After reading wonderful reviews, a friend and I went there for lunch yesterday.

The food that came was a bit of a surprise in it seemed like a lot for a lunch portion. It was lovely to look at and delicious!
However, when the bill came it was Not from the lunch menu , so make sure if you go verbally specify you want the lunch!! I was a bit disappointed in how that was handled. I am hoping it was simply a misunderstanding and not deliberate. They should have asked, lunch or full portion! Especially when I was pointing to the lunch portion. Also, I was told that the spicy dishes were not really that hot but it was on one of the dishes. You can ask them to to tone it down.
I will give them the benefit of the doubt once, if it happens again it will be my last visit. Advice , be clear in what you want and have them verify before you place your order. Then enjoy the food, it is very good.
I would give it a higher rating because the food is great but the service left something to be desired. I had to ask for a refill on water, which was my only beverage and it was not busy at all. Also had to ask for a serving spoon and they knew we were sharing, they brought extra plates.

Quiet Vegan Place That's Yummy! - Edit
After recently moving to RI, I thought it might be a struggle to find great vegan places but this place has become a go-to. It's a small restaurant on a busy street, but inside, it's dark and quiet. The food is wonderful and the drinks are interesting. There's also a lot of seitan dish options that are delicious. My boyfriend got a lychee mojito and while I think lychee's look like eyeballs, the drink was fantastic. The staff was great, and their warm curry soups are perfect now that it's getting colder.

Bring non-vegans, everyone loves it! - Edit
One of our favorite restaurants! All vegan! Our fave dishes are the sweet and sour soy protein dinner (which is better than any non-vegan sweet and sour chicken I had before I went vegan!), general tso's, and teriyaki seitan with green beans. Fried ice cream dessert is fantastic to share. I bring non-vegan family here, and everyone loves it!

Read moreWe both love the soy fingers and soy nuggets, general tsos soy protein, orange flavored seitan, and mango soy protein. They have plenty of dessert options as well and I LOVE that vegan fried ice cream!
You get your food fairly quick even when the restaurant is busy.
I do wish they offered something new/different with the main courses. They offer miso soup or a salad. The miso soup is good but not AMAZING. The dressing on the salad is kind of weird. I wish that I could sub out the dressing for a different kind, or have a different soup instead. Or that they would simply switch up the soup and salad every 6 months/year or something. I also think the rice tastes kind of weird.
The staff don't speak super good English and tend to take your order then run away. I wish they would be a little more attentive and communicate slightly better. I definitely wouldn't call it bad service by any means, I just wish I felt that I could ask more questions to my waitress when Im there.

My boyfriend and I just visited Veggie Fun for the first time. I had the sesame tofu and he had the general tso's. I got the miso soup, he got the salad. Both sides were nothing special, but a nice addition. Both main dishes came out quickly and we're pretty good. Overall the sauce on my tofu was good but overly sweet and lacked depth in the flavor.

Our server never checked up on us to ask how or food was or if we needed anything and she left us waiting for nearly 20 minutes after we had finished before my boyfriend got up to ask for the check (and a water refill). Meanwhile we could see her talking to her coworkers in the back! I will likely return but will only opt for takeout. I wouldn't order either of the dishes we ordered again because they were way too sweet for my palate.

We were so excited to try a completely vegan rest. We don’t eat refined sugars where some vegans do. They couldn’t answer any of our questions if the items had refined sugar or not and wouldn’t let us look at the ingredient lists on products. Just really disappointed.

The dining area inside felt a little upscale but the food was average. The main courses were all served with brown rice and couldn't be subbed for white (to my knowledge).

The AC was way too cold, but my main concern were the fans on top of the seating area. We were seated right below one, and it kept blowing into my face, making my eyes dry, causing me to blink all the time. It was fairly uncomfortable.

This felt like more of a nice place for a date than most vegan restaurants. It even had a full bar and fun cocktails. (I don't recommend the drink with ice cream on top, though--it didn't cone together right and the ice cream just turned into blobs in the drink. Maybe it should be blended.)

I highly recommend going to this restaurant. I was overjoyed to finally be in a restaurant where I could order anything on the menu! We got appetizers and meals. All of it was delicious and filling. The only negative is that there is no parking. I tried to go after work to pick up food on the way home and couldn't find parking. We went back on a Sunday and there was plenty of free street parking. I will go back.
