I love herbarium, everything I’ve eaten there has been yummy and filling! The only thing is that it is on the more expensive side (especially for a student) but it is honestly worth it!

I decided to visit The Herbarium whilst working in the city. Their website showed a fantastically varied menu, and the Happy Cow photos suggested a relaxed atmosphere. This is exactly what you will discover!
Read moreI had the Do You Have Mushroom? With slow roasted tomatoes. You get a large portion - even for me it was a lot! I also had the Vit C Glow Up to wash it down with, which was lovely and refreshing.
I couldn’t resist cake - but the problem here is the utter agony of choice! There’s loads and they all look so tempting! Vegan satan at work I think 😂 I opted for the chocolate and raspberry tart. It was delicious!
I’d highly recommend a visit if you’re even remotely nearby. Enduring the city centre traffic is worth it!!

A really lovely cafe,with a warm welcome. I had tofu egg scramble on pancakes with facon. Omni partner had mushrooms on sourdough. Both beautiful.

A nice little place with cool relaxed decor and vibe. It’s a good place for brunch. We ordered a revitalise smoothie, a shakshouka & a herb Buddha bowl. The food was good value, the portions were big and the food was very tasty. Would recommend!

Lovely cafe! Incredibly friendly staff, as well as great natural light & very comfortable chairs. And of course the unparalleled food. I especially liked their incredibly creative vegan dippy egg. Would certainly return if I'm ever back in the area.

We stopped off here for a late breakfast and weren't disappointed! The menu is huge so you'll have plenty of options to choose from, but we decided to order the cinnamon french toast with bacon rashers. Delicious, fluffy french toast with fresh fruit and maple syrup. The bacon was overdone but still tasty, and the coffee was beautiful too! Would definitely come back to try more options from their menu.

Really fresh, delicious home, cooked vegan food. We went here for breakfast and there was a huge amount of sweet or savoury options. Lots of more traditional vegan cooking without an overreliance on fake meat- which was a lovely change.
Read moreI has the shakshuka which was faultless, I will be thinking about it for a while. My partner had the fake dippy egg which they really enjoyed.
Lovely venue too, with a couple of smaller cosy rooms to sit in and enjoy.

Given the lack of fully vegan venues in Lancaster, it would be easy for this place to offer so-so food, but it certainly delivers more than this.
Read moreI had the breakfast burrito and the herb Buddha bowl, both of which were delicious, and a decent portion to boot. On top of this, the restaurant itself tastefully decorated with a relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely look to go here again when I am in the area.
EDIT: I did go back again a couple of days later and it was just as exceptional. I got to sample the vegan breakfast which was fantastic.

Visited today. It’s a bright open space with numerous areas to sit. I was in the yoga studio which has a mixture of long tables with benches and tables with chairs.

I've been to the Herbarium so many times and it's never failed to please! My favourite dish is the mushroom melt (ciabatta with homemade pesto, mushrooms, and melty vegan cheese) but the pancakes (add bacon!) and waffles are also delicious. I have a hot chocolate with whipped cream every time I go and it's always amazing. The atmosphere is great. Last time I went, my boyfriend and I played yahtzee together (the Herb provides board games) 🎲🌱❤️
