Good buffet food - Edit
Nothing overly fancy.
Read moreThey didn't give us any option for "pay by weight" that they advertise. It was either "1 plate of buffet food" or "all you can eat buffet"
I took the option for 1 plate and it was plenty of food.

Delicious dinner - Edit
This really is a special place in Melbourne!
Read moreThis is a all you can eat vegan restaurant with delicious dishes! You can also pay by weight if you want
The variety is great and it covers all your foodie cravings! My favorite were the Duck Salad 🦆 the chicken curry 🇮🇳 and the crunchy fritters 🔥but also paneer
Basically everything
I had one of the best coffees here as well
Come here during dinner time to get free ice cream 🍨 I highly recommend the caramel ice cream 🍨 I also had a delicious Flat White ☕️
They spend some of their profit for a good cause - which is truly amazing 🥹
The food is well flavoured and nicely presented
Unlike other buffet places it’s always fresh here
Well decorated and good wifi
Lovely service

The butter chicken and saag paneer are my favourites too. So good! With some of their fresh naan.

Have something for everybody - Edit
You get a lot of dishes to choose from, from different countries/ cuisines… you also get some sauces, chutneys etc to choose from and something sweet as well😄
Read moreIf you would like to get something else for your sweet tooth then you can also get their ice cream or baked goods!
Offer a lot of different drinks!
Staff is very friendly and I like that you can fill your box on your own, the way you like it and as much as you can fit in 😅
You can also get the sauce of your choice in an extra little container!
They offer 3 different sizes for takeaway boxes
Smallest = 12.50$
Middle = 20$ - 2 compartments
Largest = family value pack for 22$ instead of 25$ but box is divided in 4 compartments
You can also dine in - also different sizes for the tray available and if I think they also offer all you can eat (but not 100% sure about that)
Also have delivery service

Don’t offer an a la carte menu if you don’t want people to order a la carte! - Edit
I went to this place based on its prominent placement on the HappyCow website, and because the online menu looked very good. When I got there at early dinner time (a bit after 6pm), I asked to be seated, and the guy tried to get me to go straight to the all-you-can-eat buffet. When I told him that I wanted to order from their a la carte menu, he frowned and said that it would take “at least 20, probably 25 minutes” if I ordered from that menu. When I told him I wasn’t hungry enough for an all-you-can-eat, he tried to sell me a once-though on the buffet, which was still about one-third more expensive than what I actually wanted to order. I decided I didn’t want to pay more, but I also wasn’t willing to wait around until they could get themselves to cook what I wanted to order.
Read moreAs I wrote in the title of this review, why offer a menu that you don’t want people to order from? I wasn’t asking for a special item, just to be able to eat one of the dishes that they listed on their own pre-printed menu. It felt like a heavy-handed up-sell. Very much not appreciated. It’s too bad, because I prefer to support vegan-only restaurants. But if HappyCow didn’t force me to give this at least 2 stars, I wouldn’t.
Pros: Appeared to be clean
Cons: Not as advertised

Tasty & laid back - Edit
Lovely place with a very friendly vibe, great food and good value. You can get a box, tray or go for all you can eat ($28) so great value depending how hungry you are! Food is varied and tasty. The saag tofu, Mexican beans, butter chicken, veg dumplings and Waldorf salad were particularly good. Also they have sustainable packaging and donate 10% profits to animal charities.

Love Having The Option! - Edit
This is the first time I’ve ever seen a vegan buffet. The food taste wise is pretty on par as far as what you’d expect very descent. The thing I loved most is the variety of options Vegie Tribe provided. Very friendly staff as well.

Great Value - Edit
Exceptionally good food for the amount of money you pay. They changed their pricing and don’t do pay by weight anymore. We paid $14.50 for a tray we could fill with as much food as we could fit, so I’d say the value for money got even better. Also, I think they don’t really change the buffet options (which is totally fine, because I seriously love what they have).

I feel like it is quite cheap for Melbourne and for the options and the amount of food you get. You can get a box for $12 and I’d say that it fits a lot. All you can eat would be $28. Considering you get free water.. But obviously it depends on how much you wanna eat and what kind of budget you have in mind:)

Overrated - Edit
Not impressed by this place. Quite ordinary, almost tasteless food. I love lasagne but theirs was actually so bad that I didn't manage to finish it. The butter chicken was probably the only thing I liked.

A great 100% plant based buffet bar. Pile your plate up as full as you like, and lots of choice of great tasting food. They have stopped charging by weight for now, I paid 19 dollars for a plate and 2 side dishes to fill up on. 28 dollars and you can go back as many times as you like.

There’s a great variety of food on offer and I like how the menu is always changing. It’s pay by weight so it can end up being quite expensive. They do offer discount for students.

Vegan All you can eat directly in the CBD - Edit
Love that this place is so centrally located and charging around $ 27 for all you can eat is definitely a fair price (although it's even better to go there during lunch time for the lunch deal!)! They have quite a good selection from salads to mains to desserts. I was especially a fan of the mains. For the desserts some had a dominant soy taste, which was not for me, but I guess that's definitely personal 😄 Instead I'd suggest getting the icecream - while not part of the buffet it's super delicious! I especially like the pistachio one 😍 Also a big shout-out to the staff! We always feel very welcome :)
