Delicious and Friendly! - Edit
I convinced some omni friends to have a meal with me here and they haven't stopped talking about how much they liked the food since! There was construction going on down the street so it initially was a little harder to find on foot, but was definitely well worth the effort of tracking down.
Read moreTo start, we were served mint and strawberry infused water which was very tasty. They have a number of vegan beverages to choose from, including juices and an organic root beer! My friend had the portabello burger which was seasoned extremely well and came on a soft bun. He has been asking when we can go back and try more things there since. I had the tempeh reuben sandwich which was equally delicious with a vegan russian dressing and sauerkraut to finish it. It was served with sweet potato wedges and a cashew cream sauce to dip them in. My boyfriend had a side of shoestring fries and enjoyed those as well, but he definitely loved the portabello burger as well.
Our waiter was also extremely friendly and the experience as a whole was very good. We will definitely be coming back and adding Veganized into our "eating out rotation". (:
Pros: delicious food, reasonable price, friendly staff
Cons: limited seating, hard to find

Amazing food, decor, vibe - Edit
I went to Veganized with friends who wanted to share some apps, so we got the Morockin Grill and Cauliflower Nuggets.
Read moreAs the only vegan in our group I wouldn't normally have gone for for the nuggets because they're a common option at omni restaurants with half-hearted vegan menus, so I eat them all the time. I'm glad I wound up trying these ones, because now I know what an excellent variation tastes like. They were light, heartily spiced, without a hint of greasiness.
The Morockin Grill, meanwhile, was absolutely sublime. A day later I can't stop thinking about it, and from now on whenever I'm in New Brunswick I'll always get at least one order to bring home.
For my entree I got the Philly Flatbread, which I would also highly recommend.
Pros: Excellent food, Fantastic, carefully curated vibe, Creative menu
Cons: Service was a bit slow, but it was Valentine's Day

Delicious - Edit
Have eaten here a couple times and got takeout recently. Everything is always delicious.. the mac and cheese and the tempeh and sweet potato mash with gravy were so comforting. The tacos were really good too. Only thing we didn't love was the lemon cheesecake only because the lemon flavor was very subtle

Great food and outdoor seating - Edit
I had a delicious tofu stir fry at veganized with some of the best tofu I’ve ever eaten. It was packed full of veggies, which I appreciated. They have lots of gluten free options that are clearly labeled including some great dessert options. We ate outside upstairs, and it was nice and peaceful.

Vegan pub! - Edit
This was way more of a pub than a cafe. It was super cool to see a vegan pub! However, we both felt the food could use a little more seasoning. It was a bit more on the bland side. It tasted good but just could have used more.

A fun vegan date night spot! - Edit
Super funky place serving up veganized, organic favorites. We tried the Moroccan mushroom appetizer and that was unreal. The Mackin' Cheeze is delightful but the smoked shiitakes that comes with it is what really stood out. These folks are just masters of the mushroom. I would definitely come back.
Read moreIt is definitely a little expensive. Considering that it's a nicer place with organic food I think the prices are fair for the area. It's definitely not in the range for casual meal in my book, but if you're looking for a cute date spot, you can't go wrong.
Pros: 100% delicious vegan food options, Amazing desserts, Creative cocktails and fresh juices
Cons: A wee bit expensive, Parking is tough , Can feel a little cramped at tables sometimes

Good but pricey - Edit
We tried the mackin cheese, neatball hero, fries, and chocolate peanut butter torte. Everything tasted good, and I especially liked the neatball hero. The chocolate peanut butter torte was rich and a good end to the meal. However, it is fairly pricey for what you get.

We found this place on our last night we were here and I’m glad we didn’t miss it - the best food I’ve had in a long time! Everything had well-balanced flavors and lovely presentation. It was so hard to decide what to order because everything sounded so good. Many of the menu offerings are gluten free as well. Wish we had discovered it earlier in our journey so we could have tried more of the menu

Amazing vegan restaurant - Edit
So first off, almost everything at Veganized is made in house. The wait staff is really helpful and the upstairs dining area is beautiful, with stained glass chandeliers and tall ceilings (check out the bathrooms too). The Mackin Cheez flat bread was delicious: smoky and the broccoli on it was perfectly garlicky. The Gyro dish had really well seasoned mushrooms. The chocolate peanut butter torte was a treat for people used to subpar vegan desserts. We also got the Neatball Hero, which was good, although the actual neatball was just ok. Veganized is definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Tried the mackin cheese here, it was definitely tasty and a large portion. The service was highly attentive, and they have wifi so I was able to do a little work as well. Would stop by again if I'm back in the area

Outstanding - Edit
We went here twice on our visit to the area and were very impressed. Scratch cooking with organic ingredients is great, but it still has to taste good, and the food here delivers. You can tell that there is a lot of care and effort put in to what they make. I just wish I lived near enough to visit frequently.

