Vegan Owned Business

Tried the jackfruit tacos and a strawberry shake at the Vegan Street Food Night Market at Chandler Park in Noho and both were exploding with flavor. The shake was icy, cold, sweet, and refreshening. When I asked the cashier if she was vegan she gave some ridiculous excuse as to why not, (something about not being smart enough to figure out how to choose vegan food) but the owner is vegan so here's hoping this place blows up.

Pros: vegan owned, super cold shakes, hot tacos

Tacos 🤤That reason for not being vegan sounds like fear of the unknown. I’m glad she’s working there then because maybe she’ll make vegan friends and coworkers while in a job that literally teaches you to make vegan food. She’ll be eating this delicious food on her lunch break and realise just how easy it could be.

"It's so hard," is a dumb excuse for those lacking motivation only or they would try and learn how easy it is. She has no interest in veganism. Here's hoping she finds a job more aligned with her personal beliefs (like kicking baby animals or children) for the sake of the owner who can then fill the slot with a happy vegan, someone who would be appreciative of the mission and more suitable for selling vegan food than this grumpy lump.

It is amazing how people end up in these positions. For me, I stopped working restaurants because vegan restaurants were not prominent at the time and I no longer want to contribute to making animal bodies taste good for consumers. I’m so amazed at the variety of vegan restaurants that exist today and think that vegan chefs must feel so empowered and a space of acceptance and belonging today that wasn’t around much when I was in the industry.

Certainly. I don't think I could call myself a vegan if I took money to serve dead baby's bodies to people for money. Similarly, I don't know how anyone can work in a vegan restaurant and not figure out how easy it is to be vegan after twenty minutes. "Open mouth, eat food." Lol.

Wholesome and delicious

The service is great, super fun staff, the food is always soooo good! I’ve tried this truck a few times now since they park near my place on Saturdays. My favorite so far is the blitz tacos and the nachos. Delicious. But my husbands favorite is getting their hoagies and fries. The fries are battered for extra crunch. Yum. Oh and the best part is most the menu is gf so my yummy doesn’t get bloaty after eating. I also tried their strawberry shake which was perfect for a sweet and sunny day.
