Excellent place for obtaining vacation groceries

We enjoyed stocking up at this local market. It offers a throwback circa 60s model of service with 21st century technology and know-how. Staff were extremely helpful in all departments including checkout.
We purchased fresh produce and staple items and “dairy” items. The quality was excellent.

Pros: Extensive inventory , Great produce, Helpful staff

Love the Co-Op!

This co-op carries all the produce, vegan staples, and vegan snacks you might expect from a co-op/natural food store, but also some unexpected items like Go Max Go candy bars. There are also plenty of clearly labeled vegan options in the deli, such as sandwiches made with field roast slices and chao cheese, and the bakery, such as apple turnovers and chocolate chunk scones. A great place to shop, friendly and inviting.

Glad I brought a cooler!!

Lots of vegan options to purchase that my local store does not stock. It is nice to try new things. I shop here every time I go to Port Townsend. Bakery did not have vegan options, so that was a disappointment. The store expanded since I was there last….I think.

You couldn’t pay me to shop here

I have a horrible experience every time I step foot in the co-op. The staff is consistently rude and condescending, their prices are astronomical. I am local and I wish I could love the co op, I just don’t.

Judgemental & Unfriendly

If you are not wearing diamonds or L.L.Bean, BEWARE. If you've been camping a few days and aren't wearing Patagonia or Northface, BEWARE. For being a tourist town, we are finding the locals to be caustic and extremely rude. They had people following us, watching us, all during our visit. Then the cashier treated us like we were scum. Had same experience @ Aldritch's. In Safeway, they treat us like human beings, so we recommend the Safeway on Sims Rd.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Very Expensive, Cashier haughty and rude

Super Co-op!

Another example of the Pacific Northwest's excellent food co-ops with all sorts of local produce. Delicious soups, a small deli and oatmeal breakfasts available. Mornings also bring out the scrumptious $1 bran muffins (although they do contain some dairy). During the warmer seasons check out the Port Townsend Farmers' Market, which are stunningly good for local produce, especially mushrooms!

My favorite co-op

I love this place, and always visit whenever I go home to Washington. I think it has an absolutely wonderful deli. I eat a large amount of raw foods, and their deli always has a few really great choices, like the sunny slather, and either a raw lasanga or raw pizza, along with a juice and smoothie bar. I'm also a huge fan of the bye-bye birdie, a tempeh salad that is rich and satisfying. Another must is the rice and beans which is only $1.50, you can't get much better than that. As for the rest of the store, it has a wonderful produce section with a good amount of local items from Nash's Farm.

grocery great, deli disappointing

if you're going for grocery shopping, you're in luck. this is one of the largest co-ops i've been in aside from the pccs. the deli though, very disappointing. only a couple live food options along with the traditional deli offerings. nothing inspiring, very little vegan choices, no sandwitch bar (a couple of non veg premade sandwitches) and their hummus is terrible. great for shopping, but don't go hungry.

Pros: grocery, huge bulk, body care selection

Cons: deli is pathetic, 10% fee for non members, hummus, ick
