Safe to Take Your Omnivore Relatives and Friends Here - Edit

If you're looking for the unconventional, offbeat feel of a vegetarian burger restaurant like Winnipeg's Boon Burger, you won't find it at Tera V. There's nothing unusual here. On your first visit you'll know exactly where to order and what to expect. It's perfect for omnivores looking to eat a bit more healthfully, but nothing weird. It's a safe spot for solo diners or those with social anxiety disorder uncomfortable with new places. It looks like a standard burger joint.

Omnivores will love the No Bull Burger. Make sure to specify vegan if you are vegan. They will substitute daiya cheese and vegan mayo. Add the vegan bacon for some extra flavour.

Vegans may want to branch out and try the tempeh burger--it's really good.

Go ahead and order the fries--they're baked not fried and surprisingly good.

Almost every time my partner and I eat at Tera V, we have an interesting exchange with other customers or one of the staff. A meal at Tera V just always ends up being a great experience.

Tera V - Edit

We visited Tera V on a lazy Friday night out, and were pleasantly surprised with the various menu options. We decided to go for the BBQ Tempeh Burger and the No Bull Burger, and really wanted to add the vegan bacon advertised, but were told they were out. The staff were very friendly, but it took quite a while to receive our food, even though there weren't more than 2-3 other people dining in. We weren't in any rush though, and holed up in one of the booths. Both burgers were delicious, and the No Bull really stood out for me. I'd love to see a little more creativity and flair with the burgers, though - seeing as there are a few other vegan places in the city with out-of-this-world burger choices. I think this could really be a Kitsilano gem!

Tastes and feels like meat! - Edit

My boyfriend, who's a hardcore meat eater, thought the burger was beef until the very end when I announced that he was eating a vegan burger. Such good food.

Pros: Most things can be vegan, Big menu

Cons: Small eating space

vegan fast food - Edit

The No Bull Burger takes me right back to burgers I had rom fast food joints, minus that grease and animal fat. There is. I way that the average person would know these burgers are vegan if you didn't tell them.
I have still gotten that lethargic feeling after stuffing myself - something that doesn't seem to come from really fresh food - but if you're craving a typical burger, this is the place!

Just what I wanted, a basic burger. - Edit

I love the fact that I can go into this place and just get a burger in a wrapper, at a cheap price ($6.49 at the time or writing this), and eat it. I'm getting a bit sick and tired of going into places to get a burger just to be confronted with a price tag of $15+ with fries and salad etc. forced upon me. I got a burger. I ate it. It was good. Got a couple smoothies for the people I was with who were not hungry. The smoothies were alright - a bit watery for my idea of a smoothie which I make with fruit and perhaps a table spoonful of water if need be. Eh. They enjoyed them. So, think about it, for a price of about 13-bucks you get two burgers for less than the price of one burger at another place. It was a tasty burger. Nothing over the top, but it was good. I will be back to try all of the other options.

Pros: Great prices, Not forced to get fries/salad at double the price

Cons: Not everything is VEGAN!, Parking can be a bit of a bitch to find, Waaaaay far from where I live

wonderful in a pinch - Edit

Tera V is favourite place to grab a quick meal in kits. The service is wonderful, very helpful with suggestions and always kind. The sweet potato fries aren't the best, and I'm disappointed with the portion of fries. Their burgers are wonderful though and there is quite a lot of variety.

Pros: quick

Cons: not fully vegan

Great in a pinch - Edit

We tried this place because we were feeling lazy and wanted burgers and it was close to where we were staying. I wanted to love this place more than I did. The burgers were good, they were baked instead of fried so slightly more healthy. They forgot to charge us for and actually input my husbands meal so we waited forever before we realized what happened. They were good about it and offered us free fries and cookies. Not upset about it but their food takes awhile to cook so we had to wait around for his food. I like that everything is biodegradable but don't think I'll go out of my way to come back.

Pros: Healthier choices for burgers, Cookies

Cons: Long food wait times, Menu not the most varied

Place to get your burger fix - Edit

The first time I had the No-Bull burger, it totally blew my mind! It tasted exactly like a beef burger. It goes great with their yam fries. This is definitely one of my favourite places to get vegan burgers.

I only gave this 4/5 stars because the last time I came, for some reason I didn't think it was that amazing anymore... but it is still pretty good! I totally recommend this place.

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: A little expensive

Awesome Burger! - Edit

Whether you are a hardcore vegan or a carnivore extraordinaire, you will love this burger. It is THEE closest thing to the real deal I think I have ever tasted. I had the gluten free bun (which was stellar) with the tempeh patty and my bf had the no bull bbq burger and we both LOVED IT! We have been day dreaming about trekking across town since we went and will definitely be going back asap. The only criticism I have is that there is no East Van location. WHAT?? Seriously guys, get your butts over to Hastings Sunrise and KILL IT!! Or not kill it because you are vegan… :)

Pros: vegan AND GF burgers!!, environmentally friendly packaging, nice staff

Cons: not in my hood!

