Amazing! - Edit
After a week camping we headed here for an early lunch on the way home and I am so glad we did! We had the ‘fish’ and chips, and I had a hot chocolate that might be the best one I’ve had since becoming vegan almost two years ago! We also got scones and cake to take away, everything was delicious! The staff were so friendly and they made our dog so welcome! He got his own bowl of water and bag of vegan treats! He’s a recent rescue who doesn’t always love new people but was definitely made to feel at home here. Thank you guys!

Cream tea is back on my menu! - Edit
The Cornish Vegan is one of my favourite places to eat in Cornwall. The menu is not huge, but the selection is good, well prepared and very tasty. Good selection of cakes (also available to take out) and the cream tea alone is well worth making a special trip! Lovely staff and very dog friendly, even providing vegan dog treats (they got a big thumbs up from my Roxy!). They have won a few tourism awards this last year, which are very much deserved.

Perfect Unplanned Lunch - Edit
We were recently on holiday in Cornwall and had popped to Truro to visit the Quintessential shop a few doors down. Being surprised to see an all vegan café in this little city we decided to go in and buy a cake to take home. However, when we went inside and saw all of the lovely cakes and read the delicious sounding menu we knew we had to stay for lunch. It was warm so we sat outside, the garden was small and pretty. The food was all so tasty and clearly home cooked. The menu had lots of different options and the services was excellent. We had the soup of the day and a cream tea. Both were fantastic, along with our hot drinks. The prices were very reasonable. We look forward to returning next time we visit Cornwall.

Not bad - Edit
We were a bit disappointed because when we went there they only had sweet options. We went in the morning at about 10.30 so maybe they have more savory options at lunch. We prefer more savory breakfasts but we had some really nice cakes( the chocolate and caramel one was really good)

Hiya, so sorry you weren't happy with our offerings when you visited. As we clearly indicate on our door, menu and website, we only offer lunch from 11am-3pm, but offer cakes and cream teas all day. Perhaps next time you can come during lunch and try one of our many savory options.

Excellent - Edit
We had lunch here today. The cafe is very pleasant inside, with a bright airy and warm feel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Read moreThe food we ate was very, very good. The vegan fish and chips was excellent. It was easily the best vegan fish my partner has had and the chips were the best I have had, if not ever, then for a longtime.
I had cheesecake for pud which was very nice and my partner had a large slice of, I think, raspberry and rose cake which was delicious.
We will remember our meal here for a very long time. As others have said, it is a shame we live such a long way from Truro!
Pros: Many inviting options to choose from., Great display of lovely looking cakes.
Cons: Can't think of any.

I love The Cornish Vegan. - Edit
There I’ve said it.
Read moreUnfortunately, we live 243 miles away in the West Midlands, so a visit is a once a year treat that we always look forward to.
There’s always a warm welcome from Dawn when we do and it always makes us feel like we’ve come home. The food they create is nothing short of spectacular – healthy, tasty 100% vegan goodness and the prices are excellent. It’s usually very busy, so I recommend booking – most of my Cornish Vegan chums are regular visitors.
There’s no need to go into details of the menu, they use local produce as much as possible and everything we have tried has been amazing – just pick something and scoff away – your tastebuds will love you for ever!
There’s usually a selection of cakes from the fabulous Little Green Vegan Bakery, which you are duty bound to try when you visit. We usually get extra so we can have a break on the long drive home and enjoy some Cornish vegan baking.
We’re not due to vsit again for another 4 weeks, but my tummy is already rumbling!
Pros: Astonishing 100% vegan fabulousness, A warm welcome, Cosy, comfortable
Cons: None

Wow, wow, wow! - Edit
Super friendly service, and quick service too! I had the spicy chicken pieces to start (which were gorgeous, but not for the faint of heart!), and then the lentil and walnut burger (absolutely incredible, like nut roast/stuffing). For desert I had not just two slices of cake (salted caramel, and lemon and raspberry), but I also shared the cream tea. As a vegan of six years, I hadn't had a cream tea in what felt like forever! I wasn't disappointed, the scones were decadent and the coconut cream was gorgeous. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Everything I Hoped It Would Be - Edit
I have been wanting to visit The Cornish Vegan for a year now and finally got my chance on holiday in the area. It is such a magical place! The staff are so friendly and brought our a water bowl and dog treats for our dog (dogs are allowed inside). The menu is extensive and I could come back time and time again having something different each time. The food is amazing and they even have a range of vegan cakes which all looked so tasty. I had the Rose and Raspberry cake and it was amazing.

The Cornish Vegan is a lovely cafe in Truro. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful - we asked to take away scones and they packed the scones up and even wrote instructions on how to cook them. Not to mention the food was delicious, with an expansive menu ranging from healthy superfood Buddha bowls to “fish” and chips. The TLT was delicious, I loved the smoked tofu. The cafe really has a lovely homely feel about it. Even the “butter” is homemade! And there are a wide range of indulgent cakes, plus raw ones.

We are holidaying in Cornwall and made a special trip to Truro to try this place, it didn’t disappoint! Hot choc with marshmallows was gorgeous, I loved the flavours in the Buddha bowl and my raw tiramisu was to die for! Husband loved the fish and chips and children were happy with their food too. Wish this was closer to home!

Great Place - Edit
Visited for the first time November 2017. This place had a great choice on their menu! They were very helpful & accommodating in making a few changes to the dish I’d chosen as I can’t eat gluten or soy. Me & my Mum both had their BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich (well I had it as a salad) hand-cut fries with homemade tomato sauce.

So many purely vegan restaurants go for ‘junk’ vegan food - not this one! Delicious, wholesome, entirely homemade yum food. Every mouthful here was a taste sensation. Dog friendly. Sparkling clean and the friendliest hosts - will travel to Truro just to go there!! Very reasonably priced.

sausage roll! - Edit
Lovely atmosphere in a great area of Cornwall... the sausage roll had the best vegan sausages I’ve ever had! Reasonably priced, all mains either £6 or £6.50 I think. Though -1 star because my husband ordered the vegetable humous wrap, and it had barely any humous in it! Just raw veggies in a wrap. Otherwise, amazing place and lovely staff.
