Simply amazing! Make sure you pass by.

Opened just under 3 weeks ago (Today is Aug. 11, ‘19)
I can’t say enough good things about this place, you’ve gotta pass by here is you get a chance.
Some might find it slightly pricey, but you get what you pay for and the is more than worth the price.

Outdoor seating is just beautiful with the hills in the back.

Atmosphere is great and very hip. Great service and amazing food - what else do you want from a restaurant...

I had the:
Ironman Protein Shake - (don’t miss out on this one - amazing)
Tri-Spread (see picture)
You Need Protein (see picture)
Carrot/Orange Cake (see picture)

Highly recommended!

I was greeted politely, allowed to sit where I wanted, and served attentively (all quite unusual in Croatian hospitality, it seems!). I had the potato and sweet corn patties which were delicious and served on some lovely salty/umami cabbage, followed by the curry with careful bananas which was also absolutely delicious but so filling I couldn’t finish it all. I sat in the terrace which was lovely and quiet.

If you’re walking on the same side as the restaurant it’s easy to miss as the name is on the canopy above you...

Pros: Loads of veggie or vegan options, Yummy food, Good service

Cons: Easy to miss because of poor signage

Refreshing inside house terrace & very friendly service

I visited Urban & Veggie with my partner while in Dubrovnik in July 2019. We ate a very good early dinner and it was affordably priced. The place was very modern and we sat at the outdoors terrace (inside the building). The owner was very friendly and told us about his rather new place, how he had started it and where the food & wines come from. They had beautiful plates and food display, the (vegan) food was also very tasty and had more varied raw materials then the standard Croatian kitchen. Delicious dessert! We can recommend this place warmly.

Pros: good value, friendly staff, good vegan cooking

Cons: music was quite loud inside/in the bar section..

Great veggie restaurant in Gruz

Fantastic find on our last night in Dubrovnik.
We literally stumbled upon this place on our morning walk in to the old town and found out it had opened just a few days ago (hence why I couldn’t find it when I searched for veggie places on google or happy cow!). We decided to go for dinner that evening and tried a few things between us:

Starter
- Potato fritters: these were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served on wilted cabbage, with shoots and seeds to garnish and a homemade minty vegan mayonnaise. It was delicious.

Mains
- “You need protein” (aptly named considering the lack of vegan options in Dubrovnik!) which is a trio of tofu, tempeh and seitan with a side of some roughly mashed pumpkin and potato. All of which was well seasoned and delicious.
- “Chef visits the market” a selection of seasonal vegetables and leaves with some chopped seitan. This was a bit oily but had good flavour.

Dessert
- Orange, carrot and carob cake. Tasted a bit more like chocolate cake but was very tasty as well.

Overall definitely worth a visit, just wish we had known about it earlier as we would have been back multiple times!

Pros: Predominantly plant-based, Big outdoor terrace , Reasonably priced

Cons: Slightly basic furnishing
