Swing on by

I recently visited here for lunch after hearing about a change on their menu to cater more for vegans. The vegan options were creative and a nice change from your bog standard dishes often put on veg friendly outlets. I decided to order the tofu pho bowl with an oolong tea, whilst my wife decided upon the baked spiced hummus with crumbled falafels and flatbreads and rooibos tea. The tofu pho bowl was beautifully presented in a clear bowl and the broth and tofu were perfectly spiced, seasoned and cooked. The hummus was exceptional and was packed full of flavour and well spiced, with the addition of caramelised onions and mushroom toppings complimenting the dish perfectly. In total we spent about £20. We were too full for any dessert but I did notice a variety of cakes available on the counter but unfortunately they were not labelled. I should also mention there is a great selection of teas available too. Inside the decor and interior adds character and together with the friendly staff help make this a very inviting place to visit and socialise.

Pros: Creative vegan options, Friendly staff, Decor

Cons: Serves meat

Vegetarian experience

Been coming to the wild trapeze since it opened (back when I was a meat eater!) and I have always been impressed by the creativity of the menu, fresh ingredients and selection.
Recently the menu has undergone a transformation and there are lots of vegetarian and vegan options available due to the owner becoming vegetarian. The quesadillas and the tacos are absolutely amazing.
There is a good selection of drinks which can be made vegan and a large selection of teas. The cafe is interesting inside with painted pictures on the wall which I believe may be for sale :). Overall really impressed and would definitely return. From speaking to staff they hope to add more vegan cakes and options in the future so one to look out for!

Pros: Interesting menu, Large drinks selection, Vegan options

Cons: Does serve some meat
