Cocina deliciosa y muy cuidada. Se nota la mano de los chefs experimentados. Pueden parecer a priori platos sencillos pero cuando los pruebas te das cuenta de que podrían ser alta cocina. Las alcachofas y la miniburguer con queso feta, mis preferidos.

Amazing vegan tapas - Edit
Tried a bunch of things with my husband and everything was delicious! We got the hummus (amazing!), Cauliflower Tikka Masala (amazing!), Peppers with Cream (meh/good), Velada Bravas (amazing!!), and the Candied Figs (boo, but it turns out I don’t like figs).

The venue is easily findable in one of the more popular streets.
Read moreWe were lucky since we had the last table, reserving was not possible anymore the day itself.
We had the following dishes:
- Teriyaki Skewers
- Cauliflower Tikka Masala
- Pulled Barbecue Taco
- Pan con Tomate
- Artichoke Flower
- Bomba barceloneta
All recommended and were very tasty. The Born Barcelona rose wise was a good choice.

Fabulous tapas & burgers - Edit
We came here on our vegan tapas tour with our tour guide, Sandra. The selection of tapas we had, including their house special jackfruit bomba, was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the food so much we decided to go back for dinner the next day and got to try their outstanding burgers. The non vegans in our party were extremely impressed!

Only had room for two tapas: patatas bravas and tartare. I prefer crispy potatoes, but these were still good. They did a great job getting a seafood flavor for the tartare - very fresh. The chocolate martini was very chocolatey. It’s has more of a formal restaurant feel than a casual cafe, which is a nice option to have for vegan eats.

We ate in Velada as part of a vegan tapas tour (with Sandra) & enjoyed it so much we went back the next night! Even our non vegan husbands were happy to return! Fantastic burger & crème brûlée, as well as tapas that we shared. Service was excellent too! I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take pics!

The selection of vegan tapas is great. The vegan bomba was my highlight. I also had the guacamole taco, hummus, and brulee. The restaurant itself is stunning with an ornate ceiling and stylish decor.

Read moreThe no salmon tartare is amazing, when I saw it it looked like carrots and I thought it was gonna taste meh but it tastes just like salmon, mind-blowing.
All of the other tapas were amazing as well. Good alliolli.
I loved the Panna Cotta itself, maybe the raspberry sauce was a little too sweet.
Decent wine selection, we had a sparkling white bottle for 20 euros, not bad.
Fair prices and very nice staff.

Went with a large group and ordered several vegan tapas. Some were excellent, and some that you expected to be excellent (like samosas) were not. I might go back to try a proper entree, but I'm in no rush to do it.

Amazing Tapas Experience - Edit
With only a few days in Barcelona, I made it a point to enjoy some plant-based tapas before I returned back to the States. Velada was there to deliver a wonderful dining experience for me.
Read moreAs a solo traveler, it was easy for me to get carried away and order too much (which I may have slightly done). I indulged in their patatas bravas, artichoke hearts, bomba, and their paella (which I probably didn't need).
The first three items were all delicious. Loved being able to enjoy patatas bravas with a vegan friendly sauce and I especially liked the crispiness of the bomba. The paella was not bad but definitely could've saved room for a dessert or another dish.
If you're looking for a vegan tapas experience with friendly service and an extensive menu, this is your spot.

Best restaurant in barcelona during our 4 day trip. Tried almost all tapas 😁 and everything was really super tasty. The dessert was not quite to our taste. For example rhe tiramisu was a bit monotonous. And i wouldn’t order the sangria carva with ginger beer. For us personally it was to sour. Everything else was fantastic. Over all experience, price for value and staff was 5 star . Will definitely visit again

We went to Velada for their tapas although they do also have large plates.
Read moreEvery dish we tried was delicious, it was clear that they put a lot of thought into the menu and added a little bit of extra care into every dish because everything was cooked to perfection; the chickpeas were soft, the peppers had the right amount of bite.
I really couldn't pick a favourite dish because we really enjoyed every single one! Nothing tasted processed, even the sheese tasted like they might make it in house although I'm not sure about that.
The service was excellent and the location is very central with a good selection of drinks. I tried the cava sangria and it was really tasty.
