Great little find!

Great choice of vegan food! We had the sweetcorn fritters started which was delish followed by a flavoured cauliflower dish with mash, my husband had the protein meal of tofu tempeh and seitan! The restaurant is nice and modern with lots of space!

Delicious food and Kind staff

As new vegans we were worried we wouldn’t find anything yummy to eat while vacationing in Croatia. Thankfully, we found this place just a couple minutes from old town and it was wonderful. I had the curry rice and beans and my husband had the Cauliflower with tomato sauce. We left so full! It was great :)

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Overpriced

This restaraunt has a cute terrace in the back - staff were friendly but everything was immensely overpriced for tiny unimaginative items. One of the dishes is literally just a slab of tofu and seitan with some strange sauce - Very dry.

Pros: Nice staff , Nice terrace

Cons: Overpriced , Unoriginal / uninspiring food

Great food options available

Although a little bit away from the old town, definitely worth a visit. Overlooking a part of the marina, you can enjoy a great meal.

Pros: Good food

Awesome and super vegan friendly

My wife and I were really excited to find a new, delicious veg restaurant in Dubrovnik! They just opened a couple of weeks ago, but they seem to have hit their stride already: the inside seating is really comfy, the terrace outside is gorgeous, and our waitress, Mia, both hopeful and patient as we kept ordering more food and took up space here for like four hours, marching through breakfast, lunch, and then getting food to go for our ferry! We had the curry (tasty and flavorful), the we want protein (a nice mix of tofu and seitan), the triplate dip thing (not a lot of food, but very pretty), the ironman smoothie (really good) and some coffee (also excellent). It seems like almost everything is vegan (though they said they had non-vegan options for things I didn't see them - for example, all the deserts were vegan) and everything we had was great!

Pros: Great Patio, Tasty food, Lovely staff

Simply amazing! Make sure you pass by.

Opened just under 3 weeks ago (Today is Aug. 11, ‘19)
I can’t say enough good things about this place, you’ve gotta pass by here is you get a chance.
Some might find it slightly pricey, but you get what you pay for and the is more than worth the price.

Outdoor seating is just beautiful with the hills in the back.

Atmosphere is great and very hip. Great service and amazing food - what else do you want from a restaurant...

I had the:
Ironman Protein Shake - (don’t miss out on this one - amazing)
Tri-Spread (see picture)
You Need Protein (see picture)
Carrot/Orange Cake (see picture)

Highly recommended!

I was greeted politely, allowed to sit where I wanted, and served attentively (all quite unusual in Croatian hospitality, it seems!). I had the potato and sweet corn patties which were delicious and served on some lovely salty/umami cabbage, followed by the curry with careful bananas which was also absolutely delicious but so filling I couldn’t finish it all. I sat in the terrace which was lovely and quiet.

If you’re walking on the same side as the restaurant it’s easy to miss as the name is on the canopy above you...

Pros: Loads of veggie or vegan options, Yummy food, Good service

Cons: Easy to miss because of poor signage

Refreshing inside house terrace & very friendly service

I visited Urban & Veggie with my partner while in Dubrovnik in July 2019. We ate a very good early dinner and it was affordably priced. The place was very modern and we sat at the outdoors terrace (inside the building). The owner was very friendly and told us about his rather new place, how he had started it and where the food & wines come from. They had beautiful plates and food display, the (vegan) food was also very tasty and had more varied raw materials then the standard Croatian kitchen. Delicious dessert! We can recommend this place warmly.

Pros: good value, friendly staff, good vegan cooking

Cons: music was quite loud inside/in the bar section..

Great veggie restaurant in Gruz

Fantastic find on our last night in Dubrovnik.
We literally stumbled upon this place on our morning walk in to the old town and found out it had opened just a few days ago (hence why I couldn’t find it when I searched for veggie places on google or happy cow!). We decided to go for dinner that evening and tried a few things between us:

Starter
- Potato fritters: these were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served on wilted cabbage, with shoots and seeds to garnish and a homemade minty vegan mayonnaise. It was delicious.

Mains
- “You need protein” (aptly named considering the lack of vegan options in Dubrovnik!) which is a trio of tofu, tempeh and seitan with a side of some roughly mashed pumpkin and potato. All of which was well seasoned and delicious.
- “Chef visits the market” a selection of seasonal vegetables and leaves with some chopped seitan. This was a bit oily but had good flavour.

Dessert
- Orange, carrot and carob cake. Tasted a bit more like chocolate cake but was very tasty as well.

Overall definitely worth a visit, just wish we had known about it earlier as we would have been back multiple times!

Pros: Predominantly plant-based, Big outdoor terrace , Reasonably priced

Cons: Slightly basic furnishing
