Tried the iskender. It was ok. We also tried the chicken nuggets - ordered too many on suggestion. Way too much food haha. Brownie was good. Not bad for “junk food”

I had the steak with the cafe de paris sauce. This is something I have never eaten in my entire life before. It was incredibly tasty. The menu has lots of options from so many cuisines. But the chocolate cheesake wasn't to my liking at all. It was low sugar and ketogenic, the waitress forgot to inform me about it. I expected a sugary proper chocolate cheesecake but sadly it didn't satisfy me at all.

Amazing friendly service, good vibes and energy (because in some places food may be tasty but energy is all wrong) and surprisingly good food. The pizza was a huge surprise as it tasted amazing, it was so good it actually converted my hardcore csrnivore friend who even ordered one to go.

Vwgan Cartel needs to refine the "chicken" seitan as it first generation veggie meat quality. More will be expected of them if they want to compete in the future. Yet, it was still a solid experience.
As for the wrap itself, it was tortilla, LOTS of fresh crunchy leaf lettuce, great tasting hummas and sauce. The veggie chicken went well with the wrap.
The wrap was so good, it could be served at Chicago Diner and be a star item there. (For those of you who know Chicago diner, you know this is a world class compliment)
Nice experience overall.

Vegan Food Cartel was our final eatery after a month in Istanbul. It was a good choice. There were three tables outside and more inside. It was a nice spring day, so we opted for al fresco. We're not frequent mock meat eaters, but the reviews suggested they were worth trying here. So we ordered the doner wrap and the crunch burger. They were great; would definitely order those again. The service was friendly and good value for a filling lunch.

After travelling around Turkey, it was great to visit Istanbul and the different vegan restaurants.

The burger was delicious and there was a very generous sized meat pattie in it. The chips were nice as well.
My partner got the shish kebab and wasn't a huge fan of it as it was a bit dry and didn't come on a skewer as expected (all the different parts of the kebab were separated, it was more of a 'plate'). I didn't get a photo of this though.
We came back again for breakfast. I had a cheese and pepperoni toastie which was nice but the vegan cheese wasn't very cheesy.
My partner got the American breakfast and found it a bit beige... needed some colour to it (eg avocado, baked beans, butter for toast etc would have improved it).
I liked that there was vegan and animal rights artwork up everywhere. The place had a good vibe.
Not the best vegan food we've ever had but it was enjoyable after the lack of options travelling Turkey!

Wow, the menu here has so many options, and the food is so good. Their vegan chicken is awesome and on point. It's my second time coming. This time I got the chicken Alfredo 😍. It's nice to get away from the typical limited vegan options like falafel and such.