Excellent and Unique - Edit
We've been here 3-4 times, and everything we've tried had has been excellent, and they're also located in a very cool building and eclectic space. Also, friendly good service.
Read moreNote that even the comfort foods tend towards the healthier side (including their breads, housemade patties, etc.), which I personally prefer, and everything we tried has been very thoughtfully made with good quality ingredients.
The "simplicity" curry, mac 'n cheese, caesar salad, sweet potato wedges with cheese sauce, and crusted curry (as a wrap) have been our favorites so far.
I also believe that (at the time of writing this review) this is the only vegan restaurants in NB, which is a little surprising for a college town, but good to support them.
Pros: Great food, Interesting space and good service, Full bar
Cons: A little pricy (though expected given the quality)

Great Restaurant. - Edit
I went here with my 10 yr old son, and we were both impressed with the quality and flavor of the all the food we had.
Read more"Off the Grill", a mushroom appetizer, stood out with it's incredible flavor.
My only (micro) issue was the side for the Tempeh Kebabs. I believe it was rice with beans, that had saffron paired with sage, and for my taste, they compete with each other too much.
Overall, it is a must to visit.

Wow! Wonderful! - Edit
So many choices. Everything was delicious. The Off the Grill Mushrooms are so delicious. They have brunch on Sunday. The Rueben and fries are great. The Sunday special tacos were ok. I’m not a fan of corn tortillas, but my Husband is, so I just tried a bite. The insides were good and it came with a nice rice side. Great dessert menu but we were stuffed and not going home.

l will be going back. - Edit
We went last night and the whole menu looked delicious. I read some of the reviews here to help figure out what to get.
Read moreWe started off with the three times fried French fries. They were good, but to be honest, no better than most fries. For the price I was disappointed with the amount of fries. The ketchup was good.
We also ordered the Raw-violi. That was delicious. It was two beet medallions sandwiching a cashew ricotta and topped with a basil pesto. The plating was beautiful.
For the entree, we ordered the Mac-and-cheese. It was one of the best Mac dishes I have had. It was warm and creamy and the bowl size was the large. It was its own meal. It was topped with smoked shiitake and broccoli. The smokiness of the mushrooms was a nice touch to the dish.
The bbq seitan skewers was the second dish. It was also very good. It was also beautifully plated. It came with rice over a mash of 'something- I don't remember the specific ingredient. While I liked the dish- I think the rice and the mash needed just something else added to the flavor. The seitan was good. I would have preferred three skewers to the two skewers. The seitan pieces were alternated with cherry tomatoes, onions, and peppers.
We also ordered their Margarita pizza. It was delicious. It was topped with a cashew ricotta and basil pesto. Perfect pizza, perfect size for a personal pan pizza. Since it was our third entree, we even has a leftover slice.
We had the chocolate peanut butter torte and it was perfect. It was not overly sweet and the vanilla sauce and raspberry coulis added the perfect sweetness to the dish. We also shared the lemon cheesecake with the blueberry lavender compote along with strawberry coulis. Again, perfect combination of the not too sweet cheesecake allowing the compote and coulis to add to the sweetness.
Street parking is a little hard to find. We had to park around the corner from the restaurant. However there is a parking garage at the end of the street. I do not know what the prices are there and I don't know how quickly it fills up.
The waitstaff do a tag-team type service. We had multiple servers doing all of the usual serving jobs. They were all very nice and professional.
There is a bar on the first floor with some sit-down seating, but most of the seating is done upstairs.
While I think the food was a little pricy, it falls in line with the presentation of the food and other places I have been with an 'upscale' men
Pros: Great food, Great waitstaff, Good drinks
Cons: parking, The food is a little pricy

Tasty and Healthy (plus fries) - Edit
We were passing through NJ and fired up the Happy Cow app which lead us to this restaurant. What a treat! Food was fresh and super delicious. Soup of the day was absolutely amazing (we used it as a sauce for our brown rice). The flatbread with creamy cheese, sautéed onions and mushrooms was one of the most tasty things I’ve ever eaten. Oh yeah, fries were so crispy and seasoned so well (I think the ketchup was home made). Highly recommend!

A MUST TRY - Edit
Veganized has moved locations (a few hundred feet down the street) and added to their wonderful menu. I think this deserves an update. My original comments still stand. The restaurant is very unique. The new upstairs dining area is reminiscent of a historic hotel. There's also the option to eat outside on the balcony. Strange, obscure art still adorns the walls. The staff continues to be polite, friendly, and provides quick service. The presentation is still on-point. All of the food I've tried thus far has been nothing short of amazing. I continue to recommend the Mac and Cheese, the falafel wrap, the Caesar salad, and the triple cooked fries. A new addition to their menu and something that will likely become my usual order is their delicious Margherita pizza. The pizza has a perfect, woody char on the base and crust that impart a subtle smoky flavor. The sauce is beyond incredible. The cheese, which is created from cashews, is fluffy, creamy, and delicious. The pesto also provides additional flavors to the pie. This is perhaps the best vegan pizza I've ever experienced.
Read moreAfter you've enjoyed your main course, you simply must order one of their desserts. My favorite is the chocolate peanut butter torte, but they're all great picks. Whether you're following a plant-based/vegan diet or you're just looking for some excellent food: Veganized is a must-try.
Pros: Huge selection, Excellent drinks, Delicious food
