Stunningly Delicious - Edit
Everything I had was delicious and beautifully made. The vegan shrimp and the different types of vegan chicken stood out as wonderfully textured. The seafood Banh Mi was everything a sandwich should be. The breading on the appetizers was crispy and flavorful. The spring rolls were fresh and had a nice crunch. Everything was delicious.

Very good…only place in Provo - Edit
Very good… loved the food. The ramen stir fry was good albeit just slightly too salty and the fresh rolls were yummy. Worth it because it is the only vegan restaurant in Provo.

Awesome vegan place - Edit
This was the first vegan place I ever tried years ago and I was amazed (spicy lemongrass tasted just like orange chicken). The fresh spring rolls were just okay though.

So yummy! - Edit
Absolutely love that the entire menu is vegan! Food was incredibly delicious, with so many options to choose from and lots of fake/veggie meat to supplement the bowls. Getting to order "comfort food" at a restaurant is always a joy as a vegan (chicken nuggets, hot wings, etc.) which they have as appetizers.

The best! - Edit
This place is excellent. I'm not from the area but took the opportunity to go a couple times on a recent trip to Utah. Everything I tried was great. And I sampled a lot: ramen bowls, rice bowls, banh mi, spring rolls, crispy rolls, drumsticks. My teenage daughter really loved it too.

Super tasty vegan food! - Edit
Excellent vegan Vietnamese food in downtown Provo. My daughter was thrilled to actually get to order off a kid’s menu. She loved the golden nuggets and ginger tofu rice. The potstickers were my favorite. We’ll be back.

Amazing Vegan Option in Provo - Edit
Provo can be a harder place for vegan options, but since Vegan Sun opened it got a whole lot better! Vegan Sun is an all vegan Vietnamese restaurant in Provo, Utah. When we went, Covid was still going on so we opted take out. However, the restaurant also has indoor and patio dining. Whatever dining option you choose, you order at the counter (it is not a full service restaurant).
Read moreWe tried as much as we could at Vegan Sun and everything was amazing. Some of the dishes we tried were eggrolls, seafood bahn mi (similar to a po boy sandwich), vegan drumsticks, and udon stirfry. We also had Thai tea. Everything was seasoned well with great sauces and condiments. Our take out orders had everything we needed to eat in a nearby park including napkins, silverware, and extra soy sauce.
Vegan Sun's menu also offers cold noodle salads as well as a variety of hot dishes involving rice, veggies and various vegan meats. They also sell Be Leaf jerky products. You really can't go wrong though because everything on the menu is 100% vegan!
Pros: Everything is 100% vegan, Local, minority owned business, Every dish is packed with flavor

Wish they would extend their hours. - Edit
I guess this will more than just about their food. We got there at 7:20pm and they close at 8pm. Before putting our order in, the cashier said that by the time the food will be ready that we would have 10 mins to eat. I said we are hungry we will respect your clock. (WTH). I tried to order one of their specials but was told that it would take too long to make so I can't order that. Anyways, we ordered multiple pho soups, fresh rolls, sandwiches and couple of their fried rice, oh and french fries. Yes, I tipped them. I didn't take pics of all the food because I felt rushed to eat and get out. The food was very good. I rated this 4 star because I believe if someone walks in like we did, we should be able to eat and stay even if we go over the time by a little. There were others eating and was enjoying themselves so I'm not sure if we were the only ones who got the memo. I walked in alone, great there's indoor seating, while my party found parking outside which parking spaces were not abundant. So me, one person before even ordering, was told that I would have 10 mins to eat because they close at 8pm. I felt that that cashier was rude but still tipped her 30 bloody percent because maybe she's having a poop day. I would go back because there isn't much around but if there were another and taste just as good, I would not come back. I've never written a review like this before but here it is. The sandwich tasted very americanized and loaded with mayo, I was forgetting this was Asian food!

Yes. - Edit
This place is incredible, we live just behind it and have visited enough to have tried just about all their menu, and even keep a spare menu in our apartment. You could literally close your eyes and point to anything on your menu and it will open you to a whole new world of flavor. Their "chicken" nuggets taste juts like MacDonalds, and their buffalo seitan wings are out of this world. Just go here, do it. 👌
