Food was boring
Lots of bones on the walls and the owner eats honey and shellfish which is 100% not vegan. Was hoping for something better than this.

Pros: None
Vegans/Vegetarians so not support assaulters
To put simply, the owner is accused of 8 different acts of sexual assault and, last time I checked, that's not ok by any standard of measure and especially not something I would expect anyone paying special care to do no harm in their diet, would want to support either.
Please do not support this place.
Pros: It doesn't matter if the food is good. , It doesn't matter how hard you worked for it. , Because you can't undo the harm caused. A
Cons: Owner, Culture, Systems upholding 1 and 2.
do not support this establishment
Please do research on the owner, don’t support this place. Am disappointed to find the restaurant is reopening after all the allegations came out.
Disappointed in owner
Bummer to have eaten here before reading the news about the guy who opened this placed. Not worth supporting someone harmful for some overpriced mediocrity
Amazing food, but bad service. Please research the owner.
So it was 1pm when we tried to eat here. Their social media and website both say they are open, with no posts indicting otherwise. We planned our day around stopping here for lunch. We get there and they’re closed. No sign up. No one answered the phone. Ah whatever, we can try again around 5pm and enjoy the brewery and other bars in the area. It’s a very cool area. I understand sometimes things come up and they may have to open late for a myriad of reasons.
So we return around 5:30. We’re the second customer of the day. We place our orders. An hour and forty-five minutes pass and the meals finally arrive… a lions mane sandwich with fries and cacio e pepe. Wow. Really amazing food, I must say. Incredible food. I loved every bite.
The waitress tells us the owner and chef used to be the chef at Fox and Fig, which explains a lot. We love Fox and Fig. That’s been a must stop for us in Savannah for at least 5 years now (we usually go multiple times in a singe trip). Amazing! So what do I do? I look up the chef to learn more about the person making such delicious food. Big mistake!
Don’t look this guy up if you want to ever enjoy the food. Locals with knowledge of his past do not even go here anymore after the allegations. Some won’t even return to Fox and Fig. Our waitress mentioned it wasn’t opened at the correct time that day because they’re “having a hard time finding good help.” After reading about the allegations, I have no doubt why they’re not finding good help.
Draw your own conclusion from your own research. Personally, I won’t be returning. I can get past poor communication about the hours… and fresh food taking one hour plus to be ready… but I cannot financially support this owner/chef.

Don't eat here. - Edit
I was really really excited for this place to open, I'm a Savannah local. But, the owner has had multiple (5+) allegations of sexual assault. Being vegan means being conscientious - I choose not to eat animals, and I choose to believe women and not support businesses that are owned by people who are harming others.
