Get here early in the day - Edit

Our first visit on 04/03/17. I ordered the "What's Your Beef" burger which was fantastic and my girlfriend went for the "Fillet Om Phish" which she was a bit disappointed in. We both had the sweet potato fries which were some of the best I've had. Slightly disappointed that they'd sold out of the Chick P bites as these look great. The moral of the story is get here early I guess?! Good selection of vegan booze and a chilled out, friendly atmosphere in a cool part of town. Will definitely be back, hopefully the Chick P bites will be too!

Pros: Great food, Good portion sizes, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Sold out of Chick P bites, Slightly limited menu

Massive burgers!! - Edit

Really tasty food!
We shared a 'what's your beef?' quinoa and black bean burger, and a fillet-om-fish battered aubergine burger, with cheesy sweet potato fries
The burgers were really big and pretty messy to eat - I wouldn't go there if I was with someone I wanted t to impress!! They were both delicious though, and came with a good mix of toppings and sauces
The sweet potato fries were really good too, although next time I wouldn't bother with the cheese (it wasn't that great and wasn't melted)

I didn't have dessert, but people next to me had ordered brownies, which looked huge and really good!

We were there on Saturday lunchtime, and it was really crowded. It is only a small venue with long bench tables that they squeeze people onto. Getting there early is probably a good bet!

Looking forward to going back again soon!!

Pros: Delicious burgers, Good choice of options

great junk vegan - Edit

I ordered this as takeaway one lonely Friday evening and it really hit the spot. Normally don't like vegan cheese but their cheesy chips were great and the burger was very tasty. Will return here when I next need a junk hit!

I found jackfruit! - Edit

I've been wanting to try this place and it didn't let me down! Pulled jackfruit burger was exactly what I'd been looking for, Try it with caramelized onions! The chickpea bites were delightful too and tasted like mini, moist falafel bites.

Service was great. I'll definitely be back here.

OH and the market just a couple doors down actually sells jackfruit in cans, something else I haven't been able to find. Bonus!

Can't praise this place enough (not really a reviews person either) - Edit

I've been to Mooshies three times in the past few months: never disappointed by their inventive menu offerings (so much that it's honestly kind of hard to try everything, you really want to keep coming back and picking the same things). Notably their take on a fish fillet burger features a patty made out of aubergine: I was a little skeptical of that, but it honestly all works absolutely perfectly (it's super juicy), especially with the tartar sauce. The pulled pork burger is my second pick so far and also really wonderful, if a little messy (although honestly a lot of good food is, right?). The only thing I have close to a complaint would maybe be that I don't feel the type of cheese used on the cheesy fries works very well, though this could be personal preference, and on the other hand of this I do find the general selection of other toppings/sauces this place offers manages to be pretty plentiful. Customer service is super wonderful, the staff are really nice and usually take the time to ask how your meal is/was, so even if the place can be a little pricey (as are most vegan places in London) I'll always be willing to try and sell it to people :)

different and delightful if a bit decadent! - Edit

And I only say decadent because like almost everything new hip and vegan this place is not for those short of cash. But the burgers are made of different fillings to the usual and the "fish" one I had was excellent. Nice crispy sweet potato fries as an extra side ( but at £3.50 they aught to be!) I'll be back to try the other burgers. 😋

Pros: interesting imaginative menu., vegans on brick lane!, friendly and helpful staff

Cons: a tad pricey, not big selection to choose from

Pros: Food, Vibes, Value

Cons: You have to stare at halal shops on all sides

Went for the first time the other night, my brother and I had the 'Pulled Mooshie' and my mum had the 'What's Your Beef' black bean burger - everything was delicious and the chickpea bites were amazing! Will go back again and again. Also the staff as SO friendly :)

Disappointing - Edit

I was soooooo excited about this joint, having eaten amazing vegan burgers in other places in London, like Mildred's& Black Cat in Hackney. I went on a special mission to go to Mooshies, and was mega disappointed! I had the quinoa and black bean burger. It *looked* great, but unfortunately the burger was not flavoured or seasoned, meaning it was a large wodgy and flavourless lump- and the best bit of the whole burger was the gherkins. Without these gherkins providing a salt and flavour hit, I probably wouldn't have finished the burger. Overall, the burger filled a hole in my tummy, and I may have just got them on a bad day! But I am not sure I would recommend this as a place to eat to vegan friends- and based on this experience, I don't think I will be back :(

MooshiesLondon 22 Dec 2016 - Hi BlondeVegan,

We are sorry to hear about your disappointment. We strive to make the best burgers and are always listening to good and bad feedback in order to make changes where possible. It's difficult to know why someone says a burger is tasteless and another thinks its fantastic? But we are working on improving the taste of the patty in order to make everyone happy!

We are only 7 weeks old and are running because of each person that comes through the door and when Vegans say they wish there were more options, it's maybe because some Vegans are quick to dismiss places based on one bad experience. We have 4 burgers plus sides which all deserve to be tried before making a judgement on the overall place. We ask that Vegans give us a chance before saying they would not recommend it to anyone.

We are slowly building a strong following but are always keen to understand the reasons behind such harsh criticism so we invite you back to try one of our other burgers and have a chat about your thoughts on the quinoa and black bean burger you were disappointed in.

great food and service - Edit

I had the qui so burger which was very delicious. What I really liked here was that they seemed to strike a really good balance between a relaxed atmosphere and good customer service. The two people who were working when we were there last night were super helpful without being overbearing and I thought that the lady working the tables was lovely and very quick to top up waters and clear tables. :) not too busy but enough people to give it a nice vibe
