Nice place, need to improve their new burger - Edit
I tried their new "fish" burger. It was ok, not excellent but still good (I love how the tofu as fried and I didn't feel the nori + same for the lemon curd sauce = i didn't feel it). As it's new, I suppose they can improve it :-)
But anyway, i like it. The staff speak english well and they are nice and it's easy to find.
Pros: Staff speak english, cheap price
Cons: they need to improve their new burger

Excellent - Edit
The food here was delicious and the prices fair (meaning still expensive, but by Israeli standards, very fair). We tried a lot of stuff here and everything was good, the shawarma, the nuggets, everything really. Service can be slow - as it's a small operation, and if it gets busy, expect to wait awhile.
Pros: Fair prices, Yummy food
Cons: Slow service

good people, good food ! - Edit
We were lucky enough to find them at the end of Yom Kippur when we were looking for a famous falafel on Kings George, and couldn't be happier ! Great service, friendly people and good food, had a cheeseburger and it was all I needed after a long day of walking through tlv. Deserts are tasty too, and they sell vegan chocolate panda choc, a super yummy local vegan milk choc that I definitely recommend ! All the staff is said to be vegan, and they also sell pins and badges for local associations.
Pros: local products, vegan staff

sooo tasty and insane iced coffee - Edit
the mushroom burger was really good especially the sauce which was just like how I remembered a mcdonalds big mac to be. the coffee was just perfect!!! so refreshing and the onion rings were great too. the kind staff gave us a tasty chocolate mousse to try as well. would be useful if they had an English menu, maybe we would have ordered more stuff but I will try to come here again even just for this wonderful coffee.

Deliciously dangerous - Edit
Absolutely the place to go to satiafy all your cravings and love for a big, juicy meal of junk food. The chicken strips are crunchy and incredibly tasty, so far it's my favorite thing on the menu. And with all the great homemade sauces you will walk away satisfied in every way possible. The staff is great and the food is well made and delicious.
Pros: Food quality, Staff and service, Sauces!!!
Cons: A tiny bit expensive

I had the schnitzel in a pita. It went great with the local Goldstar beer. They sell local vegan chocolate and other goodies. Loved it :)

a favourite spot - Edit
We visited a few times over our week in tel aviv. The schnitzel burger is great! Awesome fries with a mayo type sauce. They also sell vegan Mr Donuts! Fun, friendly spot on a lively street with a nice outdoor seating area.

yummy, fast food - Edit
This place is small, but has several options both healthy and unhealthy and the location and prices are amazing. If getting the vegan shwarma, my recommendation is to get it in the baguette (it's cheaper and bigger). The seitan salad is also delicious and the thousand island dressing is to die for. The crowd of people this place attracts can be really good or really bad, depending on the day/time and what type of people you enjoy being surrounded with. Definitely a no frills restaurant.
Pros: cheap, tasty, some variety
Cons: small and crowded , "fast food", low quality service

Edible cheap food - Edit
The food used to be much better than today... the schawarma is tasteless and the pizza is too oily. the location is great, so as the prices. the place itself realy messy and small. I will probably won't go there unless I'm in the area and really hungry.
Pros: Cheap, Location
Cons: Inadequate food, messy place

It's Not Real Shawarma? - Edit
Great location, near the Dizengoff mall. It is truly a fast food type place but if you want shawarma that is meatless you should like this. My husband couldn't tell the difference!
When we were there it appeared that the owner was planning some renovations but, three months later, it looks about the same.
Pros: Inexpensive compared to most, Location, Good Food
Cons: Limited menu, Very informal, not for a dining experien

Loved it! - Edit
This was the best vegan shwarma I've ever had. The flavor was great. I also liked the special sauce they made. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They have an English menu. I wish I had the time to try other things on their menu.
Pros: Delicious vegan shwarma, Friendly staff, English menu

Generally Good, Fast, Convenient, Reasonable Price - Edit
Not bad for a new place. As several of the other reviewers have noted, although it definitely has some room for improvement, it unquestionably has its good points - which I believe outnumber and outweigh its flaws. I loved the pizza, enjoyed the burritos/wraps, but perhaps they were not quite up to BuddhaBurgers quality. Burgers were good if that's your thing, service, as in most places, can vary depending upon who happens to be manning the place on a given occasion. Generally, I'd rate the service, attentiveness and friendliness of staff anywhere from decent to great depending upon which time you come. Hopefully, they will continue to grow, develop, and mature as a business and become more responsive to the needs and preferences of their clientele. Have been several times, and I'll undoubtedly go again.
Pros: Quick, Not too expensive, (mostly) Tasty
Cons: Short on variety and options. , Some staff more friendly than others, No Whole Wheat Pizza

