So yummy ! - Edit
The menu was in french but the lady behind the counter translates it for you! There’s a few dishes to choose from - I went for the ‘burger cheesus’ and it was so lovely and tasty!
Read moreThe prices are around €9-€15 which are quite expensive but their portion sizes are really generous which makes up for it.
The location isn’t in a main square, it’s tucked away in an alley but it’s pleasant to walk to and the atmosphere created in the cafe/restaurant was really lovely. Would eat here again!
Pros: Big portions, Friendly, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Not in the main square

Excellence - Edit
The chef at the Judgy Vegan is a qualified chef and the Vegan food is delicious. The staff is friendly and next to food, they also sell the best Vegan chocolate on the market and cruelty free cosmetics. Even for non-vegans this restaurant is a hot tip.

Expected More - Edit
Very spacious restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seats. The menu was only in French, but the girl behind the counter translated everything for us. We ordered burgers with fries; burgers were alright while the fries were great. The pasta bolognese wasn’t that good. Adding more vegetables to their dishes would be a step in the right direction. They have a play area with toys for kids indoors as well. It was nice to have the option to eat outside.

The crepes, omg - Edit
I was in Brussels last week with a group of non vegans, and I was tired of side salads and fries. I found this place and wow! All I wanted were some crepes, and Judgy Vegan delivered! The apple-raspberry crepes were like cotton candy meets pancakes with plenty of fruit. I also got nachos because why not, and they came in an enormous portion in their own glass bakeware. They weren't my favorite (I prefer the American version with lettuce, tomato, etc while these had a variety of peppers), but the vegan cheese was delish.
Read moreOn top of the great food, the service was super friendly, they have free wi-fi, there's a small shop and a little corner for second-hand clothing, they have games under a beautiful skylight, and I bet half the stuff in the restaurant is reclaimed or upcycled. I sat for two hours just enjoying the ambiance (and trying to finish my crepes).
Pros: Homey, delightful setting, variety of delicious, hard-to-find pastries

cool place - Edit
Went there for lunch the other day and had the meatballs with sauce liègeois. It was tasty but nothing spectacular and a bit too expensive I think. But I loved the look of the place and same of the other things on the menu sounded pretty delicious too, so I think I'll try it again, maybe go to their brunch.

I don't often eat outside but The Judgy Vegan is an absolute fave when I do.
Read moreThe staff is super friendly, the place is very cozy and I never had a bad experience with any of their meals.
I'm giving it 4 stars bc I'm not super fond of their desserts though so I usually pass them, and the fries are often a bit greasy, but all the rest is *chef kiss*

DELICIOUS! - Edit
I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place. I’m staying near by and have been here 3 times in the past 4 days! I’ve tried the Spaghetti bolognese, cheesecake and burger cheesus. They were all fantastic but the Spaghetti bolognese was my favorite. I did have to wait for a little bit but it was definitely worth it.

Lost quality in one year - Edit
I discovered the Judgy Vegan one year ago, and I was so happy with this place, I had the brunch menu several times, tried a few burgers, the nachos, amazing desserts... My non vegan friends loved the place as well.
Read moreHowever, in one year I think it overall lost quality: longer wait, less attractive brunch menu, fewer and fewer dessert options... Now I feel like they are just relating on their organized vegan buffet which is not my thing, since I'd rather spend 20€ for a meal, a drink and a dessert rather than only salty food, but I get why other people would like it.
I kept coming anyways and ordered nachos every time because the girls working there are really nice, the ethic of the restaurant is great, you want to support their project! But last time was it for me, it took really long to get serve, my iced tea glass was so much smaller, I had like 6 fries with my burger and they were SO greasy... At this point I'm giving up. I'm sorry girls but you really need to step up your game...
Pros: Ethics, Friendly service
Cons: Waiting time , Less choice

Hello Laureen,
Read moreSorry to hear that you do not like the changes we made to our offer.
We put a lot of work into constantly improving it and even more so during the last few months.
As regards the brunch menu, it was changed following customer feedback and most of them love the new formula.
We are also offering a broader menu, but keep the selection of cakes limited indeed to ensure maximum freshness. The buffet, offered approx. 2 days per month, is an add-on which is much appreciated by many (we've been fully booked again last week)
The ice tea is always served in the same big glass, if it was not, then it was simply a mistake, and we apologize.
Please note that while we always thrive to ensure the best customer experience, mistakes can happen. In that case we are always open to listen and if given the chance, fix the problem on site immediately.
Have a nice day,
Julie

Bland Food and Slow Service - Edit
Spaghetti bolognese was closer to ketchup than bolognese. Overall, the sauce was bland and sweet; there were maybe a few grams of vegan protein in the sauce. Nothing resembling what should be a vegan bolognese. The seitan balls were a bit better and more flavorful. The accompanying frits were oily.
Read moreFrom ordering to food on the table took nearly 40 minutes. There were only two other customers in the restaurant when we ordered. They too had to inquire about their order.
Whilst this place has great intentions and potential, they need to step up there game on food flavor and service.

Cons: Slow service, Mediocre food

Hello

Ok food - Edit
Nice and cosy place in the centre of Brussels. Happy to find vegan food there. Not so many options on the menu though, just a few burgers and then a few other things. Burgers were decent. I had the risotto, which was not that inspiring and small portion for the price.

Tasty comfort food - Edit
I went there with a friend for my first vegan brunch and loved it. There's good choice of comfort food, more than you can eat and a great atmosphere just around the corner of the flea market. Cakes and donuts are super tasty and the owners' are passionate about what they are doing. Female entrepreneurship as I like it. Will definitely return!
Read morePS: Now they are also offering hand cut fries. Where else would you get those? Since my first visit, I have returned numerous times. As a digital nomad, it's one of my preferred work places in Brussels :)

Overrated - Edit
I don't get the enthusiasm. I've eaten several times at that place, then chosen not to go anymore.
Read moreThe service is really, really slow. We waited one hour to be served a burger and a salad. I get that the staff is not robots, and I don't mind a little wait. Heck, I wouldn't mind a one-hour wait if it was worth it.
The cake we ate was meh, kind of dry and sticky. The caesar salad is pricey for the quality. The food in general is not original nor special, I could make the same at home for half the price. French fries are good though.
However, the place is nice and very inclusive. That may be the only thing I admire, it's a real vegan place with real social values.
Pros: French fries, Inclusive
Cons: Service , Food quality , Pricey
TheJudgyVegan
I am very sorry to read that you were disappointed.
Read moreOur hard-working team takes feedback very seriously and is eager to further improve our offer and your experience. I assume it has been some time ago that you visited us.
Since January, we are not offering the caesar salad anymore.
We are also aware and apologize that some months ago, the waiting times could get quite long. We were understaffed due to the health issues of one of our associates and probably not at our best.
In the meantime, we have been hiring and made several improvements across the board. I hope you will visit us again and enjoy it.
Please note though that we will never be able to match the same price as you would pay at home. On top of the costs for ingredients we have to pay for rent, labor, VAT, electricity etc.
Have a nice day,
