What An Awesome Place The Hippie Baker Is - Edit
So lucky to find this 100% vegan cafe as they had been closed for holidays and only opened on the day our cruise ship docked in Vigo. Lovely place and friendly people too. The vegan cinnamon bun and chocolate and nut cookie were delicious with fabulous coffee. We loved it and it was so close to the cruise terminal too. We visit Vigo in April next year on another cruise and will definitely revisit.
Read moreReturned to Vigo on our April 2024 cruise had tomato and avocado tostada which was amazing and so delicious. Took a cinnamon roll and lemon curd and blueberry cake away for later which were also gorgeous. Love this place and hosts Sonia and Marco are lovely people. Highly recommended.
Returned to The Hippie Baker on another cruise April 2025 and so lucky as we were supposed to go to Cadiz and due to bad weather we docked in Vigo instead. Had avocado toast and two cinnamon buns to takeaway. The food as usual was incredible and had to be THE best cinnamon buns we've ever eaten, baked with love by Sonia. We love The Hippie Baker an vegan oasis of calm ..If you go to Vigo do visit and say hello from Olive and say I will be back. Highly recommended.

We loved having this fully vegan bakery so close to our hotel! We went twice during our weekend in Vigo just to try as many pastries as possible. Everything we had was amazing: the croissant, chocolate croissant, cinnamon roll, and savoury roll were all top-notch. The coffee was great too! The space is small and fills up fast (when we showed up at open on Sunday morning, there was already no room to dine in!), so we took everything to go. But honestly, it’s great to see a vegan spot this busy!

It doesn’t surprise me at all that this vegan bakery has almost exclusively 5 star reviews. The homemade brioche was buttery and soft, and the homemade hummus on top of it was excellent, too. I also enjoyed their dried tomatoes tapenade a lot. The matcha cookie with white chocolate didn’t fail to impress either and the hojicha latte deserves a special mention, as not many places offer it, and the taste of this roasted green tea with oat milk was such a pleasant discovery. The tiny seating area is cute and comfy facing the open kitchen, where you are able to see how they create their goods. I furthermore liked that they had a local artist on display on their walls. Great all round!

We stopped in Vigo on a cruise and saw the sign for this place on the main road. We took a walk around the town then made for the shop for a well deserved coffee. We arrived half an hour before closing time but enjoyed a lovely cappuccino and a delicious slice of cake. Friendly owner and pleasant interior too.

This cozy, super cute bakery is a must-visit for anyone who loves plant-based treats! The entire menu is vegan, which is a huge plus. I tried a sandwich, croissant, and cake, all of which were absolutely delicious. The flavors were well-balanced, and the food was clearly made with care. El único sitio de Vigo para desayunar 100% vegano. Se agradecen locales como este en el que te puedes perder entre la gran variedad de productos de calidad de la vitrina. Tanto si eres de dulce como salado, es una parada obligatoria! Las napolitanas de chocolate calentitas por la mañana están deliciosas! Me recuerda a las francesas.
