Great everyday spot! - Edit
This has been one of my favorite places to grab a quick meal (or cake!) since coming to Budapest a few weeks ago. They have a different menu every day of the week, with several soups and entrees. I’m able to get a full meal for under $5, with a main dish and a few side dishes or dessert. The variety of vegan cakes is amazing! I wouldn’t come here just for the cake, since I’ve found them to he a little dry (might just be the time of day I visit?), but definitely worth trying if you’re at Vega City anyway. Totally recommend coming, super friendly staff.

Quick, bright and tasty - Edit
I enjoyed my meal of a saslik (battered tofu and olives on a skewer) a rice patty and a ratatouille-like dish. Staff were friendly and helpful and the venue was spacious and bright. There were quite a lot of options and since it’s all bain-marie, it’s very quick. I didn’t try any desserts but they looked delicious... I might have to come back!

Not really on the top of cullinary arts, this is more like a canteen where one can get ones belly full, rather than enjoy new tastes and ideas.
Read moreThe food was okay. I found that the staff didn't really explain the options one has, and I felt that the price of the food was unpredictable. I find the pricing slightly chaotic - something measured by weight, something by piece.
It is a good spot, but not one I prefer.

A good range of vegan eats available in the centre - Edit
I went here twice. It was easy and convenient due to its location and the food is already made. Lots of cakes and juices to choose from and really nice staff. The food can be pretty heavy (lots of battered/crumbed and carb-loaded items) although I found this is quite common for the local cuisine anyway.

Vega City has lots of unique options and everything we tried was delicious. Wish I could try all the different foods. It is very cheap for the amount of food that you get.

I saw a lot of people getting food to go in their own containers, so it's great if you are low waste.

Good option for an early, quick meal! - Edit
Just returned from Budapest this week. While visiting, I quickly noticed that restaurants (or at least vegan restaurants) have very limited hours.... most places seem to only be open between 11am - 7pm, possibly 8pm.... making dining out a bit difficult for a New Yorker like myself that's used to eating meals whenever. Vega City happens to be one of the few vegan restaurants in the city opened prior to 11am, making it a great option for breakfast! Though, they don't have many traditional breakfast items, they do make delicious croissant veggie sandwiches that are a great early day options. Other buffet options include traditional Hungarian dishes, veggies, soups, smoothies, and cakes... tons of delicious cakes! Various coffee options also available. Extremely affordable prices, too! Overall, great place to get a filling meal. Just wish they were opened later in the evening and on weekends.

Delicous pastries and tasteful Hungarian food - Edit
We have visited this restaurant four days a row with a large group of 40 people. Each day, they served a different meal to us. We got typical Hungarian food such as goulash. A wonderful experience, as the Hungarian kitchen is mainly meat-based.

Theres a buffet with some typical hungarian stuff made vegan, snacks, burguers that looked amazing, cakes, smoothies etc, it was really cheap and food was good! The place is always full but theres plenty of seats, recomend!

Read moreThe day we visited, I had the Indian curry - a pea and tofu dish, and also a breaded cashew cheese side, just to try it. Both were very good, and made for a filling breakfast. The coffee was really good too.
Prices seemed really good and portions were large - we had 1/2 portions, which were definitely enough.
Pros: Healthy options, Hungarian style dishes, Plenty of space.

Read moreThe concept was a little bit confusing, because it had many boards of info spread out behind the counter. The people were really kind tough and were happy to explain the different dishes. Me and my girlfriend had the soup, pasta, breaded colliflower and two bionades. (Which was around 3500huf -€12) The portions were generous and the flavor was good, but the food could be warmer (it was close to cold).
We both had trouble with our stomachs afterwards.
If you are looking for a quick cheap bite this place is definitely good. Don't expect high end food but the price is unbeatable.

Great vegan canteen! - Edit
A big, spacey vegan canteen at a very popular location. They offer different meals everyday, also various vegan burgers and cakes. Everything is very affordable, me and my gf ate a lot (really a lot) for about 15 euros, including the cakes! Many people come here for a meal, it has a nice atmosphere😄You can choose takeaway or sit, there are two floors with many seats and tables.

Wow! We found this place as soon as we got off the bus on arrival in Budapest. It’s exciting to have so much choice, it’s like vegan heaven! Amazing lunch options AND desserts. We found it so difficult to choose but what we had was really tasty. We would have loved to go back again but were disappointed to find out they are shut at the weekend! Such a shame!

Top Croissant sandwich - Edit
I went to Vega City on Monday morning to have a breakfast. I came there few minutes after opening (at 9am) and asked for some options for breakfast, there are not many options for breakfast (go there rather for lunch or dinner) but I was not dissapointef because I've got an amazing croissant sandwich! You should try it. I've got one piece of some pear cake which was delicious too, not too sweet, perfect! It was not expensive at all! Definitely worthy to visit.

I went here a couple of times. The food was tasty and healthy. A really goid variety and different every day. The staff were very helpful. They can do take out and can provide cutlery (for a small amount) to go. I would have gone more. But it closes at 7pm.

Vegan Food from the Counter - Edit
Vega City is neither a buffet nor a regular sit-down restaurant. The food is all behind the counter as if you were to take t to go, but you can actually sit down on two different floors in the restaurant.
Read moreMost of the food is fast food so I had a ciabbata and some lemonade which were both fine. The oatcake that was recommended to me for dessert was not very tasty at all, unfortunately.
