Excellent Vegan Food - Edit
I was on a tour and this was where we stopped for lunch. I was glad to have seen this vegan restaurant in this town. I ordered the kale salad, and it was delicious. Try this place out if visiting or on a tour stop.

Wow - vegan heaven in Fort William - Edit
Well, what could you expect from a completely vegan café? The Wildcat delivers nothing less than everything! From breakfast to lunch to great coffee to cake and pastries. Oh, and it also has a little vegan store in the back. Been there a couple times when we were in Fort William. This lovely place is definitely the place to go when visiting Fort William. Highly recommended!

Sweat and delicious - Edit
The best place for vegans in Fort William! I loved everything about the small place, it had a cute and comfortable design, very friendly staff, lots of good food and coffee. I ate there twice and it was delicious. I can recommend the soup (lentil-tomato) with the pastry (filling was vegetables), the carrot cake, the biscoff cake and the Oreo cake.

Vegan Café in the Highlands - Edit
Nice spot in the centre of Fort William. The Café is quite popular but we were lucky and found a table right away. There are plenty of dishes and the food is served really fast. Highly recommended as spot for breakfast and lunch!

Très bonnes pâtisseries. Le gâteau au caramel salé particulièrement, mais tout ce que nous avons goûté était impeccable.

amazing cafe in Fort William - Edit
We were quite surprised to find this gem in Fort William – a great cafe with amazing food! We had the mushroom croissant (which was insanely good), the Korean scrambled tofu on sourdough toast and the peppered steak-less pasty, and we loved all of it. We also took two pieces of cake to go, and they were also just delicious. A must-visit if you are in Fort William!!

We came across this cute little cafe by accident, but it’s a little vegan haven. The food is delicious, from the breakfast to the pasties and cakes.

Vegan restaurant - Edit
Very happy to see a vegan restaurant in fort william. Unfortunately a lot of options were sold out when we visited. Both drinks and lunch options. Well it was a good sign, because they are doing well.

Everything I hoped it would be - Edit
After trekking here for 2 weeks from John O' Groats: you will not find a better vegan spot than this in the highlands. Specialty coffee, tofu scramble, range of cakes - all the hallmarks of a top tier cafe.

Food is best quality, staff is super friendly and atmosphere so good.
Exactly one year later, we came back and what should I say? Nothing to add, still our favorite place in Fort William.

Good vegan options - Edit
We visited The Wildcat in June 2025 for lunch. We had the macaroni cheese and a mushroom and cheese filled croissant. Both were nice and it's always great to find a fully vegan place. They had lots of cakes and pastries available and the Millionaire’s Cake we opted for was delicious.

Massive disappointment - Edit
Overpriced and bland food, we had the steak and also vegetable pasties both were underwhelming and £8 each!!! We also had a wrap and a piece of cake (I can't remember which now) again bland and disappointing. Yes it's great that it is all vegan but the menu and taste of food could be massively improved especially for the ridiculose prices.

Nice! - Edit
The food was great. We had a toddler with us and the seating was a tiny bit tricky with that in mind but not a huge issue. Plus the staff were friendly with him. Really enjoyed the Mac and cheese and the tea selection

Such a lovely spot and wonderful food. Was looking forward to stopping here on our way out to Skye from Glen Coe area and it did not disappoint! We ate in for breakfast and took some pastries to go. Note that it does fill up fast to get there early!

Nice vegan food - Edit
The small Café offers many nice vegan dishes as a daily menu, soups, many different cakes, and pastries. It was very well visited and it was difficult to get a seat. The vegan Mac n Cheese was great, but the taste not as hearty as the smell. The sauce was not really like cheese, more like vegan cream.

Wonderful vegan cafe in Fort William. Not many vegan places in this area so super happy to have found this. Especially nice to get vegan scones.
Read moreWhen we arrived there was a queue. We were lucky to get a table relatively quickly (although the table organisation did not seem super efficient to us). We came at around 14:00/14:15 and several things were already sold out since they close at 16:00 (but still many delicious things left!).

Fantastic - Edit
This place is a real treasure. Their specialities are the tofu scramble and the waffles, but the whole menu is good and they do pastries and cakes also. Decent coffee, wide range of teas & hot chocolate. A real find.
