Phenomenal fresh, doesn’t travel well - Edit
Had an awesome dining experience on a Monday night at vegan heaven. We’ve purchased from them before for delivery and received meals which were not at all like the description of what we ordered that have been absolutely shocking quality. However this review is based off our dine in experience which was frikken EXCELLENT! Food came quickly and was incredible. We got a sizzling beef plate and the tomato cashew fried rice. Both were a 10/10 flavour explosion. We will very likely be back to dine in, but probably won’t order online again.

Pros: Cashew tomato fried rice , Sizzle plate , Free tea for the table!
Cons: Delivery quality drops significantly

Nice Asian vegan food - Edit
The Lions Mane satay skewers were great. We also had the Chilli Tofu (gf) and Sweet and Sour Mushroom & Tofu. Chef forgot to put the tofu in (this was rectified) and the meal was nice.

Tasty food, but disappointed about the pricing - Edit
The food itself was great—fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented.
Read moreHowever, the prices charged were about 20% higher than those listed on the menu. I visited on a public holiday, but there was no signage or notice anywhere about a surcharge. That lack of transparency really soured the experience.
As much as I want to support vegan businesses, this left a bad taste. There are plenty of other places doing great vegan food and being upfront with their customers.
Pros: Delicious food
Cons: Lack of transparency on prices

Last time I was there, the mention of the surcharge on the menu. Have they removed it?

I mean sure, but what restaurant doesn't do that nowadays, and to go from 5 star to 2 over a surcharge... Wow

Amazing pho - Edit
I got the mushroom and tofu pho and it was awesome. The broth was so full of flavour and it was loaded with a variety of tasty mushrooms, and heaps of different vegetables too, and the tofu was perfect. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly - not soggy or falling apart. Large serving size, I couldn't finish it. The woman serving us was friendly and everything came out relatively fast.

Very good food, HUGE choice for vegans - Edit
Tasty food. Some dishes are mock meat heavy some are veg tofu focused so pay attention to that when ordering.
Read moreSteamed dumplings came in a slightly spicy soy sauce broth. Lion's mane satay skewers also recommended.
Lemongrass bun bo hue with tofu and veg was good, not that spicy.
Portions huge!

A friendly, stylish environment with the most amazing food. I’m so glad we happened to be in the area, Vegan Heaven is a bit out of our way but so good we’re already planning return visits.

I really enjoyed my dinner here, had wanton for starters and then mojo tofu. Both were excellent, the mojo tofu had many tasty ingredients and was a good portion. Friendly and helpful staff and good service, but a bit pricey.

Excellent food - Edit
The place is easy to get to via tram 11. I had the Beyond Pho and the VN Iced Coffee and both were great. The coffee in particular was sweet and had strong coffee flavour. The staff were also very kind. There is a lot of seating inside. Credit card is accepted but there is a surcharge, so it's better to bring cash.

Amazing food - Edit
I have been here twice now and it's already been cemented as one of my favourite vegan restaurants. I recently had the gravy claypot tofu w/rice (picture below) and my partner had the mixed pho. We both haven't stopped talking about it since. The broth was so flavourful and the portion size was very generous. The waiter was very friendly and it was very reasonably priced.

Truly a vegan heaven - Edit
Lots of different options. Have always liked Huong Viet despite how oily and greasy the food is, this place which is run by the same team is no different. I always get the bbq fried rice in claypot. Other dishes we got were salt and pepper mushroom, lemongrass noodle soup and sweet n sour pork, they were all pretty good. However despite going in towards the end of a Sunday with only 1 other group in the restaurant, we had to wait over an hr for our 4 dishes. Happy to cut them some slack as they are in a new location. Will definitely be back.

Came with a big vegan group. They have changed the menu (no impossible burger on the menu). I really enjoyed the strawberry smoothie. Lovely consistency and flavour. The soup was delicious. It was huge and I really liked the broth.
Read moreWe came here for dinner on the first day of their opening. They have quite a lot of tables as it is a large dining area.
My partner wanted to try the wedges for an entree. They were served with a tasty sauce.
I ordered the tofu and “chick’n” Malaysian satay. The dish was huge and there were a generous number of tofu and “chick’n” pieces. There were also some mushrooms and broccoli and red pepper. I wished the satay was a little more “peanutty” but I enjoyed the dish. My partner had the meatballs with spaghetti which he enjoyed.
I also had a Vietnamese iced coffee which was lovely. The coffee was strong.
Service was good and opening week was 20% off.
There were noodles and stir fries and pho on the menu.

Good new spot in Melbourne - Edit
We ate here for our first time and we liked the friendly and helpful service and had a good experience. They’ve done a great job in making the restaurant space more light filled and welcoming.
Read moreThe menu is quite varied at the moment as they narrow down peoples’ favourites. We ordered the Singapore fried noodles and Royal Spicy soup. Both were excellent portion sizes with lots of flavour and a great variety of vegetables. The Singapore Noodles was on par with other vegan restaurants in Melbourne and I would order again. Pricing is reasonable too IMHO.
Pros: Portion sizes, Light filled space , Friendly service

I tried a couple of things - the seaweed rice was super tasty, but the pad Thai was very lack luster. Still, overall the service was good and the food was really tasty and not too expensive

My new fave place! - Edit
It was great to see Vegie Mum's old location being replaced with an all-vegan restaurant. It has been completely remodelled and looks beautiful and open. Plenty of tables, booths and a cosy couch area.
Read moreI went here twice, once on Friday night with my partner and again Saturday with some friends. Here's what we ordered over both nights:
ENTREES
- Cripsy salt and pepper prawns - my fave!
- Cripsy salt and pepper fish - nice but not as good as the prawns
- Cripsy salt and pepper tofu - very nice, but my partner would have preferred the tofu in squares to give it a chance to crispy up more
- Chips - they were out of wedges so offered chips instead which were good.
MAINS
- Tom Yum Fried Rice - so delicious! Great sauce and I love the prawns
- Singapore noodles - very nice
- Seaweed Rice - excellent! Definitely lives up to its 'must try' status
- Stir Fried Soy Chicken Nugget with satay sauce - also excellent
- Pad Thai noodles - a lit underwhelming, would be good if it had peanuts on top and prawns which is typical of pad thai
- Tom Yum Flounder Sweet and Sour Fish - the most expensive item on the menu but I had to try as I adore vegan fish. It did not disappoint, absolutely beautiful. Really great sauce, some places overdo it with sweet and sour but this was perfect. It was also a generous serving so I had leftovers.
Very nice staff, definitely looking forward to coming back :)
Note: Some items used Impossible Foods which some vegans don't eat due to the animal testing, but this is noted on the menu.

Hello - look I agree with you. But lately a lot of vegans have told me they don't. Many consider it vegan. Personally I won't eat it but also trying to acknowledge the other viewpoint.
