Great as usual

Whenever we travel south to the Panhandle of FL to visit family, we make sure to stop overnight in Nashville, just to eat at The Wild Cow. Our meal this time was great as usual and very plentiful. Our waiter was attentive and the food was delicious.

Pros: Friendly staff, Delicious food, Fun and hip place

It was decent

I’ve been to so many vegan/veggie restaurants. The service that day wasn’t good. The waited took our drink order and then sat down to eat his food. It would have been nice if he would have communicated that someone else would be taking our order (Which took a while) Also I think the food could have been more refined in presentation. The food tasted ok. I felt like the tacos were overloaded and you could get a distinct taste. Maybe this was a one off.

Cons: Service

not consistent

Been here a few times. My husband and I really enjoyed our first experience, after that the food was consistent. It the taste completely changed; even the salads.
Prices are ok for some of the options and overpriced for others.

Definitely Recommend

The veggie burger was a little spicy, but it tasted great overall. Also got the nachos, the “cheese” is amazing!

Pros: Excellent food , Friendly staff

Good, but over-hyped

Been a few times now and I've always been... disappointed. The food is not BAD, but I think it's so overpriced. It's food I make at home all the time, so to pay $10-15 for it just hurts. It's always crowded and parking/traffic sucks, so it's stressful to go. And, it's very hippy-dippy, so I never feel like I "belong".

It's a cool vibe, I guess, and has decent food (the hummus and bowls are best imo), but I don't go often. A shame because their business model is great.

Pros: Good food, Works with local farmers, Everything made in-house

Cons: Pricey for what it is, Parking/traffic suck, Limited seating

Vegetarian sandwich shop with lots of vegan options. Same owners as GRAZ which is vegan and around the corner. Delish and light. Very popular ... be prepared to wait!!

Pros: vegan friendly, delish

Excellent Vegan choice

In a city of copious meat eateries, I was glad to find this place.
Went for dinner. the place is very clean and food excellent. The lentil stew was especially fabulous.
Even my non vegan friend was impressed.
Highly recommend.

Pros: Clean, Tasty food

Cons: Could have nicer wine selection

Flavor! on Flavor! on Flavor!

Honestly, this is the best burrito we ever had. The seitan was perfectly sauteed & seasoned. These folks really know how to cook. We shared between us, the Seitan Burrito with Chips & Salsa, the Tempeh Burrito with Vegan Cheese and the side of the day, which was mashed potatoes with kale, and a kombucha. Everything had such depth of flavor. The portions were super duper filling. The service was lovely. I'm so glad we waited the 20 minutes to be seated; more than worth it. Hot Sauce is terrific, too!

Pros: Best vegan flavors, ever!

Cons: Sometimes there's a wait

Love Wild Cow

I've been to this place three or four times now and only once have I been disappointed (the tofu scramble tacos were way over seasoned). Every other time was really yummy! I've had the veggie rice bowl, the nachos, spinach dip, and their salads are pretty good. I even bought a david bowie painting there! They give the money right back to the artist.

Pros: Nachos, Spinach dip

Cons: Service can be slow sometime

Vegans traveling across Country

We got displaced by Irma as we traveled across country and so we stopped in Nashville for a couple of night. I was a little skeptical about what we could find to eat BUT The Wild Cow killed it!!
We got the Nachos, the Taco Sampler and the Sweet potato and Black bean taco. Couldn't eat everything so we had a great midnight snack. Wish I could have tried some a dessert they looked wonderful.

Pros: The Hostess at the front was so nice and welcoming

excellent!

Service was fantastic and food was awesome! Queso has great consistency and the chips are awesome. My favorite so far is the taco salad with avocado. I always have a hard time deciding what to order because so many things sound good....unlike normal restaurants where I have a hard time deciding because of lack of options. I definitely recommend this cute little restaurant!! 😄🥑👍

Pros: reasonably priced, vegan menu with dairy cheese on request for vegeta, many menu options

Cons: small place so you many have to wait for a table

Excellent!

Our meals were so good! Even the kids found plenty to like. Great selection of local beers, super friendly wait staff, nice neighborhood. The dining area is fairly small so we had to wait a bit. Also getting to/from the highway is not intuitive if you are coming from out of town.
We will definitely visit The Wild Cow again whenever we have a chance, it's worth the trip.

