Satisfying Thai - Edit
I had the masuman curry with tofu, totally vegan. I like how rice was included in the price and it was very generous portions. No photo as I got takeout before catching the very but it was a feast that basically served as both lunch and dinner. Very friendly palace out of the main tourist loop and reasonable prices. Good stop before the ferry, definitely will go back next time I’m traveling down that way.

Way too salty!! - Edit
We were told they used tamari as a substitute to make their dishes vegan… maybe in place of fish sauce? We ordered 3 different dishes that all tasted the same and were WAY, WAY too salty! They need to switch to low-sodium tamari! Additionally, the tofu was over-fried and way too oily.

No curries! - Edit
I eat here a lot, it's good fast food type of Thai food and the staff is good about knowing what has animal products in it. I unfortunate was informed by them today that all of their curries have dairy or fish in them, non exceptions, no way to omit the animal products, and I'm floored. I was told that all curries everywhere have shrimp paste (which I know is not true), and when I asked if they have yellow curry I was told that it's made in a fish broth. So I'm a sad, curry-less girl today. Don't worry though, I found plenty of other things to eat, and I recommend the crispy tofu and basil noodle (made vegan)

The BEST fried tofu - Edit
I probably eat here more than anywhere in town. It’s really easy to eat vegan here, as another reviewer said, all sauces are vegan/veg oil based. Spring rolls are vegan as well as main dishes when ordered with tofu (except pad Thai but I think you could ask for it without egg).

Pros: Easy to make any dish vegan, Super kind staff , Fantastic tofu

Worth Every Penny - Edit
I've been going to 1-2-3 Thai Food for approximately 2 1/2 years. In all that time, the offerings have been consistently delicious. It is a relatively small restaurant containing about 8-10 tables. The menu selections can't be missed as you enter - they're colorfully plastered across the entire left wall. Although there is no designated "Vegan Section" in their menu, obtaining a vegan plate is as easy as, well, 1-2-3. First, you have their assurances that they only use vegetable oil on their grill and all sauces are vegetable-based. That said, any of the curry soup dishes (Red, Yellow, Green, Massaman, etc) are vegan and to which you can add tofu. There are also various fare that is vegan only and protein enriched once tofu is added. As Thai food goes, 1-2-3 deserves the many "Best Of The Peninsula" awards displayed for your edification.

Cons: Small dining area., Narrow aisle to get to the soda machine., Wished they were open on Sundays.
