My new fave place!

It was great to see Vegie Mum's old location being replaced with an all-vegan restaurant. It has been completely remodelled and looks beautiful and open. Plenty of tables, booths and a cosy couch area.

I went here twice, once on Friday night with my partner and again Saturday with some friends. Here's what we ordered over both nights:

ENTREES
- Cripsy salt and pepper prawns - my fave!
- Cripsy salt and pepper fish - nice but not as good as the prawns
- Cripsy salt and pepper tofu - very nice, but my partner would have preferred the tofu in squares to give it a chance to crispy up more
- Chips - they were out of wedges so offered chips instead which were good.

MAINS
- Tom Yum Fried Rice - so delicious! Great sauce and I love the prawns
- Singapore noodles - very nice
- Seaweed Rice - excellent! Definitely lives up to its 'must try' status
- Stir Fried Soy Chicken Nugget with satay sauce - also excellent
- Pad Thai noodles - a lit underwhelming, would be good if it had peanuts on top and prawns which is typical of pad thai
- Tom Yum Flounder Sweet and Sour Fish - the most expensive item on the menu but I had to try as I adore vegan fish. It did not disappoint, absolutely beautiful. Really great sauce, some places overdo it with sweet and sour but this was perfect. It was also a generous serving so I had leftovers.

Very nice staff, definitely looking forward to coming back :)

Note: Some items used Impossible Foods which some vegans don't eat due to the animal testing, but this is noted on the menu.

Pros: Great decor, Excellent food

Cons: Would rather no Impossible meat

Hello - look I agree with you. But lately a lot of vegans have told me they don't. Many consider it vegan. Personally I won't eat it but also trying to acknowledge the other viewpoint.

Decent flavours with opportunities to improve

Their spring rolls were tasty, as was the spicy noodles. I wished there was a bit more vegetables/tofu/ingredients to the fried rice than what we got.

Pros: Spring rolls were delish, Comfortable & spacious , Friendly staff

Cons: Portion sizes small for price, Wished for more vegetables

Meh!

This is the same location as the Old Veggie Mum. Started with cheese sticks. They were okay a little tough and oily. Pretty sure not house made but the kind you’d find frozen in the mock Asian mead sections at Asian supermarkets. Also had stir fried noodles with “special sauce”. The sauce was not special - your typical cornflour soy sauce thickened one. I got one piece of mock chicken and one piece of tofu. Was swimming in the sauce and there was a big puddle of sauce on the bottom of the bowl. Left hungry.

Pros: Big menu, Big space

Cons: Expensive , No love , Frozen mock meats/processed