100% Vegan!! - Edit
Don't worry about their name being "Vegetarian Shawarma" - their food is 100% vegan. If you're in the mood for fast food, this place is for you! I especially like their burgers, all the varieties. And they use vegan cheeze on their cheezeburgers and pizza.
Pros: Great burgers, Inexpensive, All vegan

Enjoyable vegan spot in Haifa - Edit
One of the few (or only) vegan restaurant in Haifa. They offer seitan-based proteins with pita or bread, fresh salads and sauces. Great treat for veg lovers!
Pros: Unique foods not found other places

needs improvement - Edit
ok, it's fast food, i get it. but you can still put in the effort to make something good, even in fast food. i had the schnitzel, which tasted like a cheap microwaveable patty. all the sauce was put in the bottom of the pita, and the dry patty with some lettuce was on top of it. it seems if you're going to make it that way, at least give tahini with it, which they do have, you just have to ask for it.
i would not go out of your way to try this place, it's just not worth it. if the vegetarian shawarma wasn't 100% vegan, i would give it a rating of two cows.
Pros: all vegan
Cons: lack of effort, mediocre quality

Quick, Cheap & Good with Room For Improvement - Edit
The Good: If you want an awesome vege cheeze burger (or double cheezeburger!), or a quick, cheap, and decent veg meal, then "The Vegetarian Schwarma" is a great choice.
The bad: This place has a limited menu, in terms of flavors, contents, and your control over the menu. Unlike its competitor, Buddha Burgers, there is no Tempeh or Seitan used here (only Tofu and Soy Fake meat). The flavors are also limited. You cant choose a sauce, carb, and protein and have a stir fry made for you. The stir fry has one sauce and that's it. It's fast food, with as few choices as necessary for the customer.
Although the restaurant is called "the Vegetarian Schwarma" my dining partner and I, were very unimpressed with the signature dish which was pretty bland. I think it's ironic that while many real Schwarma places have self-serve salads galore, the "healthy" vege Schwarma place puts a few pickles and some Israeli salad in beforehand and gives you almost no choices.
Meanwhile, the vege burgers here are the best in Tel Aviv and MM MM Good! They only have 1 type of burger and you can get it as a vegan cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was delicious as was the sauce and I detected a hint of flax seed in the burger.
I also tried the Pizza, Salami Sandwich (Naknik), and tofu stir fry. The Pizza was great (maybe the best vegan pizza in tel aviv along with "Taste of Life"), and I ordered it with Vege-Pepperoni. The vegan cheese wasn't the perfect consistency but it was very good and the crust was excellent (Note: at 39 Shekels for a personal pizza, this was the only overpriced item on their menu). The salami was a major disappointment. It was basically a few slivers (of the same pepperoni they use on the pizza) cut up and thrown in a baguette with Israeli salads. I asked for Sour Kraut and got Israeli pickled cabbage, the whole thing tasted off and cheap. Lastly, their stir fry (which is called teriyaki, but is much more sweet n sour) was okay but nothing to write home about, in terms of flavor or contents.
The place is conveniently located just 1 block from Dizengoff center which is a huge plus. While it doesn't have the variety of flavors, vibe, or overall quality of Buddha Burgers, it's quicker, very fairly priced, and most of the offerings are solid. While the Vegetarian Schwarma, certainly has plenty of room for improvement, for a place which recently just opened, it does the trick and has me really craving for my next vege cheeseburger!
Pros: Good Prices, Great location , Quick pleasant service
Cons: Not Kosher (open on Shabbat), Limited Menu , Limited Street Parking

Great place - Edit
The Vegan Schawarma offers many fast food options, including Schawarma (obviously), Schnitzel, Salami, asian veggies and burgers.
Most of those options are available in either a pita bread, baguette or tortilla, but some, like the burger and the salami, are/can be served in their own way (buns for the burger and a toast for the salami).
The dish I liked the most was the schnitzel served in a baguette.
Also, I would really recommend trying the vegan thousand islands sauce, it's excellent.
The staff is friendly and the place is very nice to seat at, although inside it is sometimes too crowded.
Overall, I would recommend everyone to try this place, as it is cheap and tasty, such value for money should be an example for everyone.
Pros: tasty food, friendly staff, good value
Cons: could get a bit crowdy
