almost perfect

So far, lunch has been awesome. I was just really disappointed with breakfast recently. The crepes were a tough and the falafel was mushy and a bit dry, and the coffee was just horrible. I sent back the cappuccino and got a plain coffee but I think it's a personal preference: the coffee had a licorice/rooty flavor to it, which I really don't like. It left an after taste which didn't sit well. Coffee shouldn't be a reason to bring down a review, but at the prices paid, it's worth noting they should be better.
My favorite drink here is the ginger pineapple lemonade, that's fantastic. The club sandwich, the burritos, they were all excellent. I'm hoping I went for breakfast on an off day, and that it gets better. While I've spent a lot here already, I'll return to try other items I haven't had yet. For now I know what I don't need to try again but I'm glad this place is here now and seems to be doing very well.

Pros: entirely vegan, options for breakfast lunch and dinner, long hours

Cons: street parking, a bit slow to get the food out, inconsistent, some items excellent some not

LA's Grain Cafe opens up in LBC.

Long Beach has come a long way in the last few years with vegan options. The Grain Cafe is an incredible addition. The food is awesome, the people are cool, and their open early and close late hours are way convenient.

Pros: Portions are good., Wide range of options., Tasty

Cons: Street parking
