Not the best choice in town

Strange Mix of hip Café and cheap Chinese Restaurant. Food was alright, but average and price fair for the Location on High Street with all the Tourists.

Not tasty & expensive

I went there and tried udon and my wife, sour&spicy soup, neither of which were tasty. Ingredients didn't feel fresh and it was expensive for what it was for.

The view from cafe was nice but you could also step outside and see the same view so you wouldn't go for that view.

Do not believe happycow expensiveness-cheapness rating. This is not a cheap cafe.

Pros: Lots of options for vegans.

Cons: Expesive, Not tasty

Really great

The stuffed tofu puffs are wonderful. Worth going just for those.

Okay

The place looks run-down. They sold us "multipack, not to be sold separately" drinks.

I had the dumpling soup, which was not very tasty.

Disappointing experience

We ordered Hot and Sour Vegan Soup, Mixed Veg Udon and Shredded Potato in Spicy Vinegar sauce.
Maybe we picked the wrong dishes, but what we ate was average and not tasty. The potato dish was very greasy and uninspired.
Not friendly...I cannot recommend this restaurant

Pros: Cheap food

Cons: Not tasty, Not friendly

⭐️⭐️⭐️

we ordered the sweet & sour tofu, which was decent but not amazing, but it does the job after a full day of hiking😎 a bit pricey for what you get, but the other reviews look a lot better so maybe we were just unlucky that day!

Chinese in Scottish Highlands

Wandering along the High Street in Fort William and this wee cafe caught our eye. Great Asian food, made fresh, so delicious.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Food was saucey and spicy and fab, BYOB (unofficially)

Vegan Chinese

Had quite a few Chinese vegan options including chow mein, tofu veg, Singapore noodles, hot and sour soup and a aubergine curry dish. It was so good and pretty cheap. Not dog friendly though but do take away.

Aroma Cafe Fort William

Really tasty vegan Chinese dishes, home cooked and they will vary the spice content if required. Also serve vegan ice cream. Inexpensive.

Tasty chinese dishes

We had some of the vegan chinese options for takeaway and the food was super tasty. The vegan chow mein and aubergine in yellow bean sauce were really delicious, the ma po tofu was also nice, but a bit on the more extreme spicy side!

Pros: Clearly labeled vegan options, Chinese-style dishes, Tofu options, not only vegetables

Some vegan options, ours a little bland

We stopped here for dinner. There's a menu of Chinese food which you can eat in or takeaway. Some items are labelled as vegan, some are a little ambiguous and say 'meat/veg', we asked about a few of the 'veg' options and they semi-confidently said they were vegan. The crispy pancake rolls were really nice, the 'tofu and vegetables' and 'udon and vegetables' were fine but pretty tasteless. I'd get something spicy if I went again.

Pros: Some clearly labelled vegan dishes and cakes, Friendly staff

Cons: Some dishes a bit bland , Some ambiguous labelling

Great vegan sandwich

Stopped off here for a coffee, which tasted great. Saw the vegan haggis and tofu toasted club sandwich, just hit the spot. Friend had hot and sour soup, which I assume was vegan - it was delicious apparently. Nice little shop with lots of options and friendly staff.

Pros: Good selection of vegan options, Tasted great, Friendly service

Chinese / Cafe in one!

This lovely cafe has typical cafe fare including sweets - including a vegan tort. They also have an extensive Chinese menu with many vegan dishes clearly labeled. They even have tofu and it wasn’t fried. I haven’t had Chinese since I went vegan 12 years ago so I really was really delighted.

Pros: Inexpensive.
