Great place for lunch

Really good food and lovely service, definitely a great place to stop off for lunch! The menu was small but still had a wide range of dishes and I definitely recommend a visit.

Highly recommended

So much care to provide a diverse, satisfying and tasty vegan menu. Maybe the first time I've ever been glad to sit outdoors in the looming rain to enjoy a meal.

Pros: Quality, masala oyster mushrooms

Disappointed

We was very excited to come here! When we arrived we was told that the menu had changed, (old menu still up on there website) this meant after the excitement of choosing what we was going to have a week in advance had gone. We shared two main courses, the arrabiata gnocchi was ok nothing to scream about, the other was smoked pumpkin risotto: this was awful... there was so much smoky favour that it was inedible and it even made us feel sick for a few ours after the meal. This also gave us an upset stomach. After the experience we had we choose to go else where for breakfast.

super tasty

I've visited the green rocket many times, it's a beautiful little restaurant in the centre of bath!! I normally visit for breakfast as I love the selection (and the edible flowers!!), the granola is my favourite.

I've also had the gnocchi, korma, burger and polenta caponata of the lunch/dinner menu - everything tastes super fresh and it's refreshing to visit a vegan restaurant thats not exclusively salads or vegan junk food😄

if you visit leave room for dessert and get the sticky toffee pudding - you won't regret it ☺️☺️☺️

Pros: fresh tasty food , super affordable , cakes!!

Disappointing

We drove down in October from Stroud, very excited to have a vegan breakfast. Attracted by the excellent reviews.
We ordered two full breakfasts.
Super bland, bread was like a supermarket loaf, sausages were like Linda McCartney, Mushrooms were boiled, wet and tasteless. The spinach had no seasoning.
Edible, but tasteless and poor texture. Sort of food you may get in carny restaurant, when they have to make vegan food.
Did we go to the wrong cafe?
So disappointing. Not sure I can trust reviews. Was it a very very bad day or fake reviews?

Pros: Vegan, Coffee was OK

Cons: Tasteless, awful

Lovely little cafe with good food

Came away for a little break and had an evening meal and breakfast at this cafe. Both visits were Covid safe and the food was extremely tasty and flavourful.

Pros: Fully vegan venue. , Good choice on the menu

Cons: Limited seating

Great breakfast

Absolutely delicious fully vegan breakfast and such a generous plate too- good value for money. Also had oat milk flat whites which were good. Loved how the place was fully vegan and appeared to not even have cows milk on site! Would highly recommend.

I’d give it 6 stars 🌟 if I could!

Really friendly staff, great atmosphere and the food is amazing! Definitely worth travelling the hour plus from Gloucestershire, we will be back!
It’s so nice to have the whole menu to choose from, the all vegan restaurant is the way to go... we were spoilt for choice. The highlights were the polenta chips, mushroom burger, Caesar salad starter, padrón peppers or was it the vegan wines and beers on offer or the extensive dessert menu???
All Brilliant, thank you so much 😊

Pros: All vegan restaurant , Friendly staff, Licensed

Cons: We’re not local ☹️

Amazing vegan restaurant

If you get a chance to eat here you must! Imaginative, delicious vegan food. We need more restaurants like this! We had bang bang chicken, Caesar salad with tempeh, an aubergine dish and mushroom burger with rosemary skinny fries, followed by crumble and mocha tart . All delectable!

Pros: Fully vegan , Amazing foid, Friendly staff and great environment

Location, food, ambience all top notch

On a recent stop off to visit relatives we popped to Bath just to eat out here. Great location with views of the river and Abbey, The Green Rocket is a collection of rooms and an outside eating area. The staff were perfectly attentive and very aware of the situation regarding Covid-19. The temperature was hovering around the mid 30s and as such the Gazpacho had sold out, but the alternatives of King Oyster Mushroom Scallops and Bang Bang Cauliflower were superb. The mains of the Korma and the burger were very tasty. Be warned the chips come out superheated so give them a few minutes to chill. Lovely Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert and a variety of wines and soft drinks available, With the Eat out to Help out scheme running it was also extremely reasonably priced.

Pros: Location is wonderful, Fabulous tasting food, Staff

Post lockdown treat

A recent walk along the canal into Bath & impromptu lunch here. Really delicious vegan burger, salad & chips. Good service, friendly & polite. Sat outside & watched the world go by, including 2 juvenile peregrine falcons flying around. My perfect lunch!

Pros: All veggie & vegan, Quality food , Good location

Delicious vegan food - you must go!

Absolutely loved the food at green rocket - we ordered the gnocchi and burger - both were amazing. Sweet potato fries were great but that’s expected. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing too. Brunch looked good too but didn’t manage to try this.

Pros: Delicious food, Variety

Great vegan and gluten free choices, great location

Green Rocket is always busy but they’ll let you wait for a table. I love that you can clearly see what is vegan and gluten free on the menu. Cool restaurant with a good atmosphere. I’ve really liked everything I’ve eaten here and am usually too stuffed for dessert! Close to the river and a cute park, with parking close by.

Pros: Good selection of vegan and gluten free foods , Great location , Outside seating

Lovely food, lovely staff

Went here for lunch and cake. Food was really tasty (had trouble choosing from the menu because it all sounded so good!) and staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Nice relaxed atmosphere as well, didn't feel rushed at all, which makes a nice change from some places. Would reccomend if you're in Bath!

They still serve dairy.

We went to visit Green Rocket Cafe again, after hearing they had taken the leap to fully vegan. We were so excited that we invited our friends visiting from the other side of the planet!
Unfortunately, the majority of their food was disappointing, bland and lacklustre. The only positive being their onion rings which were delicious!
We didn't mention our concerns whilst there, for two reasons - they were rushed off their feet and nobody asked us how our food was. As I stood up to put my coat on, a family quite literally pushed us off our table - they had been stood in the corridor behind us, waiting to pounce on a table. The whole experience felt rushed and impersonal. Get you in and get you out.
When we went to pay, we kind of hoped they would ask how everything was so we could quietly mention it, unfortunately they did not. We thought about ordering a coffee - until we saw they were still serving cows milk? On google they list themselves as a vegan restaurant and their staff said everything on the menu was vegan, might be worth considering clarifying this to avoid confusion.
Happy Cow wouldn't allow a 1* review as they are listed as a fully vegan or vegetarian restaurant.

Pros: Location

Cons: Poor Food Quality, Poor Service, Serves Cows Milk but say they are vegan

Nice food, confusing menu

The food here was really nice, maybe on the pricier end but still a great option. I would definitely recommend the bang bang cauliflower, absolutely delicious! I just assumed all of the things on the menu were vegan and couldn't find anything on it that showed it was vego? Not even cows milk.
