Amazing Comfort Food at Great Price - Edit
Everything I could hope for in a vegan restaurant. The food was incredible and the portions are quite generous. I got the Reuben fries with corned jackfruit and WOW! If the fries were that good I can only imagine how tasty the sandwich is. I also got the frito burrito (pictured) which was delicious and had a nice crunchy texture from the chips. Only thing that would have made it better was a little sauce of some kind, but still tasty either way! Highly recommend :)

Yummy tacos! - Edit
Baja Phish Tacos were yummy! The salsa that came with the chips was too sweet for my taste, but overall, the food was really good😄

Amazing Restaurant - Edit
Absolutely wonderful dining experience! The restaurant was clean and bright, and the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The Ruben sandwich (marinated jackfruit, sauerkraut, vegan cheese and dressing on toasted bread) was delicious. The Baja tacos (marinated heart of palm with an amazing slaw and the best guacamole I've ever had) were probably the best tacos I've ever eaten! I'm thrilled that they also have a huge GLUTEN FREE selection, including breads and all items clearly marked GF (if they are) and a dedicated GF menu. I will be eating here regularly! I'd give this place 100 stars if I could.

Yummy - Edit
I’m not quite sure how healthy this plant based kitchen is but it sure is yummy! We had the loaded tots, Fritos burrito and tacos. All was good. The cheese sauce on the tots is worth the trip alone. I’ll for sure be back.

Zero faults - Edit
Honestly this was a fantastic find. Food was legitimately all delicious and we found no faults with anything. Ordered the loaded nachos, buffalo ranch burger, burrito, corn bread, Mac n cheese and the Kansas City bbq sandwich- too much food for 3 people but we just wanted to try everything. The staff was lovely, and even with the AUD to USD exchange rate, it was absolutely worth the money. Our non vegan friend was impressed and has said they'll definitely be back in future.

Favorite in the northland - Edit
I used to get their food in the WB when they were a truck. I am so happy they are now a brick and mortar. Chicken Salad Sandwiches are, hands down, my favorite. BBQ sammy is a runner up as is the Frito burrito. I wish they had a soup special. The best dessert is the gooey butter cookie ask for it warmed.

Impressive menu - Edit
100% vegan restaurant. Impressive menu. Warps. Burgers. Tacos. Burritos. You name it. Also a rotation of pastries. We went to this place on our way to our hotel from the airport. Uber dude said this place used to be a subway. Wow. What an upgrade. Friendly staff. Clean place. Decor is pretty cool. But the food was really good. I got the Montecristo which is a deep fired triple decker sandwich and my wife got the fish tacos. Both really good. Definitely recommend it

Pleasant service with tasty food. The artwork may not be to everyone’s liking, but after seeing the horror movie “Thanksgiving” it’s mellow. :)

Great - Edit
I've never had an entire deep fried sandwich before, but now I have (and it was delicious) thanks to Tree Hugger! Also can't go wrong with buffalo cauliflower. I'm not very good at spicy stuff and it had just the right amount of spice. My nonveg friend also really enjoyed the chickn salad sandwich!

Delicious! - Edit
We ordered over the phone and the employees were very friendly. They had the order ready right when we got there and everything was perfectly hot. The Mac n cheese was some of the best we have ever had. It was a good portion and it was extra creamy. The buffalo cauliflower was crispy and the Rueben sandwich was nicely toasted. Definitely recommend!

Pretty Good - Edit
The Treehugger on the north side of Kansas City offers a substantial vegan menu, making it a convenient choice for plant-based options. While everything I've tried has been good, I must admit that nothing has stood out as exceptional.
Read moreMy personal favorite is the Chickn' Caesar Wrap(not pictured), a standout dish that never disappoints. While it may not be my top pick in Kansas City, I often find myself dining here due to their accommodating hours. A reliable spot for vegan eats in the area.

I stopped there in a hurry but hungry, and the lady was really nice! It was my first time there so she helped me choose something she'd recommend and that could be made quickly, and the food was really good! I will visit again.

We got dinner plus sandwiches to take on the road the next day (Kansas is mostly a vegan dessert, as far as I can tell). Everything we got was excellent! Loaded tots were a huge portion size. Desserts were delicious!

I got the chicken salad sandwich - Edit
A different pit stop on my visit to Kansas. We were on our way back to the hotel and I saw this place was open from happy cow so we stopped by. I’m really glad I did. It was funny because the guy behind the counter gave me extra napkins and I was like I must be needing these as a joke. But I did. The sandwich was the delicious kind of messy. The kind you love if that makes sense. And it was just really good. I would definitely stop in again

So delicious - Edit
We were traveling through Kansas City and wanted to eat something out of the ordinary, and Tree Hugger hit the spot! I had the buffalo Mac N Cheez wrap and my husband had the Monte Cristo. These might not have been the healthiest choices (our decision), but they were so good. We also loved the assortment of board games we could play. My husband sank my battleship!

Options galore and good food! - Edit
Amazing service, food came out quickly. Cute place. Got the Mac, reuben, Cesar wrap and tots. All really good. I would have loved a cashew based cheese to add a little more depth and flavor w out being oily but hey I’m really picky lol. Cesar wrap was awesome, loved how they used jackfruit in the reuben although tempeh is my fav for those! Overall awesome place

Delicious! - Edit
Everything our family of 7 tried was so good (I sampled everyone’s!) The Monte Cristo sandwich was beyond amazing. They are closed the rest of the time during our stay here in Kansas City, or else we would definitely come back. The owner was friendly and accommodating. The only bad thing is that they don’t have a location in my hometown!
