Don't believe the hype! - Edit
I've been a vegetarian cook for 45 years and I'm in a position to say unequivocally that the food in this restaurant is both poorly prepared as well as utterly tasteless.
Read moreI ordered the fried aubergine starter and a second dish of stuffed vegetables. Apparently this restaurant practices the "very little or no salt" principle. I questioned the waitress who answered that guests can salt their own dishes at the table. Seriously? Had I known I wouldn't have wasted my time and money!
The aubergine starter consisted of 3 completely tasteless slabs of oily aubergine. The dish was bitter due to the incorrect preparation of the aubergine. The stuffed vegetables were filled with bland, overcooked rice and dried herbs. It was like eating baby food. I ate because I was starving.
The servings are very small compared to similar dishes in other restaurants, yet you pay full price. I left the restaurant feeling fooled and robbed. What a waste and a huge disappointment.

Nutritious and Delicious - Edit
Super friendly and passionate family run vegan/vegetarian restaurant with wholesome delicious food. I split a lentil soup and vegan spinach pie (vegetarian version also available), served with thick whole grain bread. Enough for two to feel satisfied. The fruit juices tasted like fresh fruit, not just sweetness. Felt healthy and energized after my meal. We were served a gratis dessert after our meal.

10/10 on everything - Edit
Such an amazing place, with the friendliest staff, a beautiful aura and the food was the best I had in Crete.
Read moreI visited twice and loved it even more the second time. I had the moussaka, fava beans, spinach pie and briam. All were delicious, as were the vegetable sides that accompany the bread and complimentary sweets at the end.

Great greek comfort food, mostly vegan - Edit
We enjoyed this family restaurant. Most of the menu is vegan. My husband had a Boureki (which is not vegan bc of the greek cheese) and really liked it. I had the Gigantes, I had to add a bit of salt but it was really good, my daughters had the Pasticcio, which was a bit bland for me. Stelio bring us some fantastic additionnal food and an amazing free dessert. I really recommend this family place.

Great service, alright food - Edit
After this place was recommended to us I really wanted to love it. The food was ok I had high hopes for the vegan moussaka but it just wasn’t as nice as other ones I’d had. For starters me and my partner had the spinach pie and fava dip, you can’t go wrong with fava dip except the bread was super hard but the dip in itself was tasty and the spinach pie was nothing to write home about. The staff were lovely and we were brought an amazing almond milk dessert with some watermelon.

Delicious vegan food - Edit
After a long trip to Chania we got hungry and decided to go at To Stachi. It was the perfect choice. The people out there are so passionate about vegan food. They cook with passion and they stay with you at the table to explain how the food is made. Vegan Moussaka it’s a must try! So go eat at To Stachi and you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely delicious! - Edit
The food here was so delicious, and flavoured perfectly. It was so hard to choose what to have as it all sounded wonderful. The chef even showed us round his kitchen. It was very relaxed, a lovely venue and very friendly owner. I hope he writes a cook book.

Lovely staff, good food - Edit
The staff were really friendly and the vegan options were good. Felt a bit like vegan food from the 70s- very health and veg orientated with no vegan cheese options. Still really nice though! The dessert was my favourite- a vegan cinnamon custard dessert- definitely recommend.

Amazing place for vegan dining in Chania - Edit
Went for dinner and really enjoyed the veganised versions of traditional Greek meals. Portions were generous and tasty. The staff were really helpful and both us tasters of the daily specials. Didn't get a chance to try the pudding as very full!

What a lovely find in Chania. Cute, cheerful, friendly and with a hugely extensive menu of vegan food, with some vegetarian options too. Run by a lifelong family of vegetarians it’s a great place and the food is excellent and inexpensive. We’re so glad we had dinner there and highly recommend it.

Lovely family, delicious food - Edit
We had a great meal here - we were totally stuffed by the end! Everything was totally charming, from the server, who is the daughter, to the wine selection (she pulled the bottles off the shelf and brought them to us to show them to us), to the homemade everything. It was also amazing to know that the family grew much of the vegetables themselves in their garden 4 km out of town.

Best vegan food in Crete so far… - Edit
Absolutely delicious food, the majority of which was vegan or could be made vegan. The best vegan mousaka I’ve ever eaten and an amazing almond milk custard dessert. Manically busy but the staff were completely lovely and prompt even though they were rushed off their feet.
