Amazing Vegan Option in Provo - Edit
Provo can be a harder place for vegan options, but since Vegan Sun opened it got a whole lot better! Vegan Sun is an all vegan Vietnamese restaurant in Provo, Utah. When we went, Covid was still going on so we opted take out. However, the restaurant also has indoor and patio dining. Whatever dining option you choose, you order at the counter (it is not a full service restaurant).
Read moreWe tried as much as we could at Vegan Sun and everything was amazing. Some of the dishes we tried were eggrolls, seafood bahn mi (similar to a po boy sandwich), vegan drumsticks, and udon stirfry. We also had Thai tea. Everything was seasoned well with great sauces and condiments. Our take out orders had everything we needed to eat in a nearby park including napkins, silverware, and extra soy sauce.
Vegan Sun's menu also offers cold noodle salads as well as a variety of hot dishes involving rice, veggies and various vegan meats. They also sell Be Leaf jerky products. You really can't go wrong though because everything on the menu is 100% vegan!
Pros: Everything is 100% vegan, Local, minority owned business, Every dish is packed with flavor

Wish they would extend their hours. - Edit
I guess this will more than just about their food. We got there at 7:20pm and they close at 8pm. Before putting our order in, the cashier said that by the time the food will be ready that we would have 10 mins to eat. I said we are hungry we will respect your clock. (WTH). I tried to order one of their specials but was told that it would take too long to make so I can't order that. Anyways, we ordered multiple pho soups, fresh rolls, sandwiches and couple of their fried rice, oh and french fries. Yes, I tipped them. I didn't take pics of all the food because I felt rushed to eat and get out. The food was very good. I rated this 4 star because I believe if someone walks in like we did, we should be able to eat and stay even if we go over the time by a little. There were others eating and was enjoying themselves so I'm not sure if we were the only ones who got the memo. I walked in alone, great there's indoor seating, while my party found parking outside which parking spaces were not abundant. So me, one person before even ordering, was told that I would have 10 mins to eat because they close at 8pm. I felt that that cashier was rude but still tipped her 30 bloody percent because maybe she's having a poop day. I would go back because there isn't much around but if there were another and taste just as good, I would not come back. I've never written a review like this before but here it is. The sandwich tasted very americanized and loaded with mayo, I was forgetting this was Asian food!

Yes. - Edit
This place is incredible, we live just behind it and have visited enough to have tried just about all their menu, and even keep a spare menu in our apartment. You could literally close your eyes and point to anything on your menu and it will open you to a whole new world of flavor. Their "chicken" nuggets taste juts like MacDonalds, and their buffalo seitan wings are out of this world. Just go here, do it. 👌

I've only tried the pho, but it was really good. Very flavorful broth, and lots of broccoli, carrots and cauliflower. Looking forward to trying other things from the menu.

Great plant-based addition to Utah County! - Edit
I really enjoyed my meal here. They had lots of variety and everything tasted good. I look for food that is both plant-based and also no oil, and I had several things to choose from, all good. I just wish they had more whole grain options.

Great food, great pricing. - Edit
Great mellow environment, nice staff, pricing is affordable and awesome portions. They have some really creative food, the drumsticks are one of the coolest foods I've tried, very yummy. The imitation items (fake shrimp, beef, ect) were so well done and familiar, took me right back to when my family went to pho restaurants as a kid.

Only all-vegan place around - Edit
For an area that has very few vegan places, one has to smile at a place that is not only all-vegan, but has the word "vegan" in its title. You order at the counter, and then thy bring the Vietnamese/.vegan food to you in a diner-like setting, as you grab plastic cutlery to eat with.. The food is okay-tasting, and no that healthy--as is evinced by the white rice and the prominent Coke fridge in the front. I give it 4 stars because of the area; if this place had competition nearby, it might not fare so well.

Cons: Not particularly health oriented, Okay tasting
