Read moreThe food... Incredible. Seriously good. I ordered the "meat" balls with smashed potato pickled zucchini and lingonberries and it was absolutely delicious. Then the dessert... I ordered the Pannacotta and I can honestly say it has to be one of the best ones I've ever had. Definitely in my top 3.
So, would I recommend it? 200% yes.
Pros: Atmosphere, Food, Pannacotta
Cons: I would've liked a non-alcoholic wine option, Maybe a third dessert option, there were only 2

Great for "original" swedish food veganised - Edit
We had a lasagna and of course some swedish meatballs with potato mash und a delicious sauce. It was a great way to eat some traditional food in Sweden. Would recommend a reservation though, the restaurant isn't that big and seemed pretty crowded.

This is the perfect place to go for a genuine Swedish meal in a vegan version. Their meatballs with mashed potatoes and lingon berry was wonderful. I recommend taking it away to enjoy by the water!

Wir hatten die Köttbullar mit Kartoffelpüree und Rahmsoße. Sehr lecker! Das Ambiente war ebenfalls sehr gemütlich. Der einzige Nachteil war, dass es nur eine Toilette gab und man lange anstehen musste. Zudem war es recht teuer. Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man leckere schwedische Köttbullar probieren möchte!

Traditional vegan Swedish meatballs! - Edit
Very authentic and delicious vegan Swedish meatballs which got the seal of approval from my non-vegan Swedish mother who confirmed that these were “properly done”. The meatballs were nostalgic, and the sauce and lingonberry were delicious too. Really good mashed potato. No complaints about the meatballs, they hit the spot for my craving! Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere in the restaurant too. Would recommend.

Nothing really wrong with the food but thought the menu was a bit basic. I had Edamame with Salt & Lemon, then Burger and Chips so nothing fancy. On another day I would have tried the meatballs and mash for something a bit more traditional to Sweden. Food was tasty enough, burger was a basic shop bought one. Pricey because it's in the very beautiful Gamla Stan which is ultra touristy, hey ho. On the plus side it's fully vegan.

I love that Verte serves traditional Swedish food veganized! We had the Swedish meatballs which of course were fantastic. Perfect sauce on them and they were served with mashed potatoes and lingonberries. The soup was good too, as was the dessert!

Swedish meatballs really delicious but - Edit
Everything else was just fine. Not the *very* good food in some other’s posts. The actual restaurant, unless you eat outside, is a bit worn and could do with a spruce up. 3 mains, a side, 2 soft drinks and 1 alcoholic came to £92 which felt crazy expensive but we assume that’s because of its location more than anything. Friendly staff though.

We went a few times- great little spot with some outdoor and Inside seating. We tried the meatballs (excellent), rice bowl and the baked potato with chick peas, and the panne cotta, which was amazing. Friendly staff and fairly quick service.

I loved Verte so much that I ate here twice on my trip to Stockholm. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. The meatballs are handmade and the best I’ve ever had. To die for. I also loved the bbq chicken bowl with mango. Seriously, I wouldn’t change a single thing. 10/10 perfection.

I was so excited to come here to get the vegan Swedish meatballs with the lingonberry and mashed potatoes with sauce. And I was right…. It was so good!

The problem was the other item we got. The baked potato with chickpea “curry” was bland and just…. bad. The potato was warm but the chickpeas on top were cold….?? And it was very expensive for what it is (~$22 USD). I was so disappointed since the vegoballs were so good.

I had a burger which was quite tasty. The french fries were luke warm, and therefore not very tasty.
