Don’t miss this place

The food was exceptional and the service the epitome of southern hospitality. After a long road trip we wanted to celebrate my hubbies birthday and we got there only 30min before closing. The amazing chef who was also our waiter, made our experience so special. If your in savannah you gotta try this great spot!

Pros: Food was fresh and delicious, Hospitality , Ambiance

Best Thing I've Ever Eaten??

Food is locally grown and foraged. They specialize in mushroom dishes. Even if you don't like mushrooms, you need to try this place. Atmosphere is great. I devoured my plate and wished there was more.

Pros: Locally sourced, Friendly knowledgeable staff

So damn good

If you like mushrooms, this is the place for you.

Creative, delicious, adorable setting

Garlic bread- so creamy and delicious
Steak sandwich - this isn't really my kind of food but it was so good, just very filling
Cacio e pepe - amazing, mushrooms were incredible

I loved the setting! We sat out back on the deck and it rained and it was so cozy.

*Edit - went back twice it was so good. Preferred the oyster banh mi over the steak sandwich, but still all delicious

Fresh, Earthy Flavors

Love the fresh, foraging concept. Food was good… felt homemade and cozy. Prices are expensive for the portions you get, made sharing a little challenging.

Pros: 100% vegan

Great Place!

We loved sitting on the huge screened in porch. The cashew parm fries were fabulous. The Cacio e Pepe and Lion Steak sandwich were wonderful. Such a nice experience!

No

The vibe and the concept are great but the food was baddddd bad like I’ve never had bad vegan food before and this was it. The garlic bread was wet with some unflavored sauce. The blt tasted burnt I couldn’t even eat it and I’m not picky:/// service was bad and we never got a refund even though I didn’t eat. Wouldn’t recommend

Great food!

Had a great meal at The Haunt in Savannah. I ordered the "steak" sandwich and the garlic bread and my GF had the Bahn Mi... super tasty! My GF is vegan gluten-free and The Haunt was able to accommodate her dietary restrictions.

Pros: Good ambience , Great food, Great service

Cons: A little bit pricey

Absolutely delicious, albeit heavy, dinner

I really liked our meal here. We shared the cashew cheese garlic bread, the "boneless bang bang" fried mushrooms, the "steak" sandwich, and pancakes for dessert. Everything was very tasty and generously portioned. You do not want to miss the fried mushrooms if they're still on the menu! Also do get the pancakes if you have room for dessert (who doesn't lol). Light and fluffy, golden brown on the bottom and liberally doused in syrup, these were sinfully decadent. Service was very friendly as well. Only thing to keep in mind is that the menu is very mushroom-centric by design and the food is a little on the heavy side.

Pros: great food, friendly staff

AMAZING FARM TO TABLE PLANT BASED FOOD

The restaurant was cozy and quaint, yet roomy. Wonderful staff! The food is OFF-THE-CHAIN. The flavors he's able to develop from mushrooms is DELICIOUS. Whether you're a carnivore (no judgement) or plant based eater, you've got to eat at The Haunt. Best Vegan/plant based food EVER. Especially the Banh Mi, that's my favorite. Fresh Creative Vegan Cuisine

Lunch at Savannah’s newest vegan restaurant was delicious! I enjoyed the Porcini Banh Mi and my friend chose the amazing Poutine. Both were excellent and we’re looking forward to going back and trying the other menu items. The chef is very talented and creative, and they have great specials, but they don’t last long! Outdoor seating was a nice shady deck away from the street, a real plus! Overall, The Haunt has excellent food and is a lovely, convenient place to meet up with friends.

A great plant based find!

We are so excited to find such delicious plant based meals! We shared the “steak” sandwich, similar to a Philly Steak flavor. And a pasta dish, cece N Pepe, delicious. If you like delicious and unique plant based foods, you must try The Haunt!

Pros: Ambience, Unique flavor and ingredients , Affordable excellence

Cons: More options

Cozy & delicious

The decor is calm and woodsy. Our server was very helpful and friendly. The food is a little pricey, but I chalk that up to it being in a tourist city. It was really good though. I thoroughly enjoyed my banh mi and kombucha.

Pros: Incredible seasonings & sauces, Unique mushroom focus, Pleasant atmosphere

Cons: On the expensive side

Worth every penny!

