Perfect - Edit
We went here twice for breakfast and had the vegetable sourdough and the avocado on toast. Really outstandingly delicious. Also excellent coffee and a cozy setting with views over the river.

Yummy breakfast - Edit
We were the only guests for an early weekday breakfast. They have four breakfast options and some baked goods.
Read moreWe got the BLT with tempeh which was great, maybe the best we ever had. And also the Banana and Peanut butter bread, also very tasty.
We also had a piece of banana cake which was probably still from the day before and was a little dry and crumbly.
The view is great! But it can also get hot, when the sun is beating through the windows.
Update December 2025: came back for lunch. Buddha bowl was very tasty; karaage nice and crispy. Curry was a little spicy.
Got crowded quickly around 12pm.

O.K. food, kind staff, great view - Edit
I went there looking forward to a tasty avocado or blt sandwich, which is what I expected after reading some of the HC reviews. I arrived there at around 14:00 hours. I found the place using HC and google maps. Even though I had navigated there to a couple of meters from their front door, I had to search high and low to find the entrance as it is situated on the second floor and the store sign is very low key. From arriving at their doorstep it took me 10 minutes of scouring the streets to find the actual entrance. The menu I received was for Asian food only, no sandwiches on there whatsoever. I ordered an Asian platter with a few items such as soup, rice, vegetables along with a few other sides because I was very hungry and needed some calories pronto. The food was alright but nothing special, all greens and rice, no tofu or mock meat whatsoever. I would have appreciated some tofu or so with the rice/veg dish. No hot sauce was offered with the platter. The dishes were put together using very cheap ingredients, basically it was just lack luster Asian chow, absolutely nothing to write home about.

Pros: Kind staff, Nice view overlooking a river, Cheap food

Amazing for breakfast - Edit
We stayed in a hotel very close so we visitors for one lunch and 3 breakfasts!!!!
Read moreIt’s western style food with a Japanese twist. The lunch was lovely but where this place really shines is breakfast. The Tempeh BLT was FABULOUS! From the sourdough with a soft chewy centre and crisp crust to the perfectly cooked tempeh and the juiciest tomatoes. (I live local food but I miss my bread when travelling - not anymore!) They sell out early so the second day we also got to try the avo toast and banana and peanut butter- both hit all the boxes but the tempeh- well this is one of my favourite meals of the week.
Also very friendly staff allowed me to practice my Japanese with gracious patience.
Pros: Delicious tempeh, Amazing sourdough, Fab staff
Cons: Closes early

Good breakfast - Edit
We went there because of the sourdough bread toast and it was amazing. Fully recommend it. Be careful and watch the opening times on Google, they are different from here. And be early since they run out of bread later

The vegetables were very fresh and almost raw. The dressing went really well with the salad and the mock meat on top.
Read moreThe set meal was pretty good with a lot of variety.
The small soup going with the meals were good aswell.
The portions were unexpectedly big and very filling.
It is a relaxed store with a nice view on the Kamogawa.
Went there for tea and a cake at around 3 pm. The matcha latte was good. The cake was a bit dry and crumbly which was a bit sad.

Amazing vegan food, with seasonal vegetables that had so much flavour! We both had the tempeh BLT for lunch, which comes with soup and a salad, for drinks we had a tumeric latte and a bonsoy latte.
