Plant-based dishes at their finest! - Edit
Was driving back to Lancaster Pennsylvania from Memphis Tennessee, with my girlfriend. Found this place on the HappyCow app. I love it when I find a plant-based restaurant that has a really good coffee, mixed drinks, food menu; and this place has it! We started out with the spinach artichoke dip and I had the Reuben sandwich with a side of steamed kale. Everything was prepared really well, great flavors and textures but the kale could’ve been cooked a few minutes longer.
Read moreSuper good freshness. I will definitely make this a regular visit when I pass through the area for work.
Pros: Good menu options, Clean and well lit, Diverse drink menu
Cons: Parking can get dicey

Amazing food - Edit
We came here around 2pm on a Saturday and we had quite a wait, but the food was so worth it. We got the spinach-artichoke dip, reuben and buffalo grinder and everything was A+. The location and menu have changed since I last came here a few years ago - the location is much better, the restaurant is much roomier (although also more popular) and the food is better than I remember.

I'm Wild About The Wild Cow - Edit
This place was great. Excellent, inventive food, good service in a cute setting. I had the patty melt with southern slaw and it was all very good. And they have spiked Kombucha! Next time we are in Nashville we are coming back. If you go on a weekend, get reservations.

Tasty and creative - Edit
Ordered the patty melt to go with a side of lentil stew. The restaurant was packed on a Wednesday night and I had a little wait, but totally with it! The flavors were amazing and the spice combos were awesome. I don’t know what was in the lentil stew, but it was so “creamy” and nicely spiced-couldn’t eat it fast enough!

Got the buffalo tempeh bowl delivered and it did not disappoint. I had enough left over for another meal, and my portion sizes are by no meals slow. So tasty. So filling.

Old Favorite - Edit
This is one of the first vegetarian restaurants I tried after becoming vegan. With so many options, it was a great one to start with. I know it is an appetizer, but the vegan queso is my favorite thing on the menu. Omnivores have devoured it and asked for more! As for my favorite salad, I always love the Taco Salad. Every component of the salad is well flavored and they all combine very well together.

Great service and variety - Edit
I was so stoked to find this gem walkable from my air bnb. After coming from Seattle and spending a week with family in rural TN, I was dying for some tasty vegan fare and I found it here! Staff was cool, lots of variety on the menu. Grab some sweet merch and hot sauce while you’re at it! Hail Seitan!

Great Vibe, Food & Drinks! - Edit
I've been coming to Wild Cow for years now on my annual trip to Nashville - consistently terrific food and drink, great vibe & staff. The reviews below hit the menu highlights, so I'll just add three comments: 1) don't forget to check the blackboard for the specials, which are often amazing! 2) if it's crowded with a big wait-list and you have a party of just 1-2, ask if you can sit at the counter. 3) The ice cream place a few doors down has multiple vegan options, and is killer, assuming you made it out the door of Wild Cow without one of their desserts; and the donut place around the corner also has vegan options.

Worth it! - Edit
Visiting Nashville, staying downtown, it’s a bit of a haul to get to but was super worth it. I had the burrito w/ seitan, black beans, rice, and veggies. I added the vegan nacho cheese - so good that way. Also tried the tempeh buffalo wings - the buffalo sauce and dipping ranch were hella good.

Amazing and family friendly! - Edit
We came here for lunch on a Monday afternoon. There was a 6 minute wait, but they gave us a menu to look over.
Read moreThe menu is huge, lots of vegan and vegetarian options. There is also a kids menu, they gave the little man colors to draw as we ate as well.
I ordered the tempeh buffalo strips with seasonal veggies, the buffalo sauce was spicy and delicious. The tempeh was a little looser than I'm used to, but still had a great flavor.
My vegan friend ordered the buffalo grinder with tempeh and garlicky kale. They LOVED it. Ate all of theirs and part if mine.
Out meat eating friend ordered the burger with chips and salsa, he was in heaven. He also loved the tempeh strips.
My kiddo had veggie sticks and a pb&j, the bread looked amazing!
Service was also great!

I really wanted to like this place. But it was only ok. I have the gyro salad and my husband had the Ruben. Neither of us would order those dishes again. It wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t great

In Nashville, this is my date night restaurant of choice. Perfect for any picky eaters. They have scrumptious nachos and delicious lentil stew. Their specials always deliver. They sell Vegan Vee desserts which are my go-to bakery in Nashville. Always must get a cupcake before I leave.

Hip East Nashville where there are 2 vegan restaurants (Graze is completely vegan, the other, The Wild Cow, is vegan/vegetarian). I came to The Wild Cow in March 2018. Had to come back. Vegan Caesar, Buffalo tempeh strips, mixed veggie tofu bowl and a vegan version of a hostess cupcake. Took home leftovers for Tuesday! It was very good!

Very Good. Via Postmates - Edit
Stuck at the [censored] Hotel and thankfully Postmates delivers for them. The tempeh is so good! It must be made locally as its far superior in texture and flavor than the typical store bought stuff. Highly rwcommended.

Diverse offerings for vegans in small space - Edit
The Wild Cow has something for everyone and every appetite level. With options ranging from delicious salads to filling burritos, there's really no time you can't go here. I, like others, cannot help but sing the praises of the Buffalo Beans and Greens (with tempeh) because it really is *that* flavorful and filling. The nachos are another favorite of mine to share with others because the sour cream and cheese is such a nice thing to have as a vegan. Daily specials are always creative and worth checking out alongside the popular menu items.
Read moreThe beverage menu is also full of options ranging from smoothies to teas to wines and beers.
Don't forget to check out the dessert case before you leave and if you're too full to eat it then, you can take away for later. Who doesn't like to find a piece of pie in your bag?
The space is a bit smaller than many other restaurants in the area so if you're coming during peak hours or with a larger party, be prepared to possibly wait. The wait will definitely be worth it.
Pros: Default vegan (vegetarians can ask for dairy), Wide range of options, Excellent flavors
Cons: Small space (you may have to wait), Fair prices, Some portion sizes are very large
