Couldn't imagine our neighbourhood without them

I love shopping here and always finding something new to try, especially because they keep looking into new brands and products.

Also, they give you the option to subscribe to a weekly delivery of fresh organic produce from a local farmer.

And finally, the staff is really friendly. There are always vegan dog cookies waiting for their barking customers, which are well received here.

Pros: Wide variety, Friendly staff, Opening hours

Excellent selection of dry goods, all vegan

I was very pleased to discover Planeta Vegano, which offers a wide selection of vegan dry goods, with a large percentage being organic. There are plenty of staples, snacks, sweets (including vegan ice cream), breads, pet foods, and protein options, including a number of regional products i haven't seen anywhere else (in Spain or elsewhere).

My only request for improvement would be adding a selection of fresh produce, as they don't currently sell fresh fruits or veggies.

Pros: Great selection, All vegan, Many organic items

Cons: No fresh produce

The vegan store in Madrid

They move to a new premise in the same street few meters up. Noy they have more space for vegan food, clothes, shoes, cosmetics, cleaning, vitamins, animals mates food, etc. The street is restricted to private cars (best if move by bike!), but the owners can delete the penalty if you say them your car plate number. Is not easy to find parking place in the street, also you can park in a old paying parking in Primavera street (100 m walking) and the penalty is also deleted.

Pros: Varied products, Full vegan

a great concept

When you enter this place you are overwhelmed by the variety of vegan meat available. Many-many different kinds of "sausages", vegan salmon, "shrimps", even "calamari". All kinds of veggies burgers, seitan and tofu. The largest selection of vegan cheeses I have seen in Europe and a large section of vegan pet food, which is great to see.
Oh and they carry vegan speculoo spread and even dulce de leche (de soja)

Pros: large variety

Cons: expensive

Good, not great

The first time it took me a while to find this nice little shop. It could very well be a dream come true if you are looking for anything vegan, but if you have other demands (organic, fair trade, etc.) the options will be limited considerably. Who needs white chocolate which travels all the way from Australia, when a Euro-company has that kind of product?
Either way, they definitely deserve some props for unapologetically promoting veganism and animal rights. I heard from staff that business was not doing excellent, so any animal-friendly individual should consider supporting this establishment.
