The food we had was delicious, and the place has a nice atmosphere. We ate early in the evening and it wasn't too busy, but better to reserve again as it gets busy later on.

Vega right in the heart of the shopping district is a little gem. Super staff and food is fast and tasty. Starters of beautiful crunchy broccoli with tahini and croquets was a fantastic appetiser and the mains of crispy chicken skewers and noodles and the super beetroot salad bowl… we were stuffed. Also try the homemade lemonade.

I came for the lunch menu, which I know from the other Vega (Álamo), and it was just as great and affordable as at the other place. The portiins aren't very big, but I was happy after 3 courses. The staff has lots of fantasy to come up with all these dishes. Am sure to come back. Reservation strongly recommended.

The snack appetiser (free) given was some gnocchi and sun dried tomatoes which was pretty much OK only.

The pizza was great, with their own homemade ‘cheese’ sauce and artichoke topping. The crust is always vital on a pizza and they nailed it.
The cheesecake was rich and creamy, and was well balanced out with a fruit (I think raspberry) sauce.

Several of the dishes that were on the menu were not available when we visited. The service was slow and one of our dishes arrived with a considerable delay. So only three stars, but I'm willing to give this place another chance (I still want to try the tartare!). We ordered the spinach 'croquetas', teriyaki eggplant (with glass noodles and chives, which was a super nice touch) and crispy broccoli to share among the three of us, plus cheesecake and mousse for dessert. Our favourites were the 'croquetas', they looked nice with sprout decorations and had a pleasantly creamy texture. Overall, the food itself was good and the name 'cheesefake' made us chuckle.

Si estás por Malasaña merece la pena parar a comer aquí. Calidad precio buena, probamos las croquetas buenísimas y crujientes. La ensalada de burrata es grande, recomiendo compartir. El tiramisú espectacular. Servicio super amable y rápido.