Perhaps the Most Delicious Vegan Burger! - Edit

I had perhaps the best burger I have ever had at this "fast food" restaurant. The No Bull Burger is just fantastic!

The only issue I had with the restaurant is that I was the only customer, and the burger took over ten minutes to bring out. I wonder how long it would have taken if there had been more customers at the restaurant? Someone else had warned me that they are rather slow at making their burgers. Was the wait worth it? Absolutely!

I asked what brand patty they use for the vegan burger, and she said it was made locally.

I might consider docking this place a point due to the slow service, but the No Bull Burger is so great that I am giving this place a 5

Pros: AMAZING Vegan burgers

Cons: Slow service

scocasso 10 Nov 2016 - Over 10-minutes is slow for a burger? Hm, you've got high standards. Perhaps you need to slow down and relax a bit :-) Actually, I live locally and do not recognize the patty they use; perhaps it's custom-made for them. The BEST store-bought patties I've ever had used to be made by the local Sunrise Tofu company -- they were so tasty and had all sorts of great flavours such as curry, teriyaki, etc. (using actual tofu, not soy protein etc.), but unfortunately they were ahead of their time by about 10 or 15 years including their great flavoured soy-milks which they did before anyone else was: cappuccino, coffee, almond, x-mas nog, chocolate... again, too far ahead of their time.

Great burgers and sandwiches ! - Edit

I always order Tera V Burger for delivery and it's still really delicious. I should go visit their Broadway location someday.... I usually order sandwiches for myself and the famous NO BULL burger for my husband who is a carnivore and LOVES it!

Most of the items on their menu can be made vegan.

Pros: Delicious food, Not expensive, Vegan friendly

Best Burger! - Edit

I recently went on a trip to Vancouver with the intention of enjoying the mecca of Vegan restaurants - after reading the great reviews, my best friend and I were determined to try it before we left and we were not disappointed!

The service was great, very friendly - the gentleman behind the counter even provided a discount card for our next visit after ensuring we enjoyed our meal.

The burger, oh wow you need to try this veggie burger! It was unbelievably good!

They even had Zevia pop as a beverage choice.

Highly recommend this place.

Pros: Food, Staff, Beverage Choice

Best burger in town! - Edit

I'm in love with their No Bull Burger. It's soooo tasty!
Plus, they have a great choice of organic drinks and the place is really nice.
The people working there are all very dedicated to what they do... It makes the service kind of slow, sometimes, because they want everything to be perfect. But that's really nothing to complain about!

Pros: Best burger!, Cool drinks, Cool place

Vegan Fast Food!! - Edit

Their no bull burger was amazing, and they have shoestring fries just like McDonalds! It's vegetarian, but all the stuff on the menu can be made vegan with vegenaise and daiya. I also liked the decor, it was modern with earth tones. I wish it was in east van.

*Update: be careful when ordering takeout to check that they make it vegan! They accidentally gave me real cheese on my vegan burger once, which I didn't realize until I was too far away.

Excellent food and great service - Edit

I love that practically everything can be made vegan and it's all delicious. My favorite is the Lentil Panini, but the no bull burger is a close second. Also last time I was there they were selling locally made vegan cookies and goodies that were so good!

Yummy smoothies are also available, just make sure you ask for vegan so they can substitute agave for honey.

The staff is also always super friendly and helpful and the restaurant is always clean and has a very nice atmosphere.

I would definitely give them 5/5 if they were 100% vegan.

Pros: great food, great service, clean and nice atmosphere

Cons: not 100% vegan

Yummy veggie burgers - Edit

Went to Tera V for the first time today and we will be back for sure! Had vegan no bull and tempeh burgers with fries. We asked for Daiya to be melted and they did a great job on the whole order. The place was super clean and the service was good. My main issue and that's why they don't get 5 stars (yet) is that they use Heinz ketchup and Hellman sauces in salad and dips (which I didn't use) but I would expect them to use alternative brands. Hopefully in the future.

Pros: Great burgers, Clean, All veggie

Cons: Small dining room

Great New Place! - Edit

Great new addition to vegetarian offer on West Broadway! Super quick and friendly service, great value and delicious food: we had the vegan version of BBQ Tempeh (my favourite) and NoBull burger, as well as yam fries. One suggestion: it would be great if the free water was more accessible.

Pros: excellent food, very pleasan interior, nice & quiet
