enjoyable.
While the food was great, the waitresses were usually very busy playing/typing on their phones. I don't really want people to touch their filthy phone and then carry the plate with my food. Meh.
Pros: Great Food, Good Value
Cons: Mediocre service

Disappointed - Edit
I've been to their Manhattan location before and had an incredible meal there but this Bedford location realllly fell flat!! I couldn't believe it. The food was impotent of flavor and creativity, the staff was bla se, the prices high, portions small and bottom line - food was not awesome. Might try the CG location down the line but super disappointed with my experience here. Also, they were playing lame music. I'm going to go cry now..

Very good food in pleasant atmosphere - Edit
After viewing their photos of meals served at this restaurant we decided to lunch there. Easy to get to, as adjacent to Little Italy. We had Passion-fruit tea (ok) and lemon ginger beer (excellent) followed by 2 entrees. Sietan satays were good, the King oyster mushrooms superb (could be taken for calamari deep fried in a golden tempura batter). presentation and taste of all items excellent, waiter service fast and professional. Cost US$49

DON'T MISS THIS PLACE! - Edit
I promise you will want to eat here every day. Meals are big, so easy to split with someone (especially if you're getting an appetizer to go with your meal). Tons of delicious veggies and vegan meats. Order a beer if you like. You won't believe their homemade sauces. WOW. Great location and even though it doesn't have a ton of tables (no place in this area really does), there's rarely a long wait. EAT HERE!

Without a doubt the best vegan food in Brooklyn and for a great price! Everything I have had there is amazing. The Sweet Citrus Soy Protein with kale is amazing! And I am not usually a fan of sweet citrus flavors, but this is amazing! In fact, everything I have had here is great.
