Amazing food, amazing concept - Edit
Love this place!! If I lived in melbs I would grab lunch here regularly. There were so many yum options and it was great to be able to dine out and get in lots of veg and fresh foods. Special mention goes to the butter chicken 😋😋😋

There's a huge variety, and the staff were really friendly. We will come back again. We have never been able to eat at buffets because they were so meat heavy and it was just not worth it. But this is the bomb. So happy to find a vegan buffet in Melbourne.

Maybe we arrived a little later than we should of but found some of the food to be a little stale (dumplings, fried things). Hot dishes were nice but definitely on the healthy side. Love that you can get a beer or wine with your meal. We had beers and then a chai tea.

Loved our stop here visiting Melbourne. We especially enjoyed the leaf wrapped spring rolls, cold and full of flavour; we kept going back for more. Gratitude for this space.

We enjoyed our lunch here yesterday, lots of great options and the prices are excellent too. Special kids prices (under 6 free!) and discounts for students and seniors too. The curries were spicy, and not marked as such, which was not good for some of our family members. Some of us didn’t like the coffee at all, but hopefully it will improve. The manager asked us for feedback as we left and was very attentive to our feedback. All in all, a great vegan option in the city.

Great selection at this place including pizza, pasta, curries and multiple desserts and drinks! All you can eat or you can weigh your plate before you eat and pay that way. We opted for the weigh your own plate as it was slightly cheaper if you didn’t want seconds! The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very friendly!

So yum!!! Lots of amazing food. I was a little disappointed as I saw other reviews and they had lots of interesting options like vegan duck etc and yummy flatbread and we didn’t have that, there were lots of curries so would have been nice for more variety in that sense.

A wide range of different dishes available from the buffet. All 100% vegan! We especially appreciate the signs indicating if it has garlic or onion in the dish. All the food was really delicious and the service operated smoothly. The owner/manager was very friendly, informative and helpful. I would highly recommend. They are down a small side-street in the city, so I just hope they get enough customers and do well!

Take a tray, help yourself and either pay by weight or pay $28 as much as you can eat. I especially enjoyed the fried rice and curry options. Lovely place to eat in, staff super friendly and they have a reward program, free drink after so many visits, free meal after so many visits. Menu changes throughout the week. Loved it and will definitely go back.

This place is awesome. If you’ve never been before. One of the friendly staff will help you through the process. It’s basically pay by weight or pay a set price for all you can eat. We paid by weight and worked out that the all you can eat price was about double what we had, so you would need to be quite hungry to go for that.

I was in two minds about trying Vegie Tribe. I certainly didn’t rush to it, due to the mixed reviews. But if you know me, you know I can’t stay away from a buffet!
Read moreI went early on a Saturday evening (like, before 6pm!) and it was already starting to fill up. I popped a bit of everything I liked the look of most on my tray and it weighed in at $26.80 - I thought it’d probably get close to the $28 max so of course I opted for all-you-can-eat. It was Happy Hour so I added a can of Furphy for $5.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that all the dishes I tried (and I tried most!) were diverse and tasty. Some worth going back for, namely the butter chicken, palak paneer, and the ginger duck. Yes, all the mock! The naan was soft and fresh and the pizza exceeded my expectations too. The pesto pasta is the only dish I wouldn’t recommend, I found it very bland and oily.
The problem with eating all that bread and wheat meat, washed down with a beer, was that I rolled out of there pretty bloated. Although now I’ve identified my favourites, I’d save room on my tray and my tummy for them.

Came here with my meat loving boyfriend who asked if we could come back tomorrow because he wanted more of the butter chicken!! (He says the butter chicken was fire AF) The food is awesome, and well priced. I don’t eat much but filled up my tray and it only came to a total of $12.50 with my student discount. Great proof that you don’t need to overpay to get a decent feed

We visited on a Saturday night and hence is was very busy. Weighing at the counter whilst people were paying for other items, asking questions and wanting seats etc made it a bit messy and awkward. The food was good, but if you add a normal amount of food it easily equals the buffet option of $28, which is expensive if you don't go back for seconds.

My only downsides for this beautiful place is that the desert options on the buffet never taste very deserty (to me), haven’t been a huge fan of the desert, and too many of the foods are hot (spicy) and a few without any indication that they will be spicy.
I also have ordered a fresh made juice that was so refreshing and filling.. have come about 6 times and will definitely be back plenty more !
