Delicious food - Edit
We ate here when visiting Lancaster. Food was delicious. We ate in a large room next to the main room which smelt damp and the table was really too small - these things kind of took the edge off it for us as it was a bit uncomfortable. Couldn’t fault the food though.

Very pleasant experience in nice surroundings. - Edit
Firstly the building itself is a super place. There are three rooms plus a yoga room. A delightful snug would be the best choice especially on a cold winters day. The menu was surprisingly limited in its scope and was mainly lunch snacks rather than full meals. I had a perfectly tasty Buddha bowl but felt somewhat underwhelmed by the portion size. Still fairly hungry afterwards so has a side portion of chips as well. Admittedly these were very nice and not great in any way. Fantastic selection of teas available. With a little tweaking this could be a fantastic place and experience.

Plant based dream - Edit
Going to study abroad has always been a dream and with going abroad comes new food to try out. The Herbarium has quickly become my new favorite place in the world. The staff is friendly beyond measure, the food as tasty as can be. I am going to get food here many times to come.♥️

Cool chilled vibe - Edit
This really is a great place. Food and service was excellent on our visit. Good choice on menu. The yoga studio vibe is evident throughout. It loses a star mainly because we were shuffled in to a side room - a yoga studio. Meanwhile the main area had lots of single individuals on tables for 4-6 using laptops over a coffee. Not quite the fault of the cafe though. Will definitely visit again

Must visit! - Edit
100% vegan, everything we tried was delicious. All fresh, local produce. Very friendly staff. Aesthetic interior. Our favourite dishes were the mushroom cheese toasty and the vegan breakfast. So worth a visit. N.B. they're not currently answering their phone line because of limited staffing but are still open weds-sunday. Check out their FB page for updates. ❣️

Cute cafe - Edit
I really liked the interior, and the food was tasty. The only thing was we'd popped in for brunch and I didn't feel like a heavy meal, and lighter options were on the menu as add ons. I'd have liked a sandwich or some other light bite option that was less than a fiver.

Cannot recommend the Herbarium enough. Food is beyond amazing, the atmosphere to die for and also the fact that it's a multi-purpose space with lots of events going on. Well done to the staff for such a lovely venue!

A soggy and small burrito - Edit
I ordered a burrito for lunch, but it was a bit soggy and small. The flavours were there, but it was lacking textures and it was on the small side.

Lovely lovely cafe with a friendly welcome and a bit of gorgeous quirkiness to it. Love the layout and the little nooks and crannies. A shelf of books and games. And the Herb Big Breakfast and Breakfast Burrito were AMAZING. I don't think we need to eat for 3 days!

Prepare to drool 🤤 - Edit
Just moved to Lancaster, went to the Herb for brunch with my partner. There was so much choice we got things to share!!! We went for the savoury breakfast stack - absolutely delish - and the sweet caramel and chocolate pancakes!! They also do a selection of home made cakes; I’m currently snacking on the cappuccino cake I got to go. (I’ve not yet had a vegan cake that’s not been dry - this is lovely and moist and full of flavour).

loveliness itself - Edit
A witty and lovely reclamation of what used to be a hunting-shooting-fishing shop as a vegan haven. The food is inventive and delicious - beautiful cakes, light meals and soups. The atmosphere is chilled and welcoming; it's rare to find a public space so calm. They also run film events and yoga classes in different spaces in this lovely ramshackle building. It's a fabulous place.

New favourite place to go - Edit
It has such a nice vibe in this place. Everything feels rustic and homely. The tables are nice and big so I’d like to go here to study. The plates and cups are all in a nice style that suits the feel of the place well. They even have a “snug” area with low-down sofas, cushions and books. I’ve added pictures for people to see! Everything is vegan here so it’s nice to not worry about what you’re ordering. The cake I had was SO good too! Can’t wait to visit again 😊

Lovely tea, coffee and cakes - Edit
Made my first visit to The Herbarium this week for a catch up with my sister in law. We thought it was lovely here. Nice relaxed atmosphere, and bright and cozy on a dark winters afternoon. The choice of drinks was excellent, and the blood orange tea, and the earlgrey tea were good. I also had a cappuccino with coconut milk, also good. We got the last piece of carrot cake, no wonder, as it was moist and fruity and really tasty. We'll definitely be back here.

I would highly recommend any vegan (and non-vegan) to come to this cafe/restaurant if you're in Lancaster. The food tasted incredible, the drinks menu was extensive and the decor/style/vibe was so pretty. The staff were lovely as well.

Lovely little cafe - Edit
Very tasty and hearty freshly made lunches. Excellent bread. Devine hot chocolate. Relaxing, welcoming and safe space with snug to rear; basically furnished and fitted with beautiful chunky crockery and the odd wobbly table. Reasonably priced. Central location.