This is one of the most creative, flavorful restaurants we’ve ever been to. First I saw the price and thought maybe too pricey —until the first bite. The pasta dish was literally the best I’ve ever had. And the garlic parmesan bread was my husbands all time favorite. And we go to Italy every year! The use of mushrooms is brilliant. Service was helpful and so friendly and efficient. We love this place. Can’t wait to go back!

Pros: Flavors, Service, Creativity

In Love 🖤 🍄 ✨

This is the only "forest-to-table" restaurant I have ever been to, and I was very impressed by the versatility of flavors and bold usage of mushrooms across the menu. Would highly recommend the cashew cheeze garlic bread and pad see ew! The ambiance of dark, witchy-vibes made my inner-Scorpio sing 🦂 Thank you for making our trip to Savannah extra special - can't wait to come again!

Pros: cool ambiance, friendly staff, good portions

Maddeningly Delicious

I went to The Haunt for dinner two days in a row while visiting Savannah and I cannot get over how delicious this food was. I was MAD it was so good because I could not wrap my brain around how it was made to be so tasty. I became vegan in LA, surrounded by some of the best vegan restaurants in the US (I'm a vegan food snob), and The Haunt is now way at the top of my list. Other restaurants can learn a thing or two from this chef! Do yourself a favor and order the garlic bread. It's some of the best garlic bread I've ever had (even in my pre-vegan days). The Bahn Mi, Collard Fettucine, and The Hedgehog were all indescribably fantastic. I will be visiting Savannah in the future solely for this food.

Overrated

In a town with only 2 other truly vegan restaurants it's not that hard for people to think you're great. Thing is, the other two actually are great. If this restaurant was in a bigger city they wouldn't receive all of this praise.

Finally tried it and it really was expensive. More than I've spent at better places in more expensive cities. I know they are all about mushrooms, but there's a limit to all things. Maybe cut down on the fancy mushrooms and your food would be affordable.

Also, the "Bánh mì" was a joke. Did it taste pretty good? Yeah. Was it a sandwich? Technically. Was it a bánh mì? Not really. It was just over sauced, you guessed it, mushrooms.

I will give them credit though. Places like this inspire me, because they show that in a smaller city it's easy to corner the market even if you aren't that great. Maybe I should open a restaurant.

So good!

I got the Bahn Mi sandwich with fries. The sauce was so good, the mushrooms were tender and tasty. Fries were cooked perfectly and had a nice seasoning.

Also got the mac and cheese. It was one of the best I’ve had. Very flavorful and definite not some oily store no if hot sauce. It was homemade and yum.

Server was a delight too.

Delicious

The mac and cheese with mushroom sausage was on the menu the day we went. It is a nooch/cashew sauce. It was one of the best mac and cheese I have had (Beatnik NYC truffle mac and cheese is my all time favorite). There were green onions for a little crunch. I got my protein and my B12 in that meal. The mushroom sausage tasted like Gardein crumbles but juicier and more tender. I wish I knew that magic. The portions on the dishes we got were huge. I ate another meal off mine and still have some left. My husband got the garlic parmesan fries. The vegan parmesan was really good. This was a huge plate of potato log type fries. He really liked them. It was a dill ranch sauce. It was very creamy. Then we had the cheesecake. We split it and still had to take it home. It was amazing and the fig/cashew/oat crust was delicious. The name of the place is The Haunt. They lived up to the name. It feels like we were let into a witches cottage in the woods. Black paint on the walls, plants, and pictures of mushrooms. Of course, I chose to sit in the main witches cottage dining room. But there was a screened in back porch and an outside area with Edison lights. I could see the bar from where I was sitting and it was very elegant with a witchy touch. The service was very upscale. He was very attentive and refilled our waters a million times. The water is a filtered water with a clean taste. They have signature drinks and even cocktails now. The surrounding area is gorgeous Savannah.

Pros: Mushroom dishes, The theme

Delicious food... But very expensive

Delicious food but super EXPENSIVE. The Mac and cheese tasted... Weird. Prefer the chipotle Mac from Fox and fig, if they are open.

The cheese bread formerly available at Fox and fig is very good, as was the bahn mi and Asian noodles.

Flavorful & downright yum

Had the sloppy mane. Filling sammie and came with thick, flavorful fries. Love that they forage their own ‘shrooms. It came with a side sauce which was *the best*, wish I had more of the sauce!