Pros: excellent food, friendly wait staff, did I mention how good it was?!!

Cons: small seating area

ATMOSPHERE & FOOD!!!

I'm newly vegan and also new to the Nashville area. It was my first time at a vegetarian restaurant, and it was truly an amazing experience!! The servers are all attentive and show great teamwork; I believe this is a product of tip-sharing. I especially loved Taylor, who was so welcoming and just overflowing with information and enthusiasm. She made my day :)as for the food, upon Will's recommendation, I got the black bean burrito (name?) with rice and avocado, topped with vegan queso and barbecue sauce. I literally ate on it all day and I was fantastic. And that chickpea salad tho! Huge thanks to The Wild Cow for an awesome experience.

Out of this world flavor!

My hubby had the buffalo beans 'n greens bowl and I had the taco sampler. The flavors were incredible! The combinations of flavors texture and color were a party for our vegan tastebuds!

I've read other reviews regarding the service. The hostess pretty much scolded is when we arrived for seated service but told her we'd already ordered by phone since we were driving through. She abruptly informed us that calling in is only for to go orders - they don't do call ahead seating, and that we'd receive our food in boxes and be charged a .25 to go charge as she seated us. Wow. Welcome to our restaurant!

Thankfully our server was not rude and the lady that brought our food to the table was full of smiles - and our food was served on plates rather than in boxes.

The food was so good that we'd love to eat there again when in Nashville- guess we'll have to put up with someone who hopefully is just having a bad day. Hope tomorrow is a better day for her!

Pros: Flavor, flavor, flavor!, Great value!

First Time Experience

This was our first time visiting The Wild Cow. My husband loved everything we ordered, but my opinion was very different from his. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer and had the seitan strips and chipotle chorizo added. I did not like the taste of the seitan strips, but the chorizo was pretty good. I originally ordered the chipotle and black bean burrito, but cancelled that since it came with the same chipotle seitan strips as the nachos. Instead, I ordered the black bean burger. I did enjoy the burger for the most part. It was very soft, yet still full of flavor. My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak and liked the taste of it. We both loved the pineapple coleslaw. As far as taste goes, this was kind of a disappointing experience for me, but as I stated earlier, my husband thoroughly enjoyed all of the food.

awesome spot!

The wild cow was in an awesome location. The food was amazing, I tried the taco sampler and the buffalo grinder. I brought 2 carnivores and they got the veggie burger and the Philly cheesesteak. They loved it! Overall, an awesome place and super friendly staff.

Pros: vegan deliciousness

Cons: too many good options to eat at once

Great Vegan Options

The buffalo beans and greens bowl and the lentil bowl are always on point. One of the few places to get a vegan patty melt.

Very good restaurant.

This place is around the corner from Graze. These two restaurants evidently have the same management. Graze is the classier and better place; Wild Cow is more relaxed, less costly, and not up to the same high standards as Graze--though still very good. I would definitely eat here again; but if I had the money for a really fine dinner, I would choose Graze.

Pros: Relaxed, Fine food, Friendly staff

Don't skip this place!

A nice, cozy restaurant. It is small but that adds to the charm. I also enjoyed the photos of cows. ?

The menu has a lot to offer. It took me a while to decide on what to order! My family started with the spinach artichoke dip. It was delicious and arrived quickly after ordering despite the place being full! I got the taco sampler for my meal and I couldn't have been happier. They were HUGE and really flavorful. My husband ordered the Philly, which he enjoyed very much. It was filled to the max with seitan.

And last but not least, the service was excellent. I'd have to say it was easily the best service we've ever had. This was more than appreciated after an hour long wait for a table. The staff is attentive and hard working.

Pros: Delicious food, Plenty of parking, Filling

Wonderful!

Entire menu is vegan so you don't have to search for what to eat. There was a wait for a seat but it wasn't all that bad. I got the Buffalo style tempeh hoagie and mashed sweet potatoes and they were great! Also bought a t-shirt :)

Pros: All vegan, Not expensive, Cozy setting
