Íbamos con la idea de que iba a ser un sitio de “junk food” pero nada más llegar, nos impresionó la estética del local con muchos grafittis y decoración muy guay. La comida también nos encantó. Pedimos un plato con varios entrantes (croquetas, gambas rebozadas, aritos de cebolla, nuggets y calamares) y sin duda, las croquetas de ragut son lo mejor. También nos sorprendieron mucho los calamares, sobre todo a una no-vegana que los probaba por primera vez. Luego nos pedimos una hamburguesa cada uno, la Mc Kroquet (no es hamburguesa como tal, es como una mezcla de croquetas empanada) y la Notorius (muy rica). Los panes negros y rosas son un toque extra. Sin duda volveremos.

Ich kenne die VJFB bereits aus Holland und war verwundert, als ich sie in Barcelona betreten wollte. Am Eingang muss man warten, bis einem ein Tisch zugewiesen wird..aufgrund der Wartezeit dachten wir, es wäre ziemlich voll, es waren aber zahlreiche Tische frei. Welchen Grund es für die Wartezeit gab weiß ich nicht..der Laden ist auf jeden Fall deutlich „schicker“ als ich es aus Holland gewohnt war.
Read moreDas Essen schmeckt natürlich, wie bei einer Kette üblich relativ gleich und auch recht lecker. Leider gab es an dem Tag abends weder Shawarma, noch die Ceasar Salads.
Fazit: Kann man machen, muss man aber nicht. Für den Preis gibt es einiges in Barcelona, was besser ist..sowohl was den Geschmack, als auch das Ambiente betrifft.
Lohnenswert aber auf jeden Fall für alle, die noch nie in einer VJFB waren.

Visited VJFB earlier this year with two friends.

All our orders were good, above average, I would rate it 4/5.
The vegan salmon was advertised as spicey, but it wasn't really.
Colourful buns and sauces are not essential, but they add to a unique experience. However, none of us made pictures of the food.
Staff friendly.
Now to the backside: pretty expensive, even for Barcelona.
Then two no-gos: there was no menu on site! We had to look it up online. I know, that is becoming a trend, but I find it absolutely ridiculous not to have a written menu in the restaurant. Even Mcdonald's has one!
And finally, no cash accepted, only card payment. That's the limit. Even if they had the best food in the world, if I can't pay en efectivo.

Regarding our payment. Vegan Junk Food Bar is a cashless restaurant which means we promote the use of cards or such means to pay. Not only for the safety of our staff (because of the risk of robberies etc) but also for environmental reasons; cash has a much bigger environmental impact to handle (printing / transport / handling). If someone insists on paying in cash, that is always possible but we have very little to no change in house.

This is by far the best place ive ever went, such lovely cool staff and AMAZING food with great presentation and tasty as anything. Loved the branding and merch. The wallpaper and look of the place was amazing. Went here on holiday with my family and everyone loved it regardless of if they were vegan or not

I wasn't impressed. The burger was nice but I've eaten better ones in Barcelona these days. The loaded potatoes where too salty for my taste. On the other hand I really enjoyed the place - was really cool and a nice urban vibe. The stuff was very kind and respectful. Maybe next I should try something else.

These guys make great tasting burgers and desserts! The restaurant has a nice funky setup with a good sized menu. If you're a big eater it might stretch the wallet a little. However, I think the price is worth it for what you get.

Teníamos muchísimas ganas de conocer este sitio, y pese a que las expectativas eran altas, el resultado fue aún mejor de lo esperado. Es abrumador la cantidad de oferta que tienen, muchísimas delicias que no vas a poder probar porque hay que seleccionar. Desde luego, si viviera en Barcelona es el típico sitio al que iría muchas veces hasta probar bien todos los platos y elegir los favoritos. Y lo mismo con los postres. Por cierto, la atención de 10 y la decoración espectacular. Fijo que de noche es aún más interesante, con más ambiente. Volveremos seguro, y espero que muchas veces

My first time eating VJFB food was in Amsterdam in January 2018, since then I've became a fan and I've returned many times when I'm in the Netherlands. Then, when I was going to Barcelona for a short holiday, I realized they also had one, so I had to go there and check if it was any different (it is not).

From the very Dutch Kapsalon to amazing Burgers and decent (not amazing) salads, but maybe the joke's on me because I shouldn't be eating salads at a fast food place😄The Barcelona location is a big and nice Venue and the food quality is the same as the NL ones.
