great food & quick - Edit

We arrived shortly after opening and even then our food was ready in no more than 10 minutes for a group of six who all ordered different things! Every dish looked great and the ones I tasted were awesome. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Calgary!

Small portions, but big flavour - Edit

I've been to the café a couple of times, and to the store at the Calgary Farmer's Market as well. They offer both freshly prepared meals, as well as some frozen or refrigerated take home meals. The dishes are very flavourful, and delicious. The staff are so incredibly friendly. I will say that I personally find the dishes quite pricey for the amount of food you get. From the pad thai (which was around $12-$15), I did not feel very satisfied, and I ended up going home and eating something else.

Favourite place for vegan food! - Edit

My boyfriend and I try to hit up the Thai Vegan Cafe once a week.. We are definitely 'regulars' now!
It's by far my favourite place in all of Calgary to grab a quick and delicious meal. Satay skewers and ginger tofu never disappoint! Everything about the cafe is amazing. You absolutely need to eat here if you love Thai food - vegan or not.

Pros: Delicious, Fast Service

Cons: Small cafe so sometimes there isn't enough seating

I love the Thai vegan cafe! - Edit

One of my favourite places in Calgary to get amazing vegan food. The atmosphere is amazing- so friendly and relaxed. The food is amazing too, lots of options to suit everyone :)

Pros: Excellent food, Extremely friendly staff, Great vibe

Not a fair deal. - Edit

The portion sizes are amazingly small for the cost, the price is up to $14.75 for a TINY 2 item combo and rice. You definitely aren't paying for ambiance, as its located in a former sub shop, with only walk up counter service! The curry had nothing but bamboo shoots and tough eggplant. This place is really over rated and I feel like it is really successful at marketing to suburban vegans who want a sanitized "asian" food experience. Repackaging Taiwanese veggie meats for double the price of Asian grocery stores & removing the Chinese characters and milk/egg allergy warnings because they don't fly with the clientele rubs me the wrong way. Do not recommend.

Cons: small portions, high price

Lovely!! - Edit

I loved the food they had here, it was amazing! The brownies are a bit bland, but the rest of the food is excellent, and they have a neat little shopping section too with vegan versions of my old favourites!

Pros: Hard to find grocery items, Flavourful mains

Cons: Bland desserts

delicious food, friendly service! - Edit

This restaurant was terrific! They offered a lot of choices, and were very helpful in making suggestions for what to order. It has choices that will please vegans and meat-eaters alike, with its vegetable-centric dishes that are covered in delicious sauces. The desserts were fantastic too!

Pros: delicious food , friendly service , tons of choices

Cons: the lighting was a bit harsh

Wonderful - Edit

Have visited many times both to eat meals and pick up vegan treats for work.
The name highlights that it is a cafe and not a restaurant so keep that in mind and you won't be disappointed. Everything I have had has been excellent.
Our favourite is Thai yellow curry with coconut rice and salad with Glory bowl dressing followed by macaroons or chocolate cake. The cakes are from another supplier that the owners buy in but they are very good. Its our favourite place to eat in Calgary. Would love to see non GMO/organic produce being served.
The staff are friendly and welcoming and it is very popular which is great to see.
Free parking right outside - very convenient.

Pros: 100% Vegan, Excellent food, Quick service

Cons: not organic or GMO free, a little out of the way for us

Delightful - Edit

Absolutely wonderful. I had ginger "not" chicken with cashews,
that came with a fresh colorful salad, and a sumptuous portion
of coconut rice (extra 75 cents).
Don't know what I will have next time, there is a lot to choose from, and to take home.

Pros: exquisite food, friendly, kind owners, good value

Cons: too far away from me

Yummy - Edit

First of you enter the place and you are greeted by the most welcoming amazing people, really nice to talk to, and then you got the food really tasty and really good for you, I didn't had to ask for ingredients everything is VEGAN, they have also some of their dishes in frozen containers for you to take home, it is not expensive and worth checking out, this is for sure my new place, I will recommend this place for everyone not just vege/vegans

Pasky

Pros: Great people, Food is just amazing, It is not expensive

You can really taste the love - Edit

I went to Hearts Choices cafe for dinner with a friend for the first time ever, and it was one of the best experiences of my life.

First of all, the food is absolutely delicious and everything is made from scratch, including the tofu. All the flavours are perfectly balanced, no matter what you eat. We tried at least 5 or 6 different dishes and the combinations of flavours was absolutely fantastic. They also have a very nice choice of vegan desserts from a local vegan company.

Apart from that, the energy of the place is absolutely positive; both, Nan, the owner, and the server are extremely friendly and you can tell they love what they do. Nan, especially, cooks with all her heart, and you can definitely taste the love in her food.

Last but not least, we spent almost half as much as what we usually do when we go to other vegan friendly places.

This Thai cafe is 100% vegan, but I bet it would also blow away any meat eaters. That is, if love love tasty food prepared with the heart.

Pros: Delicious food, Extremely friendly atmosphere, Below average cost

Cons: None

Love their food! - Edit

My spouse and I have been customers since we discovered their booth at the farmer’s market years ago. We've always appreciated that the owners have gotten to know us as clients and we see them building relationships with other customers as well. We were so excited to hear they had opened up a cafe and finally got to go see it today. The space is very bright and clean, and the food was delicious, of course! I tried the Pad Thai and my spouse tried the ginger tofu and sweet & sour veggies. Both dishes were spectacular and we hope to stop by another day soon and try more on the menu. :)

Pros: good prices, decent menu size, stay/to go/ frozen items
