Absolutely Delicious - Edit

My (omni) boyfriend and I visited here in December '17 and it was easily the best meal I had on the entire trip. It's a tiny, cozy place, so try to go early to beat the rush. A lot of people got turned away while we were eating because they were so full.

The menu is served as a 3-course meal. The soup that came first was absolutely ridiculous. I'm normally ambivalent about soup but my bf and I couldn't stop raving over this. Then our meals came and they were equally delightful--some of the most flavorful food I've ever eaten.

I HIGHLY recommend this spot.

Pros: Great food, Cute space

Cons: Crowded and busy

incredible food; casual atmosphere - Edit

I was in Madrid for an overnight layover and made my way here for dinner on a Saturday night. I was concerned about not having appropriate clothes given the other reviews describing this place as “fancy.” The food was certainly elevated, but the atmosphere was casual, friendly, and welcoming. The “burrata” was outstanding, as was the black rice with “squid.” I was too full for dessert, but the tiramisu at the table next to me made me wish I had time to return for more. My two dishes plus fresh-squeezed lemonade was $26 (€22).

Pros: FOOD, English menu (and English speaking servers), atmosphere

Cons: nothing! nada!

the most delicious vegan food I've ever tasted - Edit

This restaurant is incredible! Everytime I go they usually have something different to offer and it is outstanding! They know how to make things that the taste like forbidden food:-) my suggestion is to eat there for lunch and not dinner because the prices are so much more reasonable for lunch.

Pros: it is very busy and the staff are wonderful, rushi

Cons: Sometimes there is a line outside the door. I thin

You want it fancy? - Edit

The first time I ate there I was disappointed because we paid a lot but the meals were small and the chevice wasn't good.
The second time my experience was great!
The place is fancy, expensive. The food can be great but also not so great. The plates are pretty.

Too expensive and fancy but vegan :) - Edit

I went there on 2016 and we got a ceviche, It was not really good and a bit expensive honestly. I don't think I'll go back again.

Pros: Centric

Excellent food. - Edit

Delicious and excellent food. Non Spanish customers may be helped by a mention of the fact that cold soups are often served in Madrid, gazpacho I think it is called, it is meant to be cold.
The place is vegan, low to moderate priced, and excellent.

Pros: vegan, cheapish, tasty

Cons: tired decor

Yummy food - terrible service - Edit

Great vegan option in Madrid. Yummy food, varied and original dishes. The waiters are so over the place and busy all the time they take ages serving the food.

Ideal if you don't have to rush, I guess!

Pros: Yummy food, Original dishes

Cons: So slow

Great vibes and good food - Edit

Vega is a very good place to have a drink with friends while eating some good vegan food. I tried the tofu skewers with noodles, tasty but relatively small if you are very hungry. Prices are fair (not the cheapest place), the staff is friendly and the place has good vibes. You should book your table if you wanna eat because is is quite small and often crowded.

Pros: 100% vegan, great vibes, good food, friendly staff

Cons: small place and rather small portions

😍😍😍 - Edit

I loved this place! Super cozy with great food and good service. It was packed on Saturday around lunch (3pm), so you may have to wait if with a group. I sat at the bar, and Abraham took care of me - he suggested the focaccia, which was delicious!

Jättegott! - Edit

Vi tog take away då det var så fullt. Väl hemma delade vi på k*ttbullar med spagetti, chili sin carne, seitan bbq och grytan masala. Allt var gott men tonåringarna åt upp all carne så den hann jag inte smaka.

Great atmosphere and tasty food - Edit

I'm not a fan of tempeh but I tried it, to open my horizons a little. It was very well prepared, cooked, and presented. Very satisfying. The miso soup starter was also nice and the desert of an apple yoghurt/custard cake in a jar was really nice. Only €8 each. I'd call that a bargain.

Pros: Set menu with great variety. Small menu so they ex, Great atmosphere. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, Cheap

Crowded place with average food nothing special - the waiter asked 3 times what we want to order and added 2 drinks to the bill we didn't had.
Food was OK but I expected something special

Visiting all the way from Toronto, Canada - Edit

This restaurant blew my mind. The food was fantastic, service was amazing & the atmosphere was beyond words. My non vegan boyfriend enjoyed our food also. It's also a great price. We ordered appetizers, 2 mains, 2 alcoholic beverages & a dessert for 39€. If I'm ever back in Madrid again, I'll definitely be coming to eat here again and again. Thank you so much to the chefs & waiters ❤❤❤❤❤

Pros: All vegan, delicious food.

Cons: No cons at all!!

My favorite restaurant - Edit

Vega is a restaurant located in the center of Madrid that never ceases to amaze me.

The chefs are extremely creative and they always offer tasty, original, healthy vegan dishes. Having a sweet tooth I love the desserts that they make.

The lunch menu (composed of an appetizer + one or two main dishes + a dessert + bread and a drink) is not expensive at all making it even more attractive.

I go to VEGA everytime I am in Madrid and I have never been dissapointed so far. During my last trip I got to try their own version of the traditional spanish dish called "callos" and I fell in love. The taste is very similar to the one of the original dish, it was filling and very enjoyable at the same time.

Also, the staff is friendly and ready to answer any question that you have regarding the dishes.

Pros: Excellent food, Not expensive at all

Food is good, service is terrible - Edit

Food is good and the prices are reasonable. However, the service is a mess, at least at lunch time. Had to wait around 20 minutes for the waiter to take my order. Then he forgot one of the drinks and kept ignoring my table the whole time.

Pros: Food, Good atmosphere

Cons: Service

Great Vegan Cafe/Restaurant - Edit

Arrived without a reservation but we're kindly given a table for 2.

Ordered 4 dishes from the tapas menu which were all delicious, especially the raw lasagne which really fresh and flavoursome.

We finished with the chocolate mouse which was beautifully indulgent.

For drinks we chose the white wine - very nice and only €7.50!

All-in-all an excellent experience with wonderful food and great service.

Delicious vegan food, but you'd better reserve a seat - Edit

VEGA is a nice small restaurant in Madrid. I have been there for lunch. I recommend everyone to reserve a table but since I was alone it was easy to find a seat for me. I ordered the lunch-menu. The staff was stressed but nice. My menu was delicious, especially the seitan slices where tasty and I also loved the carrot cake.
Conclusion: Yes, VEGA is one of Madrids best vegan restaurants but you should reserve a seat and bring some time with you. Sadly the menu is only in spanish – but the staff tries to help out.

Pros: Handmade vegan food, Menu is not that expensive, Creative kitchen

Cons: Menu only in spanish, Staff is a bit stressed, You better reserve a seat
