Orange “chicken” was delish! - Edit
The orange seitan was SOOO good and the seitan tasted like the chinese ribs I used to order before I was vegan (ie it was pretty meat-like which was great!) I also got the veggie tempura which was good but not anything noteworthy.

Would like to give another try - Edit
Ordered with high hopes. Food was good, but would like to try other things. The hash was just hash browns, Seitan was good. Scallion pancake was good, noodles were dry & very lemony, and the dumplings were meh. I think it’s a great option to have in PVD as it is all vegan.

Very impressed!! - Edit
So nice to find an all vegan Asian restaurant. The sesame tofu dish was very impressive. It included broccoli and zucchini with brown rice. The veggie tempura was so good. I haven’t had veggie tempura in years. Dumplings were average but that’s ok because the other items were far above average. I will absolutely come here every time I’m in providence!!!! Thank you for the delicious vegan food in the heart of providence!

This is my #1 vegan spot in New England - Edit
All vegan. A wide variety of food options as well as beverages of all kinds. Hot, cold hard and soft. They provide CATERING sized orders as well. My top recommendations are the generals protein and Autumn roll. There is nothing like their autumn roll.

Tasty cuisine! - Edit
We came here for lunch and I was really impressed with these lunch deal with a main dish with rice, a spring roll and miso soup. There's a really extensive menu which is great, not used to having so much choice! Also it's a fully vegan establishment so would recommend 100% when in Providence.

Amazing!!! - Edit
Just tried Veggie Fun for the first time and was absolutely shocked by how delicious the food was and how many options there were! My fiancé and I tried the age tofu, curry samosas, miso soup, macro bowl, udon soup, orange chicken, and chocolate fried ice cream and every single item was incredible! The service was great and the interior is so cute! I will definitely be back to try more!

Great Delivery Options - Edit
Ordered Veggie Fun through Grub Hub and loved how large the menu was! It was delivered very quickly on a weeknight, and reassuring to know everything was vegan. Can't wait to eat there in person and try new menu items!

vegan fun at Veggie Fun - Edit
As a frequent visitor to Providence, I often eat at either Veggie Fun or, when I feel ambitious enough to make the slightly longer trip just over Providence’s northern boundary to Pawcatuck, Garden Grille. (I long ago crossed off of my list The Grange for being too greasy and too boozey, crossed off Like No Udder for being merely an ice cream parlor, and recently crossed off By Chloe for being a glorified snack bar for the college crowd.)
Read moreI prefer Garden Grille over Veggie Fun because GG offers a greater variety of more nutritionally wholesome foods. I shun all of Veggie Fun’s many highly processed mock meats as fake foods that make a mockery of veganism, so I am left with only a few dishes from which to choose, fewer than even at most standard Chinese-American restaurants. (The same dismal dish count of wholesome foods compared to mock meats holds true for all Loving Huts, too.) While I wish Veggie Fun served more all-veggie entrées and fewer mock meats, I applaud its serving brown rice. Indeed, it serves only brown rice. The nutritional difference between brown and white might be slight, but I consider their serving only brown rice to be akin to making an important political and social statement. Likewise, our never eating white rice, and eating only brown.
Veggie Fun’s ambience is quiet and relaxed, and its seating is spacious and comfortable. Its conventional ‘Chinese restaurant booths’ are conducive to engaging in meaningful conversation with your dinner companion. After 5pm, street parking is free and easy to find, often right in front of their entrance. The front entrance steps are steep, but a sturdy handrail enables their safe passage even for me on crutches. I have never thought the service to be sluggish or inefficient as have some other reviewers here, but that might be because I have never been in a hurry when dining here, or am never in a hurry generally.
During the eight or nine times I have eaten here, I have always had vegan fun at Veggie Fun.
Pros: spacious and comfortable seating , centrally located on the edge of downtown, brown rice only
Cons: too many darn mock meats

Meh - Edit
The food is ok. I haven't eaten your standard fare Asian food in many years, but to be honest, this doesn't even come close to the standard, hole-in-wall Chinese joint. Everything I ordered was extremely sweet, which was weird. The kimchee noodles were not spicy at all. The steamed dumplings were good. The pricing is outrageous for the portions they give you. To spend that much for sub-par food in small portions is silly.

#1 Place to eat for me and my partner - Edit
Both me and my boyfriend love this place! We come here all the time and have also ordered delivery multiple times through GrubHub. I love that it’s all vegan so no worries about anything. We’ve pretty much had almost everything on the menu, but our favorite dishes are the General Tso’s Soy Protein, the Autumn Rolls, the BiBimBap, and the Korean Style Clear Noddles. Service is also great, friendly staff, lots of gluten free options, price is good for the quality of food and service, and not a long wait time for food even when it’s busy. We’ve never had any complaints coming here or any complaints about the food when it’s delivered.

Pad Thai was good :) - Edit
I tried the pad Thai topped with peanuts. Be aware that they mean REALLY topped with peanuts, but it was very good. Service was very fast and a tad rushy, but definitely not anything that took away from my meal. Expect most options to be a little pricy, but I would highly recommend.

General Tso the best! Just don’t order appetizers and meal at the same time. They don’t know how to space out the meal and you end up with all the food at once pretty much.

So many options! - Edit
I really enjoyed the food here! It was super hard to choose what I wanted on the menu as it's quite large. I had the soy fingers for an app, which crispy and tasty. I really enjoyed my orange flavored satan too. My favorite part was that it came with a large portion of steam broccoli. Nice to balance out the plate with some veggies that weren't fried.

I love breaded and fried protein in sauce, and their sweet and sour delivered on everything I was looking for. It came with miso soup and brown rice to complete the meal. My bf had the hot and spicy noodle soup and that was fire, literally!
