Check if open first! Worth coming back :) - Edit
We took a chance that ‘standard’ evening opening hours reported online were solid only to find it closed, after a long walk at the end of a long day! Came back the next day and had more luck, got a nice seat overlooking the river and a welcome and delicious taco salad - generous portion - Heartland organic beer and a yummy matcha muffin to finish.

Cons: May not always be open when you’d guess!

Delicious but tiny portions - Edit
The food was delicious but unfortunately the portions (especially the pasta) were tiny. Since we were still hungry we ordered some cake (which was delicious) but overall the dinner got quite expensive and we were still not completely full.

River views & great food - Edit
I really enjoyed my experience sitting on the wall of windows over looking the river while enjoying breakfast. I started with the homemade ginger ale. SO GOOD. Next I had a pumpkin muffin which was good. Then I enjoyed the veggie panini. It had a lot of flavor and when paired with the muffin was a good amount of good.

I had the Açai Bowl and a chocolate muffin. Both were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back to try their dinner. Really nice atmosphere and views overlooking the river.

Too expensive - Edit
Edit: I found out they accidentally switched the 2nd and the 3rd number, but still. Also: shouldn't happen.
Read moreI had the starter plate and a curry, the price of the curry is okay, I guess, but the starter plate is too expensive in my opinion. Prices are without tax. I also didn't wanted to order the starter plate, I mistook it for a main dish, because of the explanation I got.

Great view, Great lunch! - Edit
Popular! I had to wait 45 minutes for a table but once i did it was well worth it, would visit again but closer to the opening time. Great lunch food, amazing view over the river! The desserts we tried were tasty but too expensive for the sizes in my opinion. The food was very well priced though! Would recommend if exploring kyoto!

Best in Kyoto! - Edit
So lovely, I had the taco bowl, and my parents had the tomato curry and rice and tempeh. Relatively good price and lovely staff - they stayed open especially for us! Right before the bridge on the left

An healthy option for once! - Edit
I took the taco rice, but it’s more like a salad with vegetables, black beans and rice (which is perfect IMO). Cute restaurant with many choices. ❤️

Good food and nice view! Had the lunch plate with vegan katsu and it was the juiciest and loveliest katsu I ever had! We also had a muffin, that was bit dry but the great lunch made up for it.

and OH the food
The carrot carbonara is creamy, sweet, and slightly smoky. The purple potato salad melts in your mouth. Falafel is moist and flavorful; cakes and muffins always perfect --
Easy to find, good value, nice vibe.

Fresh vegan food and nice atmosphere - Edit
Kyoto hasn’t too much vegan places and this one looks like an oasis. I had breakfast and it was quite nice, specially because sometimes you’ll miss fresh vegetables in Japan. There was also a homemade yogurt and granola with fresh fruits on it.

Really nice buddha bowl - Edit
Lovely little cafe- beautifully decorated with a simple menu of 3/4 things for lunch. There's a panini, a mixed plate and a buddha bowl with the best soy meat I've ever had. Between 1000-1800 yen depending on whether you get a drink with your meal, little bit pricey but you get a miso soup to start and it's lovely and healthy. Would recommend for something light.
