We were traveling through Kansas City and wanted to eat something out of the ordinary, and Tree Hugger hit the spot! I had the buffalo Mac N Cheez wrap and my husband had the Monte Cristo. These might not have been the healthiest choices (our decision), but they were so good. We also loved the assortment of board games we could play. My husband sank my battleship!

We walked into friendly service and delicious food at Tree Hugger. I ordered the buffalo mac wrap and it was really good. My fiancee got the chicken salad sandwich which she said was amazing. Would definitely come here again the next time I'm in Kansas City.

Amazing service, food came out quickly. Cute place. Got the Mac, reuben, Cesar wrap and tots. All really good. I would have loved a cashew based cheese to add a little more depth and flavor w out being oily but hey I’m really picky lol. Cesar wrap was awesome, loved how they used jackfruit in the reuben although tempeh is my fav for those! Overall awesome place

Everything our family of 7 tried was so good (I sampled everyone’s!) The Monte Cristo sandwich was beyond amazing. They are closed the rest of the time during our stay here in Kansas City, or else we would definitely come back. The owner was friendly and accommodating. The only bad thing is that they don’t have a location in my hometown!

It has a charming atmosphere. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. There were 4 of us and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the fish tacos which were outstanding. My husband had the Rueben and he said it was quite flavorful. All in all, the food was very good and we will be returning to this cafe.

Great little vegan spot in riverside area - Edit
My husband and I blew into the KC area late Friday night. By the time we reached the restaurant we were working with 30 minutes before closing. The staff was super gracious and didn’t rush us at all. Food was delicious and served quickly. I had the BBQ Sammie and my husband the chili cheese burger. We could have shared the tots (so many tots!).

Dessert was had.

I absolutely loved this place. The staff were incredibly fun and kind, the food was absolutely amazing, and the vibe was fantastic. I got the Chicken Salad sandwich and it was, without a doubt, the best chicken salad I've had since giving up meat. I wish we lived nearby so I could visit them more often, but if we're ever in KC again, we will definitely be repeat customers!

Phil and Mandy took a concept from a charming little trailer in the West Bottoms to a full-blown restaurant in the Northland, and it is hands-down my favorite Vegan spot in KC. Good vibes and excellent comfort food.

I can’t put into words how much I loved this place. I came with my mom and not only were the workers so joyful and respectful, they seemed happy to be working here which I loved, but everyone eating here was so joyful and kind as well! They even have games and wonderful beer options. The holiday decor shows the effort they put into making their place cute and inviting. The food itself was amazing and all the options sound amazing so It was so hard to pick an option. I’ll definitely recommend (:

Loaded tots were amazing. Cheeze, bacun bits, green onions, sour cream, and jalapeño on top a bed of crispy tots. Then the Monte Cristo, tofurkey, smoked Gouda and cheddar on a triple decker sammich, deep fried and served with raspberry jam…. So decadent!!

Excellent customer service, clean and nice colorful cozy place to eat at. I’ve been wanting a chicken sandwich that has not been made out of chickpeas and I’m telling you this chicken sandwich was fire 🔥 I also got the mac’n chz me and my son shared the Buffalo cauliflower bites, we both got a Gooey butter cookie and my son got the ultimate nachos with chorizo (all vegan) Delicious!!!! I will be going back. Sorry no picture of the cookies they had no chance at all.

Lovely clean space full of color art and plants. Easy to read menu. Had the Reuben and Buffalo Mac wrap. Both delicious, full of flavor and texture. Side of fries can be split with 2 people at least, weren’t the best fries but still good. Nice staff and compostable containers and silverware.
